Have I seen this flower before? Mira wondered, twirling it between her thumb and forefinger. It was odd that she couldn’t bend it. Those cheap plastic ones were always so bendy they snapped. Which meant it probably wasn’t any normal fake flower. But... what to do with it? It seems familiar. Wasn’t it from a book or something? She tried to remember those few books she had read (at the behest of others of course) or the books she’d been told about, wishing for the first time that she actually liked reading. As she thought, she wandered into the bathroom to see if anything in there would help.

The bathroom is perfectly normal: a shower stall, sink, toilet, mirror, towel rack, etc. If there are any Secrets anywhere in your room, it isn't in here.

Mira sighed and left. She threw open her closet and the drawer on her bed stand, checking every corner, still holding the flower in one hand.

The closet has an ironing board and a plethora of regular plastic hangars relaxing by themselves. The drawer is so large you could probably fit in it.

Nothing interesting. She was tempted to curl up in the drawer, though. Maybe it had a false bottom? Or maybe if she pulled it out there would be something hidden behind it? Hoping that she wasn’t about to destroy her own furniture, she pulled.
