The Bookwyrm he/him Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 .....I mean.....I.....didn't see anything wrong with it....can you....tell me why....it's sacrilege? So I can be informed?
Telrao she/her Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 (edited) *Hisses again* *Chanting* "They ignore sacred history wrote By Tolkien, the Originator. InfiniteInsanity she/her Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Telrao he didn't know any better. Please don't kill him. How about we have some muffins instead?
Telrao she/her Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 (edited) *pauses for a moment* "Fine." *puts bow wherever the heck it came from* *Sits down again* *Violently throws muffins* Edited November 16, 2022 by Telrao
InfiniteInsanity she/her Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 *looks at Telrao thoughtfully* *mutters* I wonder what would happen if I gave you a bunch of tiny doughnuts.
Telrao she/her Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 *Hears Insa with cat hearing* "I would throw them at people and devour the ones I kept gleefully" *satisfyingly opens A guide to Tolkien by David Day* "This... is actually good. I stole it from a book sorting thing on Urban Mission." *laughs gleefully*

InfiniteInsanity she/her Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 ...You stole a book? Successfully? I think I know a few people who might want to take notes from you...

She takes another bite of muffin and settles down onto a beanbag, collecting her copy of The Fellowship of the Ring. "Anyone wanna talk Tolkien?" YES! YESYESYESYESYES! 14 hours ago, The Bookwyrm said: I've only read and seen Fellowship. Nothing past that. I seriously need to work on that. ... You WHAT?!?

I think I know a few people who might want to take notes from you... Technically - my sanity rests on this - technically I didn't steal it. This was a book-sorting centre. People donate books they no longer want, and these people recycle, reuse, or sell them for charities. They did say that we could take some books... and I took two. But I didn't tell anyone. But... y'know... technically not stealing?
InfiniteInsanity she/her Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Well if they told you that you could take some then it isn't stealing at all. They gave them to you.
Telrao she/her Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Hum, true. But we were meant to write on a little sheet the books we took, and we were meant to show them the books so they could decide whether or not they wanted to keep them or sell them so....
InfiniteInsanity she/her Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Still. I wouldn't count it as stealing. They said you could take them. This will seem really random to y'all but... If you had wings like some people think angels do and someone were to rip them off, how much pain do you think you would be in?
Telrao she/her Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Oh, a LOT. The massive scale of these wings would require several major arteries to keep them functional. In that fact, you would lose an extreme amount of blood, while also being in excruciating pain. It would be like ripping both your arms off simultaneously.
InfiniteInsanity she/her Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Oh. Yeah I guess that's true. Whelp. There's another character that I've severely traumatized. Fun!
InfiniteInsanity she/her Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Yeah. It's a lot of fun. Let's see in this story alone, one character is an assassin assigned to kill her own best friends (and possibly some of her family I haven't decided yet), one is one of the aforementioned best friends and is very close to being stabbed, then there is the wings person, there is a guy who witnesses the angel wings things. Other characters have had their entire military units die except for them, held hostage by their own parents, and taken away from parents at a young age and growing up on their own. Traumatizing characters is way too fun.

Telrao she/her Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Ooof - is that why Wizard's an immortal tiger boi now? And like, in my stories, I generally avoid trauma - but I might have something in mind for traumatizing Telrao in my short story series. Maybe. Then I'd have to put a content warning, and those are annoying.
The Wandering Wizard he/him Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 1 minute ago, Telrao said: Ooof - is that why Wizard's an immortal tiger boi now? In a nutshell, yes.
InfiniteInsanity she/her Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 I've found that if there isn't at least a little trauma then the story flops.
Telrao she/her Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 True... we only have to look at Brando Sando's books to see what real trauma is like
InfiniteInsanity she/her Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Yes. Yes. His books have some real trauma in them as far as I've read. It's kind of shocking sometimes.
S. Stormy she/her Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 (edited) We aren't really on the topic of swearing or muffins anymore, but I have a topic to Uɴɪᴛᴇ ᴛʜᴇᴍ.
