Yo! I'm checkin' back in to see how things are going, and I'm also thinking of rejoining. So, anything big happened since I was gone?

Let's see, I think it was a bit after the prom/dance stuff?

Spoiler

Oh, that was quite a while ago. So, I think that was before the wedding, in which case there was a wedding, Voidbringers attacked, a few Oaths were said, a Voidbringer was captured, next day there was school (did we have cheesecake in the end?) and we had a cool teacher for a while, there was a cat, she's going to be called Ene iirc, it was discovered that there was a house full of Voidbringers nearby, which led to another fight because those apparently are daily now, cool teleportation home in the middle of a conversation with new members, an interrogation with the Voidbringer transpired, there's a discussion now about whether or not he should be set free, and that I'd like to believe is the gist of it, though I likely missed some stuff.

Cassie had been instable ever since Joy died...

You're not wrong. Cassie's an unstable mess. She didn't disagree with Shana though ^_^

Everyone is out here writing awesome posts!

"I gave him my word that he can leave, and so he will. Unharmed, without a ransom." She knew that her posture was nothing but a challenge, the stormlight seemed to live under her fingertips urging her to use it, to inhale and then do the only thing everybody trusted her to do. Fight. Kill. Destroy. Leave nothing but a burnt patch of earth behind. She stared at the three of them daring them to break her word, her promise, to show their distrust in something more than words, than discussion. See if they were willing to fight her. Because she would.

If they didn't care, if they didn't trust her - then they were exactly what she assured the Voidbringer that they weren't. They were everything she thought she saw in their enemies. Because sometimes, sometimes you needed to trust. You could question, you could ask for reasons, but there was a time and a place for everything. And that time wasn't now, not when the Voidbringer was unbound, standing on the lawn already. It was too late for that, capturing him again would mean another fight. One they started. This was the moment they needed to trust her, just as she trusted them. But they didn't. They discussed. They undermined her words by their very actions and it hurt, hurt so much to see that their enemy had been right all along. Maybe they were the evil ones. They had been attacked, but if they behaved like this - she could see it, easily see so many Radiants go on a quest to hunt down Voidbringers. And because she could see it, because her friends were doing it, were considering it, she knew it was true.

It was about the way as much as it was about the goal. It was about why you lifted a weapon. There had to be reason. There had to be. She looked at them, felt as if her picture of their house, of their friendship shattered and broke apart, the pieces slicing open her heart and soul. She had considered them peaceful, unless attacked. Defending. Caring about live, able to respect others even if they were different. These were the things she was fighting for. To be accepted. To create a place where everybody could be who they were, no matter their investiture, no matter their personal opinions. A place where verybody coexisted peacefully, accepting and respecting those that didn't fit what was considered normal. Because none of them did. To change what was normal. To make it normal to be different, to remove all these labels and just be equal

James hung his head in shame. He couldn't tell exactly what Shana was feeling, but her look and her words had struck him to the core. Lights, I messed up, didn't I? He thought. Shana's not in a place where she needs someone to criticize her decisions, she needs someone to stand by her. James took a deep breath and walked to stand besides Shana. "All right." he said, "If you gave him your word, I at least, will trust your judgement."

Wait a moment... what are we doing now? I'm very bad at reading a lot of long posts in English and after my comeback this was what I needed to do, so I don't understand what actually happened. :unsure:

Is Dustbringer still being reserved for Po? I remember that was a while ago so I don't know if it's still in place.

Shana is letting the Voidbringer hostage go, and people don't agree with her but are letting her do so anyway (at least James is). Shana is unhappy that people don't think her decision is a good one.

I'd be willing to make an exception to the two sets of Radiants rule if you wanted to bring back Flid, since he was an existing character, assuming nobody else is strongly opposed.

I probably won't post yet, you guys can go on - Cassie doesn't have any objections to letting him go.

Also, welcome back Po :D

Oh, I don't really plan on bringing him back, looking back I don't really like how I played him/the character I made him into

I mean, it wouldn't be the first time. Aren't there like three Willshapers right now?

My apologies for the double post, but it’s been almost a week, so let’s go. Hopefully Rob doesn’t angst over this.

Cassie said quietly, “I’m with you,” to Shana and James, not speaking loud enough for Rob to hear. She didn’t want the argument to start up again.

I'd hoped Xino would chime in...

=========

Slightly godmoddy of your character here, but we can't go on without you leaving or regularly interacting with our characters, as this is a situation where we can't close our eyes and pretend your not there/ just following along, sorry. I can edit if you prefer it any other way, but as your last posts were about exactly that topic, I just went along.

============

Grateful Shana found herself relaxing when they agreed, the discussion stopped for now. She closed her eyes, suppressed a sigh and watch the Voidbringer edge carefully along and leave the lawn. He seemed to expect an attack and she would lie to say, that she wasn't tempted, that she wasn't itching to go and run after him, but in the end she stayed where she was, lowered her weapon. She had given him her word, and she would stick with it. The moment he as an individual lifted his weapon against them she would personally use hers to cut him apart.

With a frown she turned away when he was gone, back to her friends. Rob seemed - aggitated behind his stoic mask, the way he had turned, how he had stopped speaking with that sorry of his. Something was wrong with him, and she had no idea why. They needed to talk, and soon. Hopefully he would accept her offer and talk to her as well. But for now, for now she needed to talk to them all, explain what the Voidbringer had told her. It was more important, maybe it would let them see the reason behind her decision. And if not - no it would. They would understand.

"Let's head back inside?" she asked suddenly feeling tired. It had been a long day, another long day. Somehow she was stuck in long days on way or the other.

Would it be too continuity-breaking to have Ben materialize on the couch?

I don’t think that would break anything, Luna!
