Fadran, join us! We'll have lots of fun.

Scarletfox, join us, in the field maybe? You can run up to DQ or something, like this one lady told you to come here on this day at this time however many months ago, and you decided to do it? It can be me, and I knew you guys would need help. Of course, at the time, I thought I would be with you, but you can help them anyway!

No new Epics means that Calamity isn't creating Epics any more, so if you weren't an Epic before he left, you won't be an Epic.(unless we decide upon Spock's idea). Please don't all introduce Epics, I know it's nice to be powerful, but I think we have enough. Maybe one more.

Spock, I don't know. Maybe we can explore it further via quote box and all decide upon it later?

Vapor, thanks, I guess? There just aren't that many Epics around, plus Konna's taken and brainwashed most of them.

Sweetness. I will go ahead and welcome..... drumroll please...

Azeriana! (and I couldn't find many character descriptions here so sorry for some of the lack of details)

Azeriana [uh-z-air-ee-aw-n-uh] walked through the field, approaching a group of figures. She wore a NASA t-shirt with the sleeves ripped off of them, leaving jagged un-hemmed material sticking out. The lack of sleeves revealed good sized biceps and a large, jagged scar on her left elbow that wasn't noticeable unless you looked straight at it. The front of the shirt was tucked into her high-waisted skinny blue jeans. Her orange hair was pulled straight back into a tight pony tali, but there were so many frizzies it was ridiculous. How was she supposed to look intimidating if she couldn't even keep her hair under control? She wore black leather boots that laced up to about half a foot below her knee. There was an AK-47 slung over her back, the black strap putting a bit of pressure on the shirt. This was why Azeriana wore a women's chest guard under her shirt. It was meant for sparring in martial arts, so didn't provide much protection from things like bullets and knives, but was great for keeping the pressure of the strap from being painful, and for hand to hand combat. Of course she had two long daggers strapped to her boots, but she wasn't as skilled with those. Her callused right hand held a pistol, just in case of an ambush.

As she approached the group, she thought back to that strange interaction at The Dead Duckling. She had been enjoying the bar just fine for a few days, but the bar-tender's patience was getting thin, like normal, so she knew she was going to have to move pretty soon. A random lady in a dark cloak walked up to her, and handed her a slip of paper. The paper told Azeriana to be in this field at this exact time, because "help was needed". By the time Azeriana looked up from the note, the lady was gone. At the time, Azeriana had assumed it to be some disgruntled loser wanting a re-match with his friends to help where there were no witnesses. Some people would have simply walked away when they suspected something like this, but never Azeria. She never backed down from a fight.

Every step Azeriana took sent pain screaming through her ankles, but she was ok with that. She had gotten used to it, just as one gets used to a computer background. Ever present, but normal. Azeriana flipped the safety of her gun off as she revealed herself to the group. "I am called Azeria. I was told to come because help was needed?" She was sure the first thing they were going to tell her was to put down her weapons. She was fine with that. It made them more humble when she beat the living heck out of them. That was, of course, if this was a sore-loser of a fighter who wanted his money back.

@DramaQueen And I would summon everyone else, but I don't know the usernames of those others in the field

Vanessa looked over the new person. Her gun was good, and she looked tough. "Yes, help would be great right now!"

Vapor, she's approaching DQ and everyone else, not us.

Fox, if you really want to know, I think Truth is in the field, I don't know if A Windrunner had a character yet, and maybe Hentient's character is in the field if she just inserts herself. That is, if all of them are still interested. Are you guys still interested?

Gotcha. I will now introduce my character, who I have not developed and will make on the spot!

The lights turn off, and a voice starts talking through the radio.

Oh dear; what could be happening here?

One light turns on, casting a circle over what appears to be a curtain.

Prepare yourselves, everyone, because you're about to meet the wonderful, the knowledgable, the all-seeing, the powerful, the ever-present eleventh wonder of the world, who may or may not have just hijacked your radio, ladies and gentlement it is Xoath the Amazing!!!!!!

Xoath steps out from behind a curtain, and the radio plays a prerecorded cheers and applause track. "Hello, hello, everyone! It is I, Xoath, the Amazing!"

He grins at his audience, subconsciously wondering if his bowtie was off-center. He wore a tuxedo with matching trousers, a white shirt underneath that sported his bowtie. He spins his shiny top hat seamlessly across his head, and then, suddenly, a cane slips into his hand, which he leans on. "You know, I was a little doubtful when they told me I'd be joining a group of..." he frowns, "...who are you guys?" A little paranoid, he flicks his wrist, and a pistol appears in his hand.

Not an epic BTW.

It'd probably be best if you were in the field, but since you already decided, it's fine.

Harmony looks at the man confusedly, but maybe that's normal? She wouldn't know, she's been in that cell most of her life.

No, it's all right, there works.

Harmony replied, "You're at the headquarters of Villin and Eivel Corporation for Child Welfare. We're escaping!"

Oh, you still want me here? I wasn’t sure you did.

Quick question, what’s the timeline of this? Like is this an au of the reckoners where epics aren’t known yet, but also aren’t bad? Or is this post- calamity defeat?

Hentient stands on the field. She looks down at herself, uncertain. She’s wearing loose jeans and a black sweatshirt, a messenger bag swung across her shoulder. Inside, lays her plans. Plans for everything, plans for anything. A pistol hides under her sweatshirt, ready to be used. Hentient opens her messenger bag, searching through her messy papers, and pulls out an index card. It’s titled For meeting new people:   She quickly scans the words and stands up, adjusting her glasses.

Hentient walks over to the other people on the field. “He- hello, My names Hentient.” She smiles, somewhat awkwardly. Should I wave? Hug them? The card says shake hands but that feels dumb. Oh, I got it! She raises her hands, but then realizes she about to do finger guns and freezes. Her awkward smile gets even more awkward, if that’s possible, and she lowers her hands. I’m a disaster.

"Oh. Escaping? You mean we need to disappear?" He flicks his hands together, and suddenly he isn't holding a cane or a pistol: instead, he's holding a rifle. "Ladies and gents, we've got an escape sequence on our hands."

This is the other universe where Calamity left early, and this is about 3 years after Calamity arrived. Calamity arrived at the same time in the universes, and so Steelheart happens about 7 years in the future. None of the Epics we know are present, like Steelheart and Firefight.

Epics aren't evil because Calamity left.
