I am 90% sure I am trans, but nobody listens. For some reason they all assume I'm Bi and Nonbinary.

I kinda just accidentally came out to my father and it was........... interesting

I have supportive parents but they just don't get it sometimes

I came out as demi a bit ago and the response was 'isn't that everyone'

I wonder if the following explanation would help:

"Most people might look at an attractive or nice person that they don't know or only know a little and feel romantically attracted toward them, like a crush or something. A demiromantic person does not, only feeling romantically attracted to people they are especially close with"

 

Of course, I'm not demi myself, nor do I really know a huge amount about it, so if I got anything wrong please let me know.

Also it turns out I've been ever so naive

So many words, phrases, and my friends being odd in my life turn out to be sexually charged and it completely went over my head.

Oddly specific thing to assume. Like I cannot fathom why anyone would assume that of you, especially if you're telling people you're transfem.

I am a proud Aro, and the worst part about it is phone numbers

i have a friend (who is a girl) and i want their phone number to text

however, if i do it wrong, it can be seen romantically

which I, obviously, dont want.

so whenever I want to text a friend, i have to spend days stressing over the exact way to do it

also i hate the word girlfriend because sometimes it is important to show wether or not your friend is a girl, but you cant say a girl [space] friend, because people only hear girl[no space]friend, and so you have to say friend who is a girl which is really weird and people still read into it

I just say "friend" and let them make up their own implications of the word

I think you might be overthinking this. If you're already friends, I don't think it would be weird to ask for her number/give her your number. Like, I wouldn't feel weird about asking for the number of another lesbian just as friends.
