Most shook their heads, but a few here and there were able to direct him through various hallways. He sprinted through the corridors, gasping for breath. After all this time- Who'd've thought- I can't miss this! I CAN'T!

Then he turned the knob and opened the door.

This is a very intense moment for Shoe, in case you couldn't tell

Shoe watch the man leave the room. He wasn't sure how he felt about what had just happened. On the one hand, he was extremely frustrated with both the man and himself; on the other he was hopeful. He hadn't told Shoe no outright, so maybe . . . there was a chance?

As much as Shoe wanted to think about it more, he was mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted from the long day. He walked over to Beosta's bed and sat in a nearby chair.
