“I certify this agreement,” Rebus said. A halberd of darkly glowing metal appeared in his hands - the Plotblade Antagonist, appearing as a weapon rather than a crown - placed to be mere inches of additional lunging away from stabbing the lunging Horror with the spearhead. Rebus deftly spun the weapon, glowing just enough to keep Shadow corporeal as Rebus hooked his shoulder and yanked him toward Rebus and downward. “You do not have to work with Mischief, no.” Rebus ignored the feeling - for he didn’t have to sneeze - and coated the sprite’s lips with nanomachines, altering the texture each time she figured out how to keep whistling.

Shadow pulled himself free and danced around, always in motion. Betrayal tried to get involved, but after Shadow scratched up his armor he glared and backed off

”I would berate you for being the favorite toy of this man, but I suppose I’m not much worse now.” Shadow said

Shadow then slipped on a spot of the floor that had suddenly become slick, but turned it into a lunge last second.

The sprite then made the floor beneath Betrayal slick, but as he was standing there it didn’t do anything. The frogs were still everywhere, but mostly attacking Shadow and causing general mayhem.

What happened to Renn?

Sandy, who didn't like being ignored, asked, "Do you like aliens?"

idk nobody had spoken to him in ages idk if Asharak I think it was is gonna give him a mission. He’s kinda sitting there all primed up with no story to tell I think unless I missed smth (@Kansas Stormcursed)

also, fair warning, this area is inaccessible in person unless the Horror of Betrayal guides you there but he’s with Rebus rn. If you’re powerful enough you can still have an incorporeal projection appear, but right now Axzi can’t, there’s spells preventing him from more than Telepathy. I’m assuming that’s how Sandy is here

Axzi spoke in his mind

That would depend on the aliens, and how likely they are to harm me or my subjects.

Oh Sandy just used Quantum Tunneling

Sandy was startled by the intrusion.

"Uhh... the aliens are currently trying to flee their dangerous homeworld. Right now their only concern is survival."

Sandy was determined to save the Trisolarans.

Ok let me make this more clear

This specific plot line I don’t want intruded upon

With Renn I don’t mind as of yet

But please for this one at least don’t intervene 😭🙏

I’m fine with a projection who can’t physically intervene, you can certainly distract with chatter, but please no physical stuff, k?

I am unsure how to help. Is this even somewhere I can access?

Uhh

Fine

This is by ansible communication

Ender's Game reference, that.

"You needn't worry about how they'll get here. They're on their way already, although it'll take a few years. All I want you to do is make sure they can live here once they arrive in four years." Sandy hesitated. "There's a few thousand of them."

Yeah I have a mission to send him on but Asharak is wrapped up at the moment, I'll give it to him as soonas this mess I've gotten myself into is mostly free

Ok thank you!

I do not think my lands can handle thousands. Perhaps a few hundred at most. If you can give me a reason to speak on their behalf, I may be able to. However, I must look after my own first, and thousands of refugees arriving would cause too much mayhem to be in line with Order. Yes, perhaps a few hundred can stay in my lands until they get a foothold for themselves. However, if they will not just be hungry mouths to feed, if they will be more than just a strain on my limited resources, I will certainly be willing to help more, it is just that I cannot simply create what is not there. I am compelled to help you, this is in line with Love, but I am also compelled to help those I already have a commitment to. Perhaps you begin to see my dilemma.

Hey I’m looking to join too (I love telling stories) but I’m having trouble tracking 🤣

Can any of you give me a summary?

This is currently 18142, not Sandy.

I know, he changed a lot since he last appeared here. Probably has to do with the aliens.

YES WE KNOW YOU LIKE SAFES.

Storms I know none of the plot and I’m having the time of my life.

I only know my main plotline, which is mostly closed. People can create projections that can’t physically interact with others but can still appear, although I may have a way to add either you, @KaladinsSenseOfHumorSpren, both,  neither, or even anybody else to my plotline. You’ll might die, they’ll likely have to fight Rebus at some point, but there’s a way to spare you and I think Rebus isn’t the type to turn down the opportunity to turn enemies into allies. I can see a really cool way to add either of you, if either of y’all wanna I can pm you the details. There will be npcs already who can take over the role so don’t feel obligated to, but there is an option if you wanna create a character for that plotline.

As for Renn, Idrk. U can prob make a character and have them interact, but again, no stress.

Again, I only know my plotline and not quite a plotline yet but there are likely a lot of others you can join

TLDR U DON’T NEED ANY BACKSTORY TO JOIN TLT. MY PLOTLINE HAS OPTIONS TO JOIN (but not ones that my plot can’t progress without), AND I CAN PM DETAILS. THERE ARE ALSO SOOO MANY MORE PLOTLINES, SO DON’T FEEL OBLIGATED TO JOIN MINE

Right I think that’s it.

"Yes, I do." Sandy paused. "But - I think I have a solution. These Trisolarans - they are superior to us technologically. They may have a way to improve our efficiency in numerous areas, allowing for the accomodation of more of them. Unfortunately, as they aren't used to our biology, they can't help us with farming or food processing. However, they will be bringing and growing their own food, as they've got a reverse chirality. And, they can also dehydrate - expell all water from their bodies and stay as 'husks' that can be stored for years before being rehydrated."

"So... can you accommodate them?"

I may be able to allow them to stay in a portion of my lands. How well does their biology fit a forest ecosystem? There is some land there I can spare, as long as very little of it is deforested and they do not hunt excessively. However, they may not enter the Ancient Grove unless they serve me. How many would be able to live in perhaps three square miles of forest? That is as much as I can spare, assuming we can trade freely. There are some plains that can be farmed, but they must be negotiated with the owners for prices of growing crops there for a season. They are good people and upon seeing your plight will be kind. But unfortunately they must look after their families, so nothing comes for free.

I look forward to a future of friendship between our peoples.
