The muscled man grunted and left the store.

The man in the white trench coat huffed. "Rude, aren't we?"

He went back to looking at the shelves, completely oblivious to the commotion going on at the end of the store. He brushed his stark white hair from his eyes with a gloves hand, his eyes scanning over the miscellaneous items. The man hummed to himself as he picked up a jar of something he didn't recognize. His brow furrowed when he read the title, shaking his head slightly as he turned to the other people.

"Do any of you have a clue what this is?" he asked, holding a jar of glowing liquid, the title too far away to be read. "More importantly: Why is it in a local supermarket?"

"Something you should be very, very afraid of," replied the man. "Now. Have you seen the orb I described?"

The mustached man was completely enraptured by the gauntlet, completely refusing to take his eyes off of it."Tell me, what does it run on? How does it work? May I handle it, just for a moment, it'll be back to you before you know it." The mustached man reached forward to grab the gauntlet.

The man snapped, and the cuff of Mustachio's sleeve turned to dust.

"Impossible, I'm afraid," he replied smoothly. "The gauntlet is nonremovable."

A mischievous glint came to Mustachio's eyes, "nothing is 'nonremovable' with the right touch." He started to slowly reach into his coat pocket while not looking away from the gauntlet.

“Good to know.” Kaesiel continued probing, keeping one eye in the physical, one in the Trace. Her scouting of the market’s perimeter made it a few hundred feet before her body’s anchor stopped her from going any further.

"So, Kaesiel, ought we to go?"

"Yes! Let us leave, faithful minio- sorry, 'equals'!" He begins to leave the store, not waiting for the other two to even follow."

Exodus followed, more out of curiosity than a desire to rule some multiverse. "Have you ever done this before?"

"Of course! I raise an army of zombies and other undead, my army gets destroyed by a massive coalition of goodies, and then I run away to another multiverse before rinsing and repeating!"

"...how massive of a coalition are we talking? And what do you plan to do with the multiverse once you have conquered it?"

"Enourmous! Unending! Usually bigger than a hundred people!" He says. "And I'll rule it, of course!"

A clank sounded as a handheld device struck the floor. Mustachio jumped back and let out a brief curse, "alright, alright, I get it. I mean, come on man, I just wanted to learn how it works so that I might be able to replicate the effects, no biggie."

"It requires material from my homeworld rather difficult to obtain," replied the man. "Trust me, it's not worth the trouble. Now, have you seen the orb?"

"Let me try on the gauntlet and I might be able to remember."

Firebrand takes a match out of one of the boxes, and lights it. Then he lights all of them, throwing them into the shelves. He somehow finds a flame thrower in which he starts burning down shelves and screaming maniacally.

The man in the white trench coat took a causal step back from the fire, still looking at the jar in hand. He then looked up at the fire, raising an eyebrow in the direction where the fire had come from then shrugged as if it wasn't the craziest thing he had ever saw. "Thank you for the light," he said casually as he looked back down at his hands, twisting the jar of glowing liquid.

Now that’s looking on the bright side.

Spoiler

I’m sorry. I had to.

“Hmm... on the other hand, the fire weapon seems useful. What would you say are the chances of getting that off of him?”

On the other hand. . . Literally.

The burning figure keeps throwing flames everywhere, setting off alarms.

The man looked up towards the new voice. He cocked his head. "The means that I would use might not apply to you as they would for me."

"For the last time," said the man "it's nonremovable. Implanted. I can no more remove it than tear off my own arm." Black light crackled up the gauntlet ominously.

"Ah, yup, see? There it is, that disconnect again. Your tone of voice is telling me that it would be a problem, but I don't see one." Mustachio reached into another one of his pockets. "If you'd just come with me, then we could take care of it in no time."

The cashier from earlier stalks over to the guy with a flamethrower and pokes him in the back of the head. He should fall unconscious.
