The Darkbeast spat it out. It tasted nasty.

Instead, it started snacking on the reality at Nameless's feet.

"Perhaps you have been brought here by Fate," Professor Jones proposed. "Many of our students are."

Nameless pet the Darkbeast. "If you change your mind, you have the invitation. Feel free to stop by." He dissapeared.

The Darkbeast followed Nameless, chewing up reality as it did so.

Nameless sighed. "The party doesn't start until I hand out all the invitations. And doing that will be rather difficult with you following me. So how about you stay here?"

The Darkbeast headed off to where the party location would be staged.

Nameless checked his mental list. "Looks like professor Jones is next up. Wait, did I give her an invitation already? I really should have written this down."

"No, Fate had nothing to do with it, He couldn't shift like that." Alex pondered for a moment. "It's like I have a blank spot in my memory. Who are you people?"

Nameless decided that he should pay professor Jones a visit. Better to give her two invitations than to give her none.

"I am a professor here at the university. He is a murderer and a traitor. I don't know why he's here."

The Wanderer jumped slightly. "Uh... yes. She's kind of busy though."

"Well, I can wait. Don't really have anything important to do." Nameless sat down and pulled out a piece of paper. "Do you have a pen?"

After a minute of searching through various pockets, the Wanderer procured one.

[NameIess]

"Ah, thanks." Nameless put the pen to paper, then hesitated. "I have no idea who I've already invited. Wonderful."

At the statement that the armored one was a murderer and a traitor, Alex tightened his grip on his staff and unsheathed his sword slightly. "What do you teach?"

Nameless was sad to see such an archaic plotline end in such a tragic way. He gave both Kelsier and Jasnah an invitation to his party, which was totally going to happen at some point.
