FIFTEEN- no, I read the Societal Dysphoria one. I plan on reading the rest another time as my anti-lgbtq+ parent(one of two) is home.

The ones I know are platonic, alterous, romantic, sexual, aesthetic, and sensual. There are probably more.

Platonic: I want to be friends with you

Alterous: I want to be friends with you or date you? Either is cool?

Romantic: I want to date you

Sexual: I want to sleep with you

Aesthetic: Wow that's pretty

Sensual: I want to hug you

As I said, there are almost certainly more!

Personally as an ace I Do Not Understand sexual attraction. Whenever my friends start talking about it I just sit there going "?!! What?!!!". My family automatically assumes anyone who doesn't want to sleep with people is a nun, which is wrong on so many levels. So that's fun

@Ruku Welcome to the Shard, fellow questioning trans person!!!!! Good luck figuring out your gender!!! (That is not supposed to sound sarcastic; I'm just terrible at tone)

As an aro i dont understand romantic love (ish)

And i dont like to talk about the waking nightmares that keep me asleep at night

I'm used to it. They don't know I'm how I am, but I know this since my elder sis is Bi.

Hey, so actually I had been questioning whether I was Trans, femboy, or a demigirl, and now I'm leaning more towards Trans, so I'm here testing She/They pronouns to see if it actually fits me. I do think I am actually Trans and plan to talk to my therapist about it. Quietly, however, as my parents are anti.

It's funny, like 30 pages ago, I just kinda showed up, questioned my gender, and became a part of this place. My queer awakening was less than 2 years ago. I have to give this thread some credit for helping me out on my journey (even if an IRL friend I had arguably helped the most)

The reason I'm one of the go-to experts for all this queer stuff isn't because I'm super experienced with all of it. It's because I'm a massive nerd, and queer stuff is just one of my special interests (In hindsight, maybe it should have ticked me off that I, a 'totally cis guy' had a special interest in queer stuff).

But I'm actually super happy to be a part of this, and every time I help someone, weather it's helping someone discover their identity, or just clearing up confusion over a specific term, I feel real good.

So if y'all think I'm that important... maybe I shouldn't argue.

1984 might be the straightest book I've read
I did not expect this

Half the book is about how much Winston hates women and the other half is about how  much Winston lusts after women
What

Yeah but Winston isn't supposed to be a "good person," he's just the protagonist

(I've never actually read the book, but I know a lot about it.)
