The computer didn't have internet, but the guy didn't need internet. He went onto an outdated forms app, and added the date, names, and address of the situation with Adrienne. He then opened Word, and typed up a small summary of what had happened.

You can’t have internet because Scadrial doesn’t have the tech for one. A ten year old computer could access the internet if an internet existed though. (I’ve used those ten year old computers when they were new, lol!)

Kelsier suppressed a yawn. The problem with being so young was how easy it was to get tired. You were either exhausted or super energized with no in-betweens.

...Which is why it isn't connected to the internet.

Also, I never said that the computer was 10 years old.

But I'm saying it now. It's ten years old.

The guy finished, and went to make himself a cup of coffee. (I won't detail this because I haven't ever made or drank a cup of coffee.)

Kelsier froze time, exiting the cabinet, careful to shut it behind him. Then he began moving with steelspeed, dropping the bubble as he did. A moment later he was back at the computer, bubble up once more. Time to see what these people had.

I need you to tell me what he sees.

This specific branch is going to specialize in assassination. He'll see lots of names and dates on the forum, and if he went onto the folders with saved Word documents, he'd see a bunch of mission reports.

There's no information on other bases, because the boss doesn't trust people that far down the chain of command with that information. None of them have even met the boss.

(In other words, I don't really know.)

The people (obviously) didn't notice. There was only one other person in the building at the time, and she was in an office. The rest were at their homes.

That’s a lot, actually. I’m going to need a basic idea of the kind of people they’re targeting.

Kelsier scanned the various pages and files. He could tell these people weren’t used to this system; they left too many holes. Within seconds Kelsier had memorized every piece of information he could get on the computer.

Smiling, he returned to his cabinet.

I'd like to join.

Spoiler

Name: Rylia

Appearance: Short teenage girl with short dark hair and dark eyes

Skills: Quarterstaff, climbing, acrobatics, bow, smart, good at figuring things out

Weaknesses: Skinny, loner

Personality: Introvert, avoids confrontation, overly shy

Background: She's Scadrian. When she was younger she got her hands on some stored Allomancy. Nobody knows how, she was too young to remember it, but now she's effectively a Fullborn. She isn't a savant tho.

Investiture: Soulbearer (F-nicrosil)

Probably worldhoppers from earth who they don't think are going to join them, and people who either decide to leave, or who find out about them and decide not to join. Maybe the occasional politician.

A bit overpowered, but the power can be taken away...

So I guess it's fine?

Allomantic stores automatically return to Nicrosil when not being tapped. The reason for this is unknown, but the transfer isn’t permanent.

Wouldn’t Allomancy just make her Mistborn? Not Fullborn?

Kelsier turned the information over in his head. A lot of names, few of which were Scadrian. He made special note of those that were, storing them under a separate index.

Having finished that task, he slipped out of the closet again, returning to adolescence as he tapped the remaining man on the shoulder. “Hey. Got a message for you.”

Um, I've had an idea for a NPC that would be way cooler as a player character if you want. To hear it.

And it would give you the perfect opportunity to enter the main plot. And you'd have a lot of powers. And I'm pretty sure Kelsier wouldn't kill you. :P *looks at you hopefully* Up to you though. If you're interseted, I'll PM you.

And you could keep most aspects of your character. Just not the Investiture.

And the backstory would probably be a bit different.

Kelsier smirked, tugging at his shirt to expose the stylized flower in the space between his shoulder and chest. (It’s on the upper part of the pectoral, near where the muscle reaches the shoulder.)

”Master Thaidakar sent me,” he explained. “I have a message for your boss. Think you can pass it on?”

Kelsier smirked. “Great. So first, we’d appreciate it if you didn’t attack any more of our safe houses or our people or people under our protection. Optics, you understand. We look bad if we can’t protect our own, right?” He smiled disarmingly.

”And second, my boss wants to arrange a meet with yours. Hash this whole misunderstanding out. That’s the real reason I’m here; I’m the twixt.” He grinned, settling himself on the edge of the desk. “So, can you tell him?”

"Uh... Not personally. I've never met him." He said. "I can tell the person who has met him though." He offered. And I need to join their side. The boss doesn't really care if we live or die.

Kelsier needs to stay there for a moment...

It has to do with Gneorndin's character.

:)

And Hemalurgy.

Since when does Kelsier ever do what he’s told?

Kelsier nodded, getting up. “Great. If he’s up for the meet give the message to the bartender. Tell him it’s for the Marewill gang. One of our people will pick it up, and then we’ll contact you again.”

He opened the door, heading toward the building’s exit. “Nice doing business, gents. Hopefully we’ll be seeing a lot more of each other - in a good way, o’ course.”

But I'm pretty sure that this is something he'd want to know!

They are doing experiments with Hemalurgy.

They have a Hemalurgicaly spiked teen stashed in there somewhere. I'm adding the character sheet to the original post.

"Okay?"

Maybe start pounding on the Aluminum walls of your cell/room. You know, so that Kelsier knows of your existence before he leaves.

The shorter man looked at the lady, who was in one of the other rooms. She nodded, and put in an earring. She grabbed a vial, and walked down the hall toward the noise. She drank the vial (It contained brass and duralumin) and went to open a hatch on the door.

I stop screaming and pounding and fill Duralumin, severing all Connection instantly.

"Do I know you?"

Kelsier tilted his head slightly, hearing the screams. He flaired his bronze, picking up the faint pulse of hemalurgy from the other end of the corridor. So they were playing with spikes, were they? Interesting, but not surprising.

Either way, it didn’t currently concern him. Shrugging, Kelsier left the building. He’d done what he came here to do, after all.

Besides, he could always come back.

What part of ‘Kelsier does not do what he’s told’ confuses you? He has no reason to try and rescue someone he doesn’t know, especially if doing so interferes with his plans.

The lady looked at the note by the door, which basically said she was going to do that. The lady raised an eyebrow, and then flared both metals. She gave her one command: Stop pounding on the walls.
