"Nice to meet you, Shoe. Lovely name, might I add." She smiled warmly. "Tell me a bit about yourself! Your adventures, your feats! ... Your name is awfully familiar as well. I don't think I've met you though." She looked thoughtful for a moment.

He sighed. Bacon's podcast?

Gail gave him a timid wave. "Hi," she said. "I'm Gail. I don't think we've met."

Shoe got his pad out. Hi, Gail. I think we have met before, actually. It was really brief though. I'm Shoe.

Shoe took a mug of hot chocolate. Thanks. I'm Shoe.

Shoe looked to the side, then did a double take.

Wait . . . Nogard? He walked over.

Nogard brightened. "Shoe! You're alive!"

Elsewhere on the thread, invitations appeared to the General, the Brave Adventurer, the Great Wizard, Onyx, and the Dreamsmith, to name a few.

Onyx sent a message apologizing for not being able to attend and wishing good fortune on the proceedings.

"It would be my pleasure," said Bacon, leading her onto the dance floor.

"It's no trouble. I do it all the time."

Lady Bug was quite proud of the ambiance, especially the fireflies. She stole a brownie from one of the trays as they danced.

"Ah. I haven't yet tried."

So are you! Subversio- he started to write, then stopped. One second.

He looked around. Livetha? Could you Connect Nogard and I?

Livetha connected them, meaning that they could now hear each other's thoughts. @xinoehp512

Sequence smiled. "Thank you. So, what've you been up to lately? Can I interest you in some tea?" She offered a cup to the Bookwyrm. It smelled of pine and juniper.

Bookwyrm took the tea.

"Nothing much, really," he said, taking a sip. "Like...literally. Sometimes being a Narrator is weird."

"An honor to make your acquaintance, madam," said Selppaenip, bowing in return. "Is there any way I can be of service? Ruffians attempting to disturb the peace, perhaps?"

Sequence laughed and put a hand to her chest. "I do believe I have that part under control for the moment, but if I need your assistance," She leaned in closer. "Or if I see any pineapples," She said softly with a smile. "I'll be sure to seek you out!"

4 minutes ago, xinoehp512 said:

"The 3000th what?" Nogard's eyes were well and truly glazed over at this.

"The 3,000th-" Sequence paused as she recalled a warning Subversion had given her a while ago. "... It's just how we measure time. It's synonymous to a year, you know? 3,000th page, year 3,000, whatever you want to call it."

“I wait. For mage.” Honestly, the Render might tear up the invitation by accident.

How's Qodi?

Gail frowned. "She did? Oh. I... wouldn't have guessed that." She pulled Qodi out of her pocket. "She's still sleeping. We were in this fight, you see, and I guess she fainted."

She nodded. "Fair points."

"Why, of course! I invited everybody! Theoretically, even the most ancient and powerful evils could attend, though I did attach something of a threat to my invitations. If you didn't notice it, it's likely because your thoughts are pure. But, for those with thoughts of war and destruction, they'll notice an extra clause. 'When I say this is a peaceful event, I mean it. Those who break the peace will be dispatched swiftly'." Sequence looked rather proud of herself. "Spooky, right? I also gave it a little bit of that d̸̨̠̼̾̂a̴̙̭̽̾ṟ̶̢̓k̵̪͆n̵̩͙͙̂ẽ̸̢̳̙̔s̶̩͊͊s̸͖̫̓̊͜ I have with on occasion."

A short woman with a fuzzy mop of blond hair scurried up to her, looking excited. "Hi! You must be Gail- is that right? Are you Gail? It would be so awkward if I accidentally found the wrong person." She laughed nervously, then suddenly paused and gave a cordial bow and extended her hand in greeting. "I'm Fuzzy, by the way!"
