Tevarah looked up hearing what Syen had to say then he smiled. "Yes, we would love your help and that's a great idea about the illusion, the stormlight you ask for can be acquired with little cumbrance. As for your safety I would assign three of my personal guard to escort you, if that's ok? Their names are Mio, Casner and Zidren. Also if it's to much to ask then dont worry about it, but could you compose a message to the villagers? Tell them there is safety and good food here and that we will help them get to a safe place.

However long ago it was when I last commented.

Yzabet slashed Jael through the monster's neck - most of the Shardplate had been destroyed by the exploding gun - and Azrael's eyes burned. I will remember you, even if you were a foe. Yzabet promptly fled the city, skating to the nearest wall. Behind her, the city began to fall into ruins as the DA release their monsters.

Mace jogged down a gravel path. The mid-day sun shone down on him as he traveled. He checked over his shoulder to make sure no one was following him. In the distance he could see the Canton of Combat building he'd just crawled out the window of.

This is taking too long. I've got monsters to slay. He picked up the pace. He wished he'd remembered to bring a Tia card, but a quick check of his pockets confirmed that he was out of them. At least he still had that metalmind he'd gotten in the Canton. Tapping wakefulness was the only thing keeping him going at the moment.

At this rate, I should be back in the middle of the city in a matter of hours.

Cue the road trip music for the travelling montage...

Kane Superlashed himself to the side, avoiding a knife in his back from a Sentry. He grabbed it and Soulcast it into smoke. He gritted his teeth. He was running low on Stormlight. He opened a hidden compartment in his coat and drank in more. He grew two Amberite Machetes, wary. Where was Mace? He ascended quickly and started Lashing himself over the streets, searching for the man so that he could receive orders on what to do next.

The storm is here. Investiture should be better, and stormlight constantly renewed so... i think...

Soul darted in towards the bird’s neck started slicing feathers and bits of skin off of it. Finding a small spike he grabbed it and ripped it out, lashing himself away.

”Ack...Cough......got one. Only a lot more to go. On a giant bird that’s trying to kill everyone. And is on fire. And can heal. Storms, this is going to kill me.”

You choose which one I grabbed @Voidus

The wind blew against Ida's body, as if wanting to her to go back. The icy raindrops fell upon her like jagged pieces of dry ice. She was close, and getting closer. With the Stormlight renewed, it was much easier gliding against the ground. "Stephen, how long do you think until we get there?" Ida said in an emotionless voice. "Hmmmm.... Maybe... 30 minutes? I'm not for sure, it's hard to tell with this storm."

"Yo ugly birb! Should we kill you? I think we should!" Bloodbath hollered. He jumped off of a wall and somehow landed on the Phoenix, then removed a spike.

Which one?

"I can't write."
Syen blurted out, then immediatly added.
"What I mean is, I can't compose a message, because I can't write it down,"
embarressed she felt her cheeks turn red.
"And thank you for the guards, that's more than I ever would have dared to ask for. I just wanted you to know what I can do and what I can't, so that you can plan and"
She stopped herself the moment she realised she was rambling.
"Thank you, that's what I wanted to say."
Suppressing a sigh she looked down at Essun. Her spren just sat there, content that she had gotten her to talk to someone. With the result, that she felt like she was really making a fool out of herself right now. Gathering her courage she answered his smile with one of her own.
"I could go, brief a messenger what to say to them? Or is there anything else that needs to be prepared? I'm not sure how much time we have left. The situation in the city was pretty dire when I decided to come back here."

Her beak drew over the creature in a blur of motion, the two halves snapping closed, but it had managed to dodge to one side at the last minute, avoiding being swallowed into her fiery gullet. Then, to layer indignity on top of insult the human landed on her back, began rifling through her feathers.

What is it doing? This is not how it should fight!

She felt something lodged in her body shift as the human grabbed it and felt a cold shiver down her otherwise burning hot body. She could feel a piece of herself in that spike, and then she felt that piece get ripped out of her body as the human flew away with its stolen place.

She hovered in place for a moment, unable to believe what had just happened, but this opening had allowed yet another human to land on her back and pulling a second piece of her free.

A single heartbeat of pure silence before she opened her maw again and let out a another tremendous screech, the air shimmered from the heat of it as for the second time that night the city shook under the weight of her fury.

She pushed some light into the one still crawling on her back, increasing the strength of his pull towards the ground 30 fold and then tilted her body upwards, letting him slide off of her. She soared skyward, letting the wounds where the spikes had been close shut.

The storm buffeted her body as she flew, trying to force her along a path of its choosing. A low growl emitted from her as she steeled herself. Increasing her on weight to make herself more stable she moved through the storm, witnessing the chaos within. Fragments of building and broken boulders were picked up and carried through the air, a few smashed into her body, breaking bones a tearing flesh. But she healed herself faster than they could rip into her.

As a particularly large boulder slammed into her left wing joint she realized something, a wicked grin spreading across her face. This storm was not an enemy. It was an ally.

She hovered within, struggling to maintain a stationary position in the midst of the storm, and burned. She ignited flying pieces of wood and superheated boulders, she lashed anything that touched her back down towards the city. Where didn't matter, only that it might crush those who had dared bring harm to her.

The center of the storm began to glow a dark orange as hundreds of flaming stones fell from within, slamming into the city and wreaking chaos wherever they fell.

@ShardBreaker, I'm temporarily playing as this until the timeskip:

Titan

Appearance: Like the Kolossal Commander, but pitch black, golden swirling patterns like singers, with a purple aura and glowing red eyes. It has six arms, and is 35 feet tall

Hemalurgic Abilities: Strength (10x), weight reduction, F-gold, A-gold, A-pewter (2x), F-pewter, F-zinc, A-zinc, F-steel, A-steel, F-Iron, Division Surge (5x),  Shardaxe bond (x6), intelligence (x3), can create a dimensional warp, connecting alleys (allows teleportation in Alleyverse), can blast extreme cold or heat from mouth.

Other notes: A research project abandoned by the DA because it was growing too powerful, it was based off of the Kolossal Commander, made to be the third level. They realized it was growing to powerful, and stopped, having made only one prototype. It has all the abilities of a Kolossal Commander, and more. It leads all of the abominations. It rides a chasmfiend.

Titan fell as a huge flaming piece of wood hit him in the chest. He healed quickly though. I need to prove I want to help. This is perfect. He used his division surge, which was much more powerful then regular surgebinders. He turned walls to dust, creating holes. If the building were small enough he just destroyed it all. He blasted his heat breath at a stone one, melting it to lava. Then he froze it. He left a trail of destruction, but for a good cause. His horde followed him. He ordered some to search buildings before he destroyed them. Any humans or hemalurgic spikes he found, they took with them. They would prove they wanted to survive. And they wanted to help. I'm sorry, brothers, but I will need the spike to help my people become creatures, not demons. And you no longer need the spikes. He found a group of hiding people. They screamed, but he grabbed them. He burst into a run, going as fast as possible. One had breaths, he told them to detect people. There were no more, just bodies. Lots of bodies.  He took them all to the edge of the city, and hid them in a cave. Then he created a warp into the city, only taking the one with breaths. He would find the innocents. And he would protect them.

Kane flew over the Phoenix and started Soulcasting stone blocks out of the air and Lashing them at the Phoenix. He burned Electrum and saw three paths to follow. He chose one, not thinking about it, only thinking about how many new paths were open. More paths was good. It meant he wasn't being forced to anything. The fewer paths there were, the sooner he needed to open more. He continued following paths until he at last stopped burning it. He was on the ground, stone walls around him, with a plasma rifle in hand. He pointed it at the Phoenix and fired.

So someone (not sure who it was, I was quick scanning at that point) had an idea to somehow project their voice. Who was that, and did they do it?

Rashan wanted to project his voice for his speech, and asked for help how.

Devaan (Nohadon) gave him an Aonic card that enhanced him in all ways immensely, including increasing their voice by a ton.

Li TaiRu (Arlin) assisted by ‘sparking’ every ruby in the Alleyverse, sort of turning them into temporary radios for Rashan to talk through.

Kane (Bit) also gave him a determination bracer, but that didn’t increase sound.

Hope this helps :)

This is what Sparking is

Tiiyu my Seon sphere (basically a talking ruby broam) Is able “spark” other Ruby spheres into what amounts to walkie-talkies as long as Tiiyu is part of the conversation and they have stormlight in them

Sparked spheres light looks like a more eclectic plasma lamp that acts up with any speakers voice

"Ok, it's fine really, I can do it I just have to find time..." Tevarah looked to the maps, all the paperwork stacked up. "Storms I need an assistant. Anyway I will have a servant fetch your me, they can get the stormlight you need, also keep me informed on how the illusion works thank you." Then Tevarah gave the order to begin the march again.

Titan had found all the survivors he could. He had left over fifty trails of melted stone and wood turned to dust. And random alleywarps to boot. Now he would help fight the fat-bird-on-fire. He climbed the tower by turning small handholds to dust. He reached the top just in time to watch the chasmfiend that he had let run off earlier jump at the big-bird-with-small-spikes. It took a bite out of the wing, grabbing a spike. He watched it fall to the ground. He heard the splat. Poor thing. Well, at least it got a spike. Then he jumped onto the back of its neck. He looked at bloodbath. "Oi! Grab more spikes you useless lump!" He then reached in and shifted through the feathers. He hung on tight, then pulled out a spike.

@Voidus, two more spikes. Which did I get?

After an upbeat travel montage...

Mace arrived near the middle of the AlleyVillage. Overhead, the phoenix majestically danced in the air. That thing just made number three on Mace's List of Things to Avoid. Right after dying and an angry Voidus, he thought to himself.

As he trudged through a derelict alleyway, he scanned the shadows for enemies. There doesn't appear to be anyone around. It's probably safe to store some luck in my metalmind.

Seconds later, a hoard of angry villagers rounded the corner. The comically muscular man leading the mob leveled his pitchfork at Mace. "GET HIM!" he shouted. The crowd surged forward, brandishing their torches menacingly.

The phoenix just became number four. Mace spun around, tripped, and found himself lying face-down on the cobblestones. He looked back the way he'd came. Some sort of metal hedgehog was standing there. It bristled its spikes aggressively. Make that number five.

As the mob closed in on him, he shut his eyes in acceptance of the inevitable. [INSERT CLICHÉ FLASHBACK/SELF REFLECTION HERE]

Then he heard it. Nearby, the sound of a storm. Not just any storm... AN ALLEYSTORM! Mace jumped to his feet in joy. The angry villagers didn't matter. The walking pincushion didn't matter. He was saved! The Alleystorm blasted by, encompassing the area. Mace stretched out his arms to receive the power of the...

Nothing happened. Due to the shape of the surrounding buildings, prevailing wind currents, and an inconvenient butterfly, the storm split around him. A tiny pocket of storm-free air opened up, centered around Mace.

An angry villager rammed him with a pitchfork. Twice. Then someone else burned him with their torch. Ouch. Maybe the porcupine will distract them. As if on cue, one of the villagers let out a cry. "LOOK! One of the missing creatures!" En masse, the crowd ran toward the creature, stampeding over Mace as they went. As he was crushed by dozens of steel-toed boots, Mace tapped his stores of health and wished he was dead. The crowd arrived at the monster and began to pet it.

I hate storing luck. Mace stopped storing and pulled his chronium metalmind off of his finger. He popped it in his mouth and burned it.

At that very moment, he noticed Kane running along a nearby roof. With a Push, Mace flew up beside him and matched his pace, running alongside him. As he ran, he felt the full force of the storm encompass him, strengthening him, empowering him, feeding him. "This. Is. AWESOME!" he shouted.

Syen left the tent and looked around. The first thing she noticed was the storm moving over the city. She thought she could feel his power even up here and it was exhilarating, enticing. It didn't take long and a man handed her a bag full of spheres, all glowing with stormlight. With a short thank you she turned around and went to her horse. She needed to get a better view if she was to attempt anything usefull.

The three men Tevarah had assigned to her followed her and after a short silent debate she turned around and shot them a quick smile.

"Thank you. And I really hope you won't have to do anything."

One of them saluted and Syen only smiled a bit longer, although more strained, giving up on words. She didn't know what to say. Shards they expected to die for her. That was wrong.

She breathed in the stormlight, added it to the reserve she hadn't used so far. It felt good, great, unbeatable. Her tired head stopped hurting, her vision felt clearer. And there was more, much more. A smile formed on her lips, a real smile. She could really help here.

She rode to the first unit and the moment she arrived there someone came, asking what she needed while shooting a nervous glance at the three men behind her. Having some of Tevarah's guards around definitly paid off. She asked him to put his men into the order they would march, then pulled out a sphere. She closed her eyes envisioning what she wanted to do. Colour them differently, make them more harmless. That was hard. If she chose something similar to the tentakled Black Crousade they would be attacked by their allies. Refugees didn't work because they would never move in a formation. And she couldn't change each person here, that was far beyond her abilities. So in the end she simply changed the colours of those in front and on the sides, dampened their sounds, covered the gleam of their weapons a bit. Their faces she left as they were, nobody would look at a single body, it was the general impression that she wanted to change. She planed to create one illusion for the unit, one bigger one, instead of dozen smaller ones. If they couldn't keep their formation it would be useless, but it was the only way she felt she had a chance to give all of them a bit of protection. Otherwise she would need a day or two. Hopefully that would make them harder to discover, and in the end that was everything she hoped for. Exhaling she bound the illusion to herself and more importantly to the sphere. She would feed it, but the sphere would determine it's location.  In the end she asked the officers to keep an eye open for the refugees and moved on.

It was easier the second time, because she already knew what to do and what she wanted. Exhaling again she created a seconed illusion and then a third, a fourth. Her hand closed around a new bag of spheres several times and she inhaled again, before weaving the next strands thogether. It took her a while, but she was finished by the time the order to march was given.

Her head throbbed and she needed a lot of stormlight to maintain what she had created, but to her it seemed like it worked. At least until they entered the city. But down there was a blazing chaos and it wasn't like she could make an army completely invisible. And looking a bit less threatening could at least help.

When she returned to Tevarah she felt light headed, exhausted. The illusions a constant strain she wasn't used too. And even with enough stormlight they captured a part of her mind, just to keep them in order to sustain them.

"I'm done."

She reported.

"If you want to change something I can do that. I bound them to spheres so that they would move with your men, und instead of me."

Distracted she inhaled more stormlight. And looked critically at his soldiers. At her work.

"I'll stay closed by so that I can change something if you want me too."

Yzabwt, from her position on the battlements on the wall, breathed in pure Stormlight. She collected every single gem she could and watched as Stormlight sparked to life in them. This would last her long enough to either buy her way back to Roshar, or to kill half of the city.

Yzabet had filled a backpack full of gems (a bank disassociated with the Bank of Crysts had been full of Rosharan spheres) her aluminum bag (normal gems from a TUBA runner) and a few pieces of jewelry and ornate dinnerware (from a half-burned mansion).

"Goodnight, Alleys. Goodnight, Worldspire. Goodnight, everyone. There is a life to live. All of the innocents have fled, and now we are just getting ourselves killed. TUBA cannot win this fight while they don't use Hemalurgy, but the DA has no right to take powers from people. I'll go. I don't like watching the looking side. But...."  I will remember those who have been forgotten. I will listen to those who have been ignored. I will speak for them who have no voices. Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination.

"I will watch you fall, and I will weep." Yzabet said quietly, and turned back. This was the time to say goodbye.

@Ark1002 I'm gonna have to veto a chasmfiend getting anything, it's in the middle of a storm hundreds of feet in the air and hurling comets in every direction, a chasmfiend isn't going to get close without being incinerated, shredded by the storm or pummeled to the ground.
The other one would have been a speed spike.

I do also recommend anyone who doesn't want to die avoid angering the strategic-class city obliterating Phoenix. It's around to kill anyone who wants to go out in a blaze of glory but chances of defeating it are pretty slim-none.
