... Well they seem nice but they're really hard to read without paragraph breaks

wait I thought gen alpha started 2010? Well, any gen alpha who's a fan of the Cosmere is going to be a little saner than the rest

Short explanation: It's the drugs that let trans people change their bodies to be more like their preferred gender, for example giving trans women breasts or trans men a deeper voice. Long explanation: Uhh I don't have time for this, I can give one later, or someone can quote my old posts about it.

Looking back on epigraphs

Mmkay, but I think if you look at my writing here compared to the stuff I wrote at writing camp, the latter is better. (I wrote this stuff first) Still, I'll admit this is some of my finer work, as I had large issues with prose that aren't so much of an issue when I'm writing in-universe documentation. Maybe that's why I like the SCP foundation so much that... that's just a novella. -
Looking back on epigraphs

Sanderson was my main inspiration for this setting, as this was recently after I started reading his stuff. So uh the magic system... I never actually came up with concrete laws. But it revolves around gemstones and heat. Different gemstones have different abilities and stuff, the main two showing up in the novellas I wrote were A: Creating an inter-dimensional gateway to a hellish world of incomprehensible beings (various diamonds) and B: Controlling/being controlled by said incomprehensible beings (amethyst). And then they can also store information, and the Syndicate has pretty much supercomputers and magitech stuff going on. Okay, with how much I'm writing on this, I'm gonna go write a full blog post on the setting tomorrow. -

Tess this is like so mid what are you talking about. Like I'm not saying it's bad but like I wouldn't consider this good by any metric. -

Anything specific you wanna know more about? (If you like, I could just make a new blog post detailing the setting this all was for.) -
About two years ago, I wrote one novella and four short stories in a setting of my own creation. I've looked down on it as weaker writing, but now that I'm looking back, I think there are things worth salvaging. My short story collection especially, as I wrote it later. One of the things I did was add little "Syndicate logs", information from a mysterious organization from space throughout the collection, to shed light on their motives and plans. I'll put them below. Without context of the setting, they won't be completely understandable, but I thought I'd put them down here. They're similar to the epigraphs throughout The Stormlight Archive. The writing is mid of course, but I'm kind of in love with the last one. The idea of having all these cold clinical logs, and then just having one that's created by an inexperienced newbie to show the human element seems quite fun. As such, I hope to do something similar. In fact, I'm thinking my next large project will be a collection of interconnected short stories, with something like thing (but better) in the background. Something like Isaac Asimov's I Robot or Robot Dreams. Let me know if y'all have any thoughts.

I desire the details.

Well is it accurate?

So, there are a lot of things I have to say, but so many have already been said, or will be said. So I'm going to share one of my especially controversial viewpoints. A common argument I see is that religious beliefs are fine, so long as people don't try to force them on others. (I'm going to use not being gay as my example, feel free to replace it with anything in your mind) So like it's fine for a person to believe they shouldn't be gay, but not for them to try and force other people not to be gay. However, there's a few issues with this in my opinion. First, what constitutes forcing beliefs on others? Religion is often passed down in families, and the children will typically end up taking on their parents religion. It's not because they looked at all the options and chose what worked for them best, it's because this is what their parents said. And then my even more radical opinion: Even keeping one's beliefs to oneself is harmful. For example, if someone is attracted to their own gender, but choosing not to act on these desires, I think they're harming themselves. They're depriving themself of joy for (in my opinion) no reason. This is pretty barebones, but it's late and I'm tired, y'all can ask for any more insights or clarification if you wish.

(Why are you confusing us with this username change lol.) (Edit: Oh wait that's a lot of you. Is this another Ookla month situation?) Honestly love to hear it. It should in fact, make no sense, as I often question how younger me didn't realize I was a girl.
-
It makes sense. Us trans people are gonna present as hard as we can as we preferred gender, to a degree higher than one can do in person. Course if you knew I existed on this forum before March 16th 2024 maybe that'd be different Everyone's dissing their deadname, honestly mine isn't bad outside of being my deadname, but it annoys me how common it is, so I feel a little pain even when it's used to refer to someone else. In fact, often whenever I know someone's deadname, I feel weird about using it for anyone. Like the name is 'poisoned' for me.

This won't be perfection I have for long, but this is peak username+rank To maintain this, please never give rep to any more of my posts Edit: not sure what I expected

Yeah I might share my name here some day but I'd wait until I'm like 19 first.
-
I mean but like if all goes according to plan won't that eventually be your legal name? I mean, some people here have shared their name, but I don't think it not being your legal name should be the only reason to share it. Nice name, though.

Something something why does this have six likes? (been a while since I complained about low effort posting of mine being highly repped.)

Don’t Let Her In (extremely mid horror short story)

This was also something I made at that writing camp, this one had a bit more work put into it, but I don't like it as much because the gayness isn't the focus of the story, and the poor writing I feel like is more noticable. I also accidentally stole House of Leaves's colored text gimmick without knowing about it. (Also copy+paste is weird, the colored text is supposed to also be bold, but for some reason the entire document is bold. Ah well. -
"Obvious truths" (Toxic yuri short story)

I wasn't intending on sequels (especially since I wrote this like 9 months ago) but I could totally write new toxic yuri with similar vibes. First though, I'm gonna upload a bunch of writing that I've already done to this blog. (which could take a lil while) -

This was a thing I wrote last year at a writing camp. We were given a prompt to show a reversal of who typically has power in a situation. It's pretty mid, but I like it still. -
Heh, dirty-minded teenage males simply cannot compare to filthy minded teenage trans lesbians.
-
Says the asexual Yeah arguing is kinda pointless when I just have to hype myself up and can't actually say anything.

heh, suppose it's weird to the outside observer, huh. Well, perhaps it's the deviance of it I like. That I look at societal norms and shun them. That most "normal" people would be appalled. That despite being so innocuous, I could shock a lot of people. And I've got a bit of a competitive spirit, I'll admit. Like I know a lot of people who are much worse than average. So to also be worse than even them is extremely satisfying, as though I've "won". Though, I'm curious what someone worse would even be thinking about...
