The Phoenix lifted one bleary eyelid up, a dim light began filtering in. It could see the dark interior of the cave it nested in, bones litering the floor underneath it. It could see a small flicker of lightning from outside. But that was not what had awoken it.

Something outside, something in the strange place where the ground rose up into strange, angular shapes and humans walked in inconceivable numbers. It could sense creatures there, creatures that were strange but also kindred in some way, they were weaker than her, but still kindred. Kindred that served the same master the Phoenix did.

Standing up, it briefly stuck its beak into the fiery red feathers near its wing joint, cleaning them before it began shuffling towards the entrance to its cave. Some of the brittle bones cracking beneath its feet. It made itself lighter, pushing the weight from itself into one of the pieces of metal embedded in its flesh, and its movement became silent.

Peering outside it could see huge numbers of humans and other creatures, both inside the city and outside of it. Some humans were fighting the creatures, others were fighting other humans. But humans never did anything that made sense, even the ones who had created the Phoenix were incomprehensible. Maybe even more so than the rest.

The Phoenix saw one particularly tall section of the city, it almost seemed like a mountain but the edges were too sheer, its shape too narrow and square. Skyscraper she'd heard it called, though she flew far higher than it and even she hadn't scraped the sky yet. But the skyscraper seemed to be a center of activity, she could feel a few of her kindred gathering there, chasing something.

Prey.

She decided that it would be better to see it up close, but felt a conflict arise. Her creators had told her she should defend the city if it was under attack, but they'd also said they would call for her and they hadn't yet. But she was also hungry, and they'd told her she could eat. She was sure to find plenty of food at the skyscraper.

Making her mind up, she shuffled noislessly back into the cave, reaching a small, dark, shiny rock in one corner and breathed in deeply, letting the black light from the rock flow into her, giving her life, energy, driving her to act.

The Phoenix snapped her eyes back open again, trotted back towards the entrance to her cave and rushed out, unfurling her wings. She glided out and circled back around the mountain, moving towards the peak she dove down and gripped the mountain solidly with her talons. With one solid beat of her wings, she tore a chunk of the mountain free, clutching it within her claws. She used some of the dark light, making the piece of mountain lighter for the moment, but when the time came, she would make sure it was even heavier that it was before.

With a cruel smile, the Phoenix glided towards the skyscraper, she shook her head in glee, gave a high pitched cry to the heavens and let the light inside her burst out. Every feather in her 100 foot wingspan burst alight in bright, orange flames.

So if Soul got stabbed, and he burned aluminum, it would take some time and perhaps a lot of aluminum but the part of the blade that’s inside him would be burned away?

As he ran, he called for Mace. He needed his help.

@Archer

I'll come to you. Probably easier that way.

Mace was bored. He'd spent the last hour experimenting with his powers. So far he'd been able to make Solace shout at him, and an iron pot fall off a table. The two actions may have been connected, given that he hit Solace on the toe when he did it.

He looked over at the other TUBA members in the room. They appeared to be locked in an intense discussion. Maybe it's time I stretched my legs. If they need me, they know how to contact me.

With that thought, Mace slipped out the front door of the lair. He kicked a bit of Shoggoth as he walked past it. In the distance, he heard TUBA soldiers fighting something metallic. I should be there, with my men. They need me. He was about to run to them, but a shadow that passed over him made him pause. He looked up and saw a large phoenix passing overhead. A quick detour couldn't hurt, he thought. He compounded speed, and raced ahead of it. It was headed for a skyscraper, so he decided to head it off. With a series of Pushes, he made his way to the top.

"Uhhhhh..." he tried to think of something clever to say when he arrived, but he couldn't think of anything.

"How's it going?" He looked at the two men in front of him. "There's a rather scary looking bird on its way here, so we'll need to make this quick." He paused to collect himself. "So, what are you doing?"

Summary Update:

DEVAAN killed HELLBENT, but injured his leg in the process. DEVAAN has also gathered the civilians in the CANTON OF COMBAT. NAERMAN has joined the fight, attacking a TUBA SOLDIER.
CAER touched the WORLDSPIKE, giving him a glimpse of the future. He has taken it upon himself to unite the guilds, lest they all be destroyed. Elsewhere, the CAGES were opened, releasing a hoard of DARK ALLEY ABOMINATIONS. The WORLDSPIKE was locked down as a result, becoming inaccessible. One monster to watch out for is THE PHOENIX, a big bird with fire stuff going on. Bigger than the Harry Potter one, but smaller than the one that hangs out with Jean Grey.

ARE WE ALL GOING TO DIE? Find out now as the SEVEN DAY WAR continues!

Frond was fast, she ran behind Kane, and stabbed him in the back with a knife. "You won't defeat me. I've trained my whole life for a war like this." She smiled, and kicked the body of a sentinel.

Kane wrenched the knife from his back and sucked in Stormlight to heal the wound. He had grabbed new weaponry before leaving the TUBA Base and shot Frond with a pistol.

Accidently did F steel, instead of A steel.

The bullet hit Frond in the leg. She hadn't been prepared. In return she pushed the gun out of Kane's hand, and then pulled it to her. She shot Kane in the chest three times.

Luckily, Kane had been wearing his Sentinel Coat.

The bullets knocked him back, but he was fine. He threw a knife at Frond.

Nice coat, I liked the other one better though.

Frond laughed, and she pushed the knife away. She pulled sand out of a pocket by her waist. "I have the spike of a powerful masterell.Try and defeat me." Ribbons of sand flew out, pushing her into the air. She then blasted one at Kane, puncturing his coat. Again and Again. She then used another ribbon to grab his neck and push him to the wall. She grinned as he struggled, choking against the wall.

Kane slipped out of the choker ribbon, but as he dropped to the ground, his entire left arm was sheared off by the sand as he slipped through. He screamed in pain, and grasped at his belt for something, anything to slow the blood flow.

He grabbed a disc of metal and pushed it into the wound to slow the blood flow. His Stormlight repaired the wound, but stopped healing it when it closed over. Kane gasped. The disc was ALUMINUM. He fell to the ground, gasping in pain and shock. Frond walked away, laughing and kicking Sentinel corpses. Kane sighed.

And then he saw something. The building was collapsing-- it was going to kill Frond!

In a moment of inspiration, Kane quietly spoke.

"I will protect those I hate, even if they would not protect me."

"Look out!" Kane called.

Frond dashed out of the way, and turned to Kane with a quizzical look on her face as the building collapsed. Kane slowly rose into the air. He burst alight, Stormlight billowing off in a cloud. A Shardblade appeared in his hand.

"With the Third Oath of the Windrunners comes a Shardblade." Quin, his spren, whispered. "Or in your case, a Shardarm."

The Blade disappeared and reappeared in the form of an arm. An arm made of the stuff of Shardblades. It was the same length and build as his previous arm, but two differences prevailed:

One, it was glowing with Stormlight.

Two, it was made of Shardmetal.

Kane drew forth Determination, and shot forward with one arm made of Shardmetal, and the other cocooned in Amberite. He leapt into the air and brought his fists down on Frond's head.

Frond smashed into the ground. The hit had taken a lot out of her. She felt the world spin. I'm going to black out. I did not expect that... her last act before passing out was to use her ribbons to cut up Kane all over his face. That will leave some scars. Then the world went black.

The last of Kane's Stormlight healed the cuts. I won't give her that satisfaction.

Kane recovered his pistol and carried Frond to a safe spot. Then he started hunting more Abominations.

“Making a speech to unite the Alleyverse. And buy some time for others.” Caer looked towards the Phoenix, slowly but inevitably moving forward.

“Yeah, you’re right.” He said, collecting his things and preparing his voice, enhancing with the Aon Devaan had given him, as well as being carried through the Alleyverse via sparked rubies, so all could hear.

Then, he started.

Arlin and i have discussed how Li TaiRu could spark some rubies for Rashan.

Li TaiRu has mostly been running the triage unit and reserve troops this entire time.

Li TaiRu looked over a fallen solider. “He needs Surges!” Their medical stores were running low. Soon they’d  have to rely purely on Aon Eda, to keep troops on the field.

“Li TaiRu I’m going to need you to do something” Tiiyu said, speaking in Rashan’s voice. “I understand” Li TaiRu said nodding.

“Tiiyu Spark, everyone.”

”I already did that”

”not the Ghostbloods everyone”

So you mean...”

“Yes.”

”...Ok, Sparking now.”

If the Alleystorm dosn’t happen soon Tiiyu will go dun

Bloodbath decided that he thought infants tasted good. The end, at least for them. Good thing was, they were just small pieces of Shoggoth. Bloodbath was, quite frankly, absolutely storming insane.

It rides a chasmfiend.

His minions are these:

Titan, a powerful hemalurgic obamantation joined the fray. Around him swarmed Kolossals, Kolossal Commanders, and Sentries. He was a god among mortals, he glowed purple, and his eyes flashed red. The light glinted of his gold patterns, on black skin. He was anger unchained. He rode a demon of the chasms. No one could defeat him.

@Archer, you said you wanted to die? Care to fight? @Mirv? You're bloodbath and all, want to fight someone more on your level?

I mean, I have a new character ready, so why the heck not.

Bloodbath charged towards the weird looking thing with six arms. He felt sad, because he only had two arms. It was all okay, though. Soon, the Titan would have zero arms and zero legs, and zero heads, and zero being alive, and zero spikes. Also, zero anything, because Bloodbath was hungry.

Titan saw the strange red-blue singer thing charge toward him. He summoned all four axes, and waited as the creature fought through his horde. when it got about halfway, he commanded them to stop. He jumped off the chasmfiend. The moment he was on the ground, the chasmfiend ran away, straight toward a building with a strange fire-bird swooping toward it. Whatever, I've got 17 more in reserve. He smiled eerily at the creature facing him.

@Mraize. The storm summoning needs to happen soon. If you do not reply in around 15 hours, I may have to continue without you. With the permission of the other mods, one of us may godmod Solace. Just a warning. We need to continue our section.

"Black is a color? Wrong. You will still be living after this encounter? Wrong. I will not have fun ripping you to shreds and giving you to the Bloodbath? Wrong!" Bloodbath cried with a maniacal glee, extending his Shardclaws to nearly a foot each, and dislocating his jaw for bigger bites. "What's red and smells like blue paint?" Bloodbath mocked, yet before anyone could answer, he screeched, "RED PAINT!" and with that commond, the field(?) was flooded with hundreds of gallons of the stuff.
