Mace acknowledged Kane, but kept running. Kane began to do the same beside him, giving them the chance to talk. "Hey, Kane! Do you know of any good hiding spots I could hang out at for a few days? I'm worried some people might try to avenge the rock's death."

[Life&Death]

Rashan stood outside. Looking at the rock’s killer. 

“No one throws root beer at me.” Soul muttered. Dashing outside of the bar he kicked Rashan in the ribs with a stormlight enhanced kick. As he did this, a small earring flew out of his pocket and landed in the entrance.

Suddenly, Kane, after days of trying, broke through and replaced Shelan. He kept all of the memories (though he had lost his abilities as a Mistborn) and thus knew exactly what was going on.

Mace was oblivious to any swapping of personas. He just wanted directions to a good safehouse. "Where are we going?" he called to his companion as the man he knew as Kane suddenly turned to the left to run down a thin alleyway.

Rashan had been so distracted by Voidus' death he'd forgotten his plan with dealing with Soul, and so the stormlight enhanced kick had been unexpected. Rashan wasn't in the mood for playing games anymore. Taking one of the spikes Vodius had died with, Rashan stabbed Soul in the back of his thigh, before taking taking the spike out and stabbing Soul again, and again.

Rashan knew Soul would heal, as he hadn't given him a fatal wound. All he had done was incapacitate him with a spike which lay in his pocket. Seeing an earring lying on the floor, Rashan pocketed that too. As he head Soul groan in pain, Rashan stabbed him again in the arm for good measure.

The thing was, on any other day, Rashan would be different. But when you kick Rashan Caer on the same day five people try to kill him at once, on the same day his mentor dies, on the same day he. assassinates, your bound to get a different result, a different Rashan.

Rashan re-entered the bar, cracking his knuckles.

Elkanah saw the two slipping away. Ramp he thinks to evelyn, and she forms a ramp right in front of his foot, and he slides on to the side of the roof, switching from slick to stick, increasing friction, and climbs up the side of the building. Keeping back but not too far. They felt like the people he hqd been waiting for.

Once they were in a concealed Alleyway, Kane pulled out an emergency Tia card, his only one. It had just enough Investiture for two teleports. Kane told Mace the location. Mace tapped it and disappeared. Kane tapped it. The card, the only trace of where they went, fluttered to the ground.

At the house, Mace turned to his travelling buddy. "Thanks for the lift Kane! I appreciate it. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to burn my clothes and comb through my hair. You should do the same, it will hopefully get rid of any tracking devices anyone tagged us with." He then tried to figure out how to get his bulky armour off without strangling himself accidentally. Armour is like sandpaper, he thought. Hard to make good analogies with. Spying a forge outside the house, he chucked his gun on the fire to turn it into molten slag. No sense keeping the evidence lying around.

"Mace, you could store strength so you would be small enough to slip out of the armor."

Suddenly, a JinDo man stepped into the room. "Ah, hello Kane. How long will you be staying?"

"A short while." Kane replied. He knew Sudo kept a strong face on, but the man was grieving since the death of his wife.

"Mace, Sudo. Sudo, Mace. Mace is my friend, Sudo is my brother-in-law and my mentor in ChayShan."

The alleyway where the two had gone in to was empty. Could they have elsecalled away? There was a card on the ground. He studied it, nimbleform letting him notice all the tiny details. Evelyn was thrumming to the Rythym of Curiosity, the same Rythym he had unconsciously attuned. It seemed to want something, but that was stupid, cards couldn't want. He held it in his hand as he walked back. He'd need to replace the gems in his hair, many of them were dun.

Mace gave up and tore the armour apart with a burst of strength. He was just going to melt it down anyway.

"Thank you for your hospitality, Sudo," Mace said with a bow. "I have long been an admirer of the elegance of ChayShan. It is an honor to meet a master of it."

Mace's eye flicked around the room. The house wasn't very defensible, but it would do. His eyes lingered on decorative scroll on the wall, he thought he recognized the symbol, but he couldn't remember where from. No matter. If Kane thought this place was safe, he would trust that his host knew how to keep them safe.

As spikes entered Souls body he felt his spriit energy being ripped apart over and over again, until one he was bonded to stabbed him. Connection filled his mind and The bloodthirsty was left. Groaning he stood up and lashed himself into the distance. This would take a while to recover.

Used it for rebuilding the Alleyvillage after it got destroyed. The rock replied. The other me said it was best if I stuck with the powers I originally had. Still have no idea why. Do you think I knew this would happen? Do you think I did what I was supposed to do?

Now that its end had come the rock found itself strangely saddened. It still wasn't completely sure what the point of it being there was.

So, Kane's timeline is going to be interesting. He'll get in duels, be in threads, but I'm mainly going to focus on the conflict between him and Shelan. Shelan will have sole access to Mistborn-ness, and Kane will have sole access to an undisclosed(read: undecided) power. The conflict will be big, bad, and freaking awesome.

Rashan held a spike in his hand, one Voidus had once him about. It was the spike which gave Voidus his sentience as a rock.

Rashan had been told one who was stabbed with it would effectively 'pin' Voidus to their body, having two minds share one body.

Rashan considered stabbing himself with the spike. 

Rashan wondered whether Voidus would want that, whether he wanted to come back to life. Or maybe Voidus was fine with dying. Maybe he achieved his life's purpose. Rashan considered. A spike could be a weakness. But having Voidus in his head would be a strength. Voidus was wise, far wiser than any Rashan knew, and to have him dead...

Spike, or no Spike.

Voidus or no Voidus

Keep him alive or let him die.

Rashan wished, wherever Voidus was in the afterlife, that he would at least send something, a message at least, perhaps an anonymous note or a divine messenger or something, that would tell Rashan the answer.

What would Voidus want? Rashan hoped it wasn't too late for Voidus to tell him that.
