Yes, I'm acting differently. I gave entirely valid reasons that seemed to satisfy everyone except you.

I think I misunderstood myself, I mean out of us two...as in..not us. yeah. coulda said that way better.

I think that "not being a special role" is too easy of an excuse for me to be completely satisfied with it.

EDIT:

Uh I see ash's name but imma give a vote count because I think giving VCs is scummy and yeah

Danex (1): Mat
Connie (2): Illwei, Fura (are they pocketing me here?,,,,
XP (1): Araris
Gears (2): Stink, TJ

It satisfied Mat...

When does the cycle end? I have church tomorrow and my mom doesn't want me on the computer much either. I'll probably be on enough, but my first priorities are my RPs.

Good for Mat.  :P.

Fun Fact: I know it may seem crazy (wait, or is that just me..) but I in fact am not Mat. I know, I know, I get us mixed up sometimes too.

Wow, really? Couldn't tell, sorry. Edit: I don't know what to tell you other than to reaffirm that I am not an elim.

I'm in Mountain Time, and the cycle ends at 5:00 pm PST tomorrow, so... help?

Yeah, np. it happens :P.

so 6:00 your time tomorrow.

I think that it's unlikely that both Connie and Illwei are elims, since their interactions don't feel like they were planned on the elim doc to me and Fura said that there's a reasonable chance that it's not a v/v lynch, so lynching either Connie or Illwei would probably provide us with some pretty good information no matter what. I'm currently reading Illwei as slightly more suspicious, so I'll vote for Illwei

Thanks. I've got 24 hours to change people's minds. Edit: About me.

Wait, so because I think logically I'm an elim? I'm just observant and usually have a good memory. I'm confused about how doing a good job pointing out contradictions leads to you thinking I'm an elim.

You pointing out someone else's logical issues doesn't mean they are elim or you are village. It can often lead to them being an elim, but as I mentioned before, I'm biased because I know how Illwei talks IRL and it's exactly like how they have been talking to you. This makes me less likely to think that it is alignment indicative. Like I said before, if someone that knows them better in this game contradicts me here, I'll bow to their knowledge... However one person has already said this is normal for Illwei and no one has contradicted them...

The reason I think you're an elim is unrelated. See, elims benifit from making others look like elims, so the fact you have pointed out flaws in what she has said does not inherantly make you village. It's NAI. However the way you say things seems to me to be coming from an elim mindset. The part where you said, "does anyone agree" really got me before I saw Eturnum already pointed it out.

I think the best lynch is one of you two as we will learn a lot from either of your flips, and I think assuming you aren't village you're probably an elim. Assuming Illwei isn't village I think their more likely to be a neutral.

Hopefully it makes more sense this time than last time I gave my explanation.

I still might change my vote, but it's because I see a better target.

I was about to quote this with something like "I sense sarcasm" but I highlight things to quote them like a heathen.

So say I'm a vanilla villager. What is Illwei, then?

I believe they said that they'd think I'm a neutral then.

I mean, who knows, me/connie could be v/v if they flip v. I'm not 100% on connie here but who's ever 100% on their reads

I'm with Eternum on...everything here. Makes me very suspicious of the possibility that Eternum might be village. This post reads very villager-y to me in addition to the mind meld, and I've thought his other posts seemed to come from a village mindset too. Feeling pretty good about Eturnum rn.

Also yes I'm confused.

I'm a little conflicted on Illwei just because this is how they talk irl as well, so I'm struggling to see it as AI, but if I was looking at their posts over the last hour objectively I'd probably want to lynch them. I'll listen to people that have played with them before though.

Connie did a good job pointing out the contradictions in Illwei's posts, which is often an elim sign... Similarly, I think Connie's posts seem to come from an elim-y mindset.

I'd be more willing to lynch Connie, but people are defending both and people are attacking both. This makes me feel like there is actually a reasonable chance this is not a village-village lynch.

If I had to guess, I wouldn't be surprised if Illwei was truthless or a neutral... But I think it's more likely Connie is an elim and either of those things.

Due to that I'm going to vote on Connie. However I'd appreciate a vote count from someone if at all possible. (I'm color blind so figuring out myself is really difficult)

Connie

You wrote my name wrong so I'm just gonna believe you're a liar and trying to pocket me from now on. :P

But in all seriousness, well, great minds think alike? It's just a situation where I genuinely don't get why either of these people want to lynch each-other. Bunch of tunneling going on, not much reasoning (at least on Illwei's part), a lot of defensiveness from Connie..

I'm curious, though. What do you see as a "village" or "elim" mindset? You say Connie finding all the contradictions in Illwei's posts comes from an elim mindset but, well, they're just using logic? I don't get that. Villagers *want* to call out suspicious things, that's the whole point of the game. I don't get why you'd need to, like, point this out? And take it as an example of an elim mindset?

EDIT: Also, thanks Mat :P

Okay, I have been tunnelling. I'll step back for a bit and examine the thread a little more open-mindedly, and if I need to then I'll get off for a while.

Hey hey hey I'd just like to announce to everyone who wants to kill me that remember what happened last game? TJ, tell em.

Yeah yeah yeah now I'm probably off to look at everyone and whatnot. Probably go eat some ice cream too or something.

By the way, in case it hasn't been pointed out already (it may have been, I only skimmed the last page or so 'cause it was all just a back and forth on Illwei vs. Connie):

- Illwei always plays like this, as far as I can tell. I've played two games with her so far, and in both of them she did exactly this, and she was village in both. Also, I thought she was sus in both games, even though (I've said this way too many times before) I was actually an elim in one of them...

- Illwei also died during the first round in MR46, so I'm sort of willing to cut her some slack

- Also because she's doing exactly what she's done in previous games, I'm inclined to read her as village for now. Which makes me read Connie as sus

Edit: Well, I've made TJ's point for him then @Ooklil' the Wei

Oh no no no I was talking about my god tier Elim-finding skills last game :P.

But of course, I would never refer to myself like that :P. Had to try and find someone to do it for me, make me seem...humble

This observation actually made me less suspicious of Connie because I tended to look for contradictions & suspicious details more when I was a villager compared to when I was an elim, since villagers need to generate suspicions using all of the evidence there is, not just find evidence that makes somebody of their choice seem suspicious.

Now that you've summarized the reasons not to vote for Illwei, I can see the point, though I still don't read Connie as elim. Illwei, I guess, though I'll probably vote for one or the other before the cycle ends depending on any new evidence.

I probably shouldn't be spending so much time on this game since I have tons upon tons of physics homework due tomorrow.

Wait... I actually convinced someone of something??? That's probably a bad sign, given what happened in MR46... Oh well, I'll live with the consequences of the actions people take because of me, I guess.

MR 46, did you read the dead doc? :P.

No... I was busy. But if you're an elim, then we certainly don't want your elim-finding skills. They'll lead us wrong. ;)

Oh, right, I switched to follow TJ on reading STINK as village(ish) because I tend to trust more experienced players' reads of people, since I don't have my own

So where was this last game? you seemed very confident, and this goes against how you've been playing this game.

Oh sure yes please let's please ignore the fact that I basically handed over two Elims in LG69 :P.
Uhhh, honestly though, strange way of seeing things.

Gears happens to fall into the category of "more experienced players" relative to me. So I may have, ah, chosen the wrong experienced players to listen to, but that's definitely what I was doing

Edit: you'd think I'd have learned from that...

LG69? I haven't read it, sorry. I started with LG71. *gasp* Betrayal? Or just a really good bad plan to get trusted?
