Don't be so harsh on yourself, you're doing great. Use criticism as a chance to improve. I feel like even as these blog posts come out you're getting better and better

>Is called May 1 >Looks inside > 2026/03/13 anyway cool we get two posts of this. May seems interesting, despite seeing almost nothing of her. If I'm not mistaken, this is our first "prose" story in this verse, rather than with a framing device, and I think it's also good. Kinda looks like the message came from "Lily" when that's actually just the author, but that might just be me. Anyway, I like this whole story, I'm excited to see where it goes.

Yooo I got a cameo lets go Anyway I quite like the stories here. You're genuinely good at this. Only criticism I'd make is that Nothing is Ever Okay feels a bit too... infodumpy i'd say. It could sound more human I think. Also, it's supposedly all "letter.txt" however .txt files cannot contain italic text. Solution would be to either remove italics or rename it letter.html. (I recommend the former, would make it feel more minimalist, which it feels like it's kinda going for.)

Typically, an ARG is like some sort of online puzzle I guess, like with hidden secrets and a mystery that needs to be put together. They often have their own website, but not always. -

If that's what you feel like than go for it. Your Wax and Wayne analogy actually works quite well, I do like it when narratives are interspersed with in-universe stuff like that to give more context. Still not sure how the manga would work like that, but I'm sure you could figure something out. ARG stuff is cool when done well, but it is so rare that it's done well. -

Being good at short-form stuff doesn't mean you're a bad writer. Being able to tell a story in so few words is actually difficult in my opinion. I'd say having issues with long-form writing is more of an endurance thing, it's difficult to keep writing good for so long. -

Nah, let it be revealed when you want to. Sounds cool, although I don't think you would be able to deliver the plot purely through in-universe media like forum posts and stuff like the current stories you have are. Also, I know this wasn't your intention, but I find it funny that immediately after coming back from your ban, you write a story about evil malicious forum staff lol. Oh and I do think it would be cool to see more of the forum users we've already seen, but it's up to you if you wanna reuse these characters -

Corporate horror is honestly one of the more disturbing genres of horror for me because it feels more "real", more "possible". In my piece, it was never supposed to be too realistic, just creepy, but yours is more relevant it feels like, which adds another layer of horror. Anyway, sure, although my next project probably won't be, I'll probably make more of it eventually since it's so well received. -

don't feel bad about it, not everything I write is great either. And like I said, I like it more for the fact that it's right before "Concealed Content" It'd be fun, for sure. (The shorter pieces idea I mean. Though if you wanna make it longer than sure) Alright lemme see I think "Unappealable" lacks from the fact that there's not much disturbing in there besides the ending lines. I might have included the content that the user was banned for, and made it something innocuous, or otherwise made the beginning and middle more creepy. (Though I do like how ridiculously long the ToS are) "Concealed Content" gives hints to a wider universe, which I quite like. There are many different ways to take this, depending on what you feel like, and how optimistic you want to make it. (for example, we seem to have this resistance group, who you could give victories or have fail, depending on how edgy you wanna make the story) I was a bit confused as what the 9-digit usernames mean, as they're too short to be phone numbers, so I didn't know what 'code' they were alluding to. -

I wasn't initially super impressed with the first one of those (the TOS thing), but upon reading the forum one I liked it as a background piece or an opening scene for the more developed story. Honestly would like to see more in this canon, if you feel like you should write more. Edit: Have followed this micro-fiction blog, seems like it'll be fun -

Seems nice, although while I like writing short, I could never imagine writing that short lol. -

That's so real, it's quite fun I think For some reason I really like "corporate" and "cold" documentation and stuff. Though adding human elements is just as fun sometimes. In fact, I just had a cool idea... but i'll explore it more later -

This is all part of my recent obsession with telling stories through in-universe material. I might write something like this full-length some day -

Taking a little break from stuff I wrote in the past, this is something I wrote with my writing club just yesterday. The premise is that everyone starts a story, then passes it along to the next person after 5 minutes, until it goes back around to the original person. This is the cool wacky formatted story that I started. Note that only the underlined text was written by me, and a \ symbol indicates a change in writer. Also the line spacing is weird, idk why. Corporate horror wasn't my original intention, but I love where this was taken. Reminds me of some SCP Foundation writing.

Oh hey I just realized I never actually commented on this situation Unfortunately, the only way someone's ever revealed a crush on me was with an elaborate puzzle, and neither of us was moving away, so I don't have much experience there. Hmm... Honestly, I'd probably try just ripping off the bandaid Like just straight up text them "Hey I have something to tell you" and then "I've had a crush on you for a while" (or whatever you wanna say.) I wouldn't be so up-front normally, but since they're leaving... ??? Excuse me???
-
Ah yeah that is good. Honestly idk what would be the best to say, it'd probably be best if you could ask someone who's taken this kind of examination before.
-
Damn they never asked me this much. Guess it's a different kinda clinic.

Well, I don't know exactly what the place you live is like, but unlike your parents, I suspect "trans people on the internet" would work fine. As for the latter idk only you can answer that

When I was in a very Brandon Sanderson phase of my life, I created a nameless setting that I wrote a few works in. Originally, it would have spanned the whole universe, but the only two things I wrote were on the same planet, Flers. (From a comment on another blog post) Anyway, I'll just dump setting information, and mention what I like at the end. So, initially, humanity is just on the planet Flers, on an island continent in the south. A group who has basically monopolized the magic system is taking over, and plans a grand ritual thing that will genocide everyone not a part of them. However, a man named Xeflerx sabotages the ritual, causing it instead to teleport them all away to a safe place instead. He ends up on a new continent to the north, where he founds the kingdom of Xefleara. This ends up sending a large number of the refugees to other habitable planets as well, as the spell would "take them to a safe place" without distance necessarily being a factor. A group of these refugees create "The Syndicate of the Great Gem", a space-faring organization that takes over a large number of planets, and have very advanced magitech stuff. They are led by the "Supreme General", a man who has had his lifespan increased thanks to implants of gemstone, and he aims for the "Great Gem", a gemstone that will supposedly grant greater power than all others. (This gemstone, as it turns out, is citrine, and it's power is to control other gemstones) Meanwhile in Xefleara, over a thousand years later, a couple create a gateway to another dimension of beings that consume heat, and the husband ends up mind-controlled by them, who use him to take over the kingdom. These beings, known as the wraiths, prefer consuming the heat of humans, and so institute a system where criminals are thrown to them. They are unable to leave a certain radius most of the time, because sunlight and moonlight destroys them if they go too far away from their portal. At the end of my novella, one of the protagonists manages to take control of the wraiths from the king, and begins planning to take back the kingdom. Anyway I like the Syndicate. I didn't talk much about them, but they have some cool aesthetics, and I like looking at the humans in super huge powerful organizations.

Background post cause why not I guess My mother is Christian, while my father was raised Jewish, but is atheist himself. (Because of this, our family celebrates twice the holidays. Pretty nice actually.) My mother isn't super into Christianity, but my paternal grandparents are still very religious. I (for whatever reason), went to a Jewish preschool, and they would sometimes tell the story of Passover. I didn't think much of it at the time. It wasn't until I was actually celebrating Passover at my grandparents that I really thought about it (I was probably like 5-7). That was when I was like "Wait... do they actually believe this? Why?" In my mind, it simply did not conform with rational logic. I knew that magic wasn't real, I knew about the concept of gods as a trope. (I had previously learned about the myth of Hades and Persephone, but had assumed that things like that wouldn't be believed anymore, because of scientific knowledge we know now.) So why did they believe that the river could turn to blood, or that a burning bush would speak, or that the Red Sea could part? I simply couldn't comprehend that. I then assumed, for a little while, that religious belief was a fringe, but still existing phenomenon. After all, my grandparents were old, and I hadn't heard anyone outside of my preschool or my grandparents believing these stories. I, at the time, did not know Easter and Christmas were religious holidays. Eventually though, I found that while my grandparents were more religious than the average person, a huge majority of people were religious. It was then, or perhaps earlier that I learned about the term "atheist" and applied it to myself. I was never particularly 'hostile' to religion, even if I did look down on it a little, I figured it wasn't hurting anyone. I'm not sure how I managed to dodge the knowledge of the existence of the Crusades or anything for so long, but when I was around 11-13, I learned that many Christians were homophobic. Homophobia was something I was wondering about. Previously, I assumed that people just didn't know about/understand the concept of gay people, and that was why they did things like use "gay" as an insult. Still, I was wondering, so I did a Google search. And I was surprised to see that Christianity seemed to be the number one thing mentioned. (It was later I would learn the same was true for the other Abrahamic religions) And then that kinda got me down a whole rabbit hole, and I developed an antitheist attitude from learning about so many issues with religion all at the same time. And uh yeah there's the story. I surprisingly don't have any religious trauma, but I know some people who do. Any questions?
