Feature Implementation

  1. 1. At the moment districts are mostly flavor; they don’t change anything about your gameplay. Do you want to implement a system where tributes get bonuses on rolls for actions relating to their district?

    • I would want to do that
    • I would not want to do that

Quille heard Wind's plea, but they didn't seem like they were in too much trouble yet. She figured she'd save her sponsorship for saving someone's life. Might as well make her gifts really count. She'd keep an eye on this group, though. They intrigued her, the way they trusted so soon.

I just found a list a while back and tagged all the sponsors on it.

"We could make a fire."

Eric tossed his pit away. "We could just sit here and wait for people to need something from here."

"Or we could build a barricade?"

What do you mean?

"Yeah, that's a good idea." Eric looked up. "What's that sound?"

Experience sees a movement of some bushes and stops walking, brandishing his long knife. "Who's there?" he calls out, ready to fight.

Now only a few meters apart from Experience, I make three broken steps toward him stepping forward with my right foot and following with my left. This brings me out of the vegetation and into his sight. Now just out of measure, I take a full step forward, making a fast but light rotational cut at the right side of the other man's head and coming up in a high guard, the tip of the sword pointing down and to my left. Anticipating a fearsome riposte, I tense myself to jump back.

I'm not entirely sure how parrying works in this combat system and if anyone knows then I'd love it if they could fill me in. But assuming this attack is allowed to be parried you are free to attempt to party it after a GM rolls success and damage.

@Doomstick @Blessing of Potency (I think? If not, sorry.)

The Zwerchhau can easily be lethal if done completely in measure but things being what they are, this is what I would call a not immediately lethal attack on average.

17, two damage

if the attack is below 15, the defender can parry by having one of us rolling a d20, if the roll is higher, the parry is successful

Does this mean I can or can't parry? Actually, I'll try, but it might not do anything.

Experience sees someone step out of the bushes and swing a sword at him. Experience reflexively ducks, trying to dodge to strike. After the swung, he steps in close so that he could have more advantage with his knife and quickly stabbed at his opponents sword hand.

Also. Finally some violence! This is the most peaceful hunger games ever! :P

crit, 2 damage (as a knife deals less damage than a sword)

The knife connects, but doesn't seem to do much. Experience turns around and starts running away from his attacker into the forest.

Hand still smarting and bleeding a little I lunge after Experience in a flechette, driving the sword with all my weight and momentum from the leap into his upper back (assuming it hits and he's not wearing armor). I land on my side hard, knocking the wind from myself. I struggle to stand up and get back into a guard.

@Doomstick

Exerience feels the sword of his attacker connect, and falls to the ground connecting(I'm gonna assume that did some damage at least.) He gets up quickly, realizing that he can't run from the fight. His opponent is on the ground so Experience jumps on top of them, his side throbbing, and stabs at the back of their neck aiming for the spine.

I mean, until we have confirmation there is a possibility that I completely missed and just fell onto the ground right next to you without causing you any trouble

As Experience stabs at my neck I do my best to roll out of the way of the attack and get on my feet presenting my sword in his direction, keeping him back (assuming I'm not already dead).
