Yep, that can happen, although as I understand not for everyone maybe? And of course it is different due to differences in the body.
-
Basically, an AMAB body, (at least by default) produces minor amounts of estrogen and large amounts of testosterone, and can sense how many hormones it has in its body. If it detects a hormone deficiency, it will make more testosterone to counteract this. So taking estrogen will make the body make less testosterone to an extent, because it sees that your body already has hormones, and so won't make as much. One's body makes hormones their whole life, though it increases a lot during puberty. Spiro is still taken, because testosterone is a more powerful hormone than estrogen, and does tend to override its effects if not suppressed. However, if estrogen levels are high enough, or surgery has been done to remove testes, the body won't be producing testosterone, and spiro is unnecessary. (In the case of the latter, it's important that the person who went through surgery constantly take hormones of some form, as after this the body won't produce them naturally.)

Do I make it another Cosmere reference? I don't really engage with that on this forum anymore, but I am still a fan, and that is what this place is about...
Not sure what I'd do either way.

U could try to combine them that’s kinda what mine is it’s a combo of personal stuff and the cosmere

Well, me and my girlfriend flirted a little before we made things official. She initiated it, but it was stuff like calling each other cute and using cute emotions like :3, >~<, and ^w^. After that, it wasn't really surprising when I learned of her crush on me.

Really it's just up to the people how they describe their relationship, though I'll admit I've never encountered an enby in a relationship who called it a straight relationship.

How do you imagine your fellow Sharders?

Heh, I mean I love the look on pretty much any gal, I'd probably be no exception. But I tend to prefer a more fem look, though what exactly that means to me can vary. -

Haha, yeah no. I could probably pull off the look though. Closer, I suppose. Height is about average, I typically wear darker colors, though not always, no earrings, hair is brown but curly, no glasses, and eyes are green. wat?- 1974 replies

Ah Pride Month, and with it the return of the rainbow site banner!

Just saw the movie a few days ago, didn't really like it. I did like the more scientific experimental parts though, and I'm told that the book has more of that. Unfortunately, I'm not really the type to consume the original media after viewing an adaptation (I did not know it was a book first when I watched it.)

I'm curious about this. How do y'all imagine me. -
Well, for her now and me 2 years ago (well okay, actually there was no pronoun field on the Shard 2 years ago, there was a gender field instead but same general idea), it was one of the first steps we took after we realized we were trans. I don't want to put words in her mouth, but for me, it was me saying publicly for the first time "I am a girl," even if it was only on this little forum. Although for me, while changing that was exciting, getting actually referred to with feminine pronouns is what really made me happy, but again, I'm just one trans girl among millions, I can't speak for all of us.
-
"I wish I was a girl, too bad I'm not" is a phrase I said to myself once lol. Not really sure what to say which the others haven't. Honestly, I'm not great at emotional support compared to the rest of this thread (huge props to y'all btw), but know that I'm super happy for you, and you've been doing a great job getting this all out. I tend to excel more in my expertise with trans stuff compared to general emotional stuff though, so I think I can help with gender stuff and other related stuff.
-
A little tricky at first, but once everyone started calling me it, I got used to it.
-
Ah, Whitepine, I love that. Hello, new person. I once posted a similar post in this thread, and everyone here helped me so much, so of course we'd all be happy to do the same. Taking this step is brave, so good job in that. Would you like to tell us more about this or ask us any questions?

I mean, I could also summon my girlfriend, though she's not really on here anymore. @certifiedcranedriver
-
Ah I see people are yapping about their girlfriends, so might as well mention that I still also have girlfren and she's very peak.
-
Ah, perhaps you could come out while with this guy nearby, so he could give moral support
-
just tell them, if they're trans they'll be great about it. A few days after my egg cracked, I came out to an enby in my school, and it went great.
-
You could try talking to him about how you feel; I find honest conversation to be a good with situations.
-
Pride flags fulfill that role for me in a sense, and I don't think that's corny at all.
