This mime was special.

SoT shuddered, coming out of her trance. The light in her eyes faded.

SoT took a breath, glad things with her sister had calmed down. Her pain made SoT uneasy.

The mime cleared his throat.

Silence sends greetings, he said.

SoT looked over the mime. "Is he really gone?" she asked reverently. 

[Ghanderflaffle she/her]

The mime left to be tried by his brothers for their most heinous crime. Making noise.

He was pronounced innocent, as speaking in Silence was specifically not against the rules. The trial took no time, so SoT never noticed his absence.

The case was reopened and under further review it was discovered that he was guilty.

But the entire case was overruled by Silence.

The mimes involved were sentenced to one month in the Nightmare Tree as punishment.
