Then, some wisps of black mist began to gather nearby, slowly forming into the familiar figure of a tall man holding a massive sword stabbed point down in front of him. The mist began to compact, slowly becoming thicker and darker, until it snapped into Rick. Rick looked around, stopping when he saw loc.

"Aha! I've finally got you. Now, I have a question for you."

Ioc felt the foreign presence in his mind. It could sense the probe easily. Other men had bodies to worry about.

Ioc had dwelt as a mind for centuries before having a body.

Ioc shrugged, then focused on one object, as was the common defense against probes. Think unwaiveringly about one thing, and the probe wouldn't go far. The image Ioc chose was of a checkered tabletop supporting a fallen carton of milk, with white, thick liquid seeping out and dripping over the sides.

Ioc used this image to shield its entire consciousness.

Most men, in order for the defense to work, couldn't think about anything else. Ioc was a mind stronger than theirs.

Perhaps stronger than Solace's.

Ioc felt at the probe, examining it, and, depending on the strength, piercing it and invading Solace's mind.

Then, Ioc waivered as the newcomer condensed into being.

Ioc let out a defiant yell, then teleported again, appearing onto a small rise in the landscape nearby.

"Aha! I've finally got you," the newcomer said to Ioc. "Now, I have a question for you,"

Ioc grunted, turning to face Solace. "Ask away, just don't distract me. If you touch me, I'll eat you,"

As Ioc waivered Solace forced his way passed Ioc’s mental shield. It was as easy as persuading a newcomer to a spiked cookie. The part that irked Solace was that he was sure that Ioc wasn’t using copper to block his Epic abilities. This man needed to be put down like a rabid animal. He mentally kept an eye on the newcomer Rick.

. "Aha! I've finally got you," the newcomer said to Ioc as he confronted the two of them. "Now, I have a question for you,"

"Ask away, just don't distract me. If you touch me, I'll eat you," Ioc replied to Rick.

Solace mentally teleported right behind Ioc poked him in the back of the head and vanished again. He appeared on top of the crumpled station.

“I’d like to see you try and eat me.” He said in jest. Solace then turned his attention to Rick. “You have walked into private affairs. Leave now or perish.”

He opened a telepathic link with Ioc for a moment. All agreed that we take out this idiot of a trespasser and conclude our business?

Rick looked at Solace with a suffering expression on his face.

"Boss, do you know how long I've been waiting to ask this question?" he pulled out a piece of paper and tossed it a Solace. "Count the lines. Each one represents a day." He turned back towards loc "So, are you aware thay you're insane? If so, what does it feel like? You see, I'm trying to figure out if I'm insane..." Rick scratched his head. "No, wait, I am insane, the sword just said. Well I guess that answers my question. I guess I'll stay and watch."

I ain't gonna be here tomorrow, so don't count on it

Ioc shrugged at Solace. Well, I am a little intrigued by his question, Ioc thought through the mind link thing.

"It's a fair question," Ioc said. "I am aware that I am completely crazy. However, this acknowledgment makes certain that I am not, in fact, insane. so the answer to your question is both yes and no,"

Ioc nodded; that was that. Then, it narrowed its eyes at Solace, connecting some dots.

Solace had first probed Ioc's mind, then created a link between their brains.

Solace had brought down an entire orbital station and crumpled it into a little ball.

The fight hadn't even begun yet.

Was this the chance Ioc had been waiting for?

Ioc closed its eyes for a brief second, searching within itself for the option, the locked cabinet in its mind.

The cabinet was unlocked and opened a crack.

Ioc opened it's mind and smiled.

Then, in a puff of beige, Ioc transformed. its skin turned a hard, carapace-like substance, colored beige. It's fingers folded into its hand, then it's wrist folded into its forearm. It's foot bent upwards into its shin. It's arms and legs flattened off, creating club-like limbs. These were not sufficient to support itself, so Ioc hovered an inch in the air. It's eye sockets popped out and it's nose scrunched in, to create a single smooth surface for a face.

Spikes began growing along it's back and arms and Ioc began to grow, lengthening its own body to create an eight-foot-tall giant, with arms that went down to its knees.

This was Ioc's second form; it's second most powerful. Ioc could only enter it when facing an incredibly powerful opponent.

And the fight hadn't even started yet.

Ioc snarled, then tapped a stump-like foot into the ground, sending out a burst of Stormlight.

The entire ground, a quarter mile in every direction, lost every bit of friction.

Ioc grew an ax out of Amberite carapace from its arm and floated towards Solace.

Sehptis raised an eyebrow at Ioc. The slippery ground didn't affect him at all as he hovered a mere Yoctometer off the ground. The ground itself began to crack as if an earthquake were happening. Though it was not so, it was, however telekinetic pressure radiating off of Sephtis. He concentrated a large portion of the pressure at Ioc. At the same time he telekinetically enhanced the following: strength, agility, speed, reflexes, endurance, durability, senses, stamina, and his own Epic immunity psionic healing. Additionally he began to predict all attacks and movements of Ioc through the established link. He also put mental inhibitors on Ioc, which would drain Ioc's power faster than normal, more so if he used them more.

Boulders cracked from the pressure floated around him in addition to the sharp metal, of which he hurled three pointed pieces at Ioc, as well as two boulders.

You might want to change that from a Plank length to something like a few millimeter. A Planck length wouldn't make a difference regarding friction, given that it's about twenty orders of magnitude smaller than a proton. As far as the physics regarding friction is concerned you'd still be touching the ground.

Also, I've already found a way to get rid of it, KoTiel just needs to finish up the final parts of the research and then execute it.

That might still cause friction, but my physics isn't good enough for me to know for sure, so it works for me.

...Look, atoms are on the nanometer scale, which is 10^-10 of a meter. Yoctometers are 10^ -24 of a meter. That's one hundred trillion times smaller than an atom.

Wow. No one cares less about oceans in the middle of deserts, but when it comes to physics....it's rather funny.

I wonder. If this is rise of villainy, could I post Hellbent scenes here? They are character development, but open to character intervention.

Ioc was hit by the surge of pressure and immediately teleported.

It reappeared to the side of Solace, growling.

The ground cracked, and Ioc felt a... draining.

Darn, Ioc thought, unintentionally sending its thoughts through the mind link.

Then, hundreds of shards of earth and a couple boulders shot towards Ioc.

It tapped Mental Speed, then coaxed it's Amberite to creating huge arm shields. Ioc used these to bat away the shards, then teleported out of the way of the boulder.

Darn. Ioc hadn't even laid a hit yet. Ioc was powerful, but Solace was...

Ioc reached for investiture reserves and found them almost empty.

Darn!

Darn... maybe?

Was Solace powerful enough to... perhaps... upgrade Ioc a notch further?

Surely not.

Ioc tapped a foot to the ground and Adhesed it's stump-leg to a large chunk of earth, then teleported away, leaving behind a crater-like hole where Ioc pulled the ground with it into the Cognitive Realm. Ioc's plan, which was being unwittingly broadcast to Solace, was to reappear in the Physical Realm in the right position to place the hunk of earth inside Solace's body.

defy physics.

Sephtis allowed the chunk of rock to puncture his chest, pulling out the little rocks that broke off inside.

"That hurts you know." Sehptis said as his body healed.

He grabbed onto Ioc's face and connected his elbow with Ioc's face superhumanly fast.

With wound inducement he began to break off portions of Amberite from Ioc's body.

Me and physic don't agree. It's why I float. I am just glad I haven't been to the moon quite yet. :P

I wonder, when hellbent becomes the ultimate villain, will all others put aside their grievances to fight him?

Ioc twisted and lurched to a stop as an elbow connected with its face. In a flash, it's Amberite disintegrated.

Desperately, Ioc Adheased the elbow to its forehead, then sent out a burst of Division into Solace's body.

Its Stormlight ran out, but not before Ioc's attack was complete.
