It betrays an ignorance of the ancient laws. If you say that I have held back the truth then what have you taught him? The reassurance of an unbreakable divine bond is more than I would give most." Rish turns to Jefferey. "Your daughter will be unreachable with me." "Well of course he doesn't know your laws," said the Fallen King. "But like he said, your cohort aren't the only ones writing the laws. You severely underestimate the power and understanding of the mimes."

Law of Infinity and such. Is that really the point?" Prime snaps his fingers and the throne room disappears. In the darkness, he snaps again, and a tiny light, unimaginably bright appears in his hand. "This is the Big Bang of this Universe. I trapped it within a single moment here, so it can never progress. All the power of an entire universe lies between my fingers. If I allowed it to proceed on it's natural course, only I know how it would end up. Similarly, Vapor's mind and skills have immense power. The actual amount or nature of that power doesn't matter. What does matter is that allowing her to progress naturally is the only way we'll find out how her universe will end up. I can show her one possible timeline that she might experience or one thousand, and it may turn out that none of them are correct. It may turn out all of us are wrong."

"My realm of expertise is not in mindscapes. I know of their immense power, but I would be unable to teach you beyond the very basics. I know the allure of power and knowledge, and also believe it to be good to grow in those." "While I would encourage you to find a teacher in your abilities, I don't believe Rish is the one you want to follow. I've only heard of her vaguely and through rumor before now, but it's obvious she has a purpose behind finding you. As for whoever released this scourge upon the multiverse, I think they can be adequately punished without your help, although of course, I know very little about any of that situation." "So far, I've told you what I don't know. What I am sure of, is that you are going to become powerful. There is a timeline where what Rish says comes true: you become a goddess. There are many more, however, where reaching for the heavens only leads to falling further than you could have thought possible. My past is no mystery: I rose to godhood as a mortal, and at the time, I was considered unique. It was a one in seemingly infinite convergence of chance, knowledge, good timing, and my own skill. I cannot promise that your transition would go the same. Perhaps, if I am to give you a specific encouragement, it is to continue as you are for now, and when you are ready to reach your potential, seize it with both hands."
Vapor she/her Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Vapor nodded. "Rish, what do you say?"

Not to mention Yami, his master, acting like this was all some sort of a game, the idiot. And so he had simply halted time and space: as the protector of the heir of Ark, that was easy on these hallowed grounds.
