Summer= Burning to death while re-re-re-re reading WoK, cause no other non-Brandon library books compare, speaking of which, I am SO fed up with annoying fantasy books, do any of you have suggestions of good books?  (Besides Brandon's)

This question gets asked a lot.

Does deevy count? It doesn't seem to have been an actual word before Oathbringer.

This question has set up camp and begun roasting marshmallows and now refuses to leave my brain:

What color is a mirror?

It's silver, because the reflective part of a mirror is silver or aluminum. The glass is clear.

However, according to the Internet, apparently mirrors are slightly tinted green.

This reminds me of a folktale: There was once a miser who at a certain point in time had been desperately poor. He went to the chief religious authority of his town and asked that he should pray for god to alleviate his poverty. The authority agreed and a short time later this man's fortune began to turn. He became tremendously wealthy though unfortunately at the same time he became most stingy with his money. There came a time when the communal coffers were empty. Everyone who came to his home was turned away empty handed. Finally, the community turned to the religious authority whom this man had gone to for help. He knocked on the door and surprisingly was shown into the house. They went to the man's parlor and he asked what brought the leader here. Instead of answering he lead the man to a mirror and asked him what he saw. He replied that he saw himself. He then led him to a window and asked him again what he saw. The man replied that he saw people going about their business. The authority asked why is there a difference between the window and the mirror after all both are made of glass. The man replied that the mirror was coated with silver which made it reflective while the mirror was not and was therefore clear. The authority said the same is true of you. When you were ungilded you saw other people like the window. Now when you are gilded you are no better than than that mirror. You see only yourself. Perhaps you would be better served if you are returned to your original state. The man breaks down and admits that he has been blinded by his wealth. He swears to change his ways if he is left as he is. He gives a massive sum to the religious authority and from that day on he looked beyond himself when others were in need.
