This particular trend was started by Tamika.

In this universe, something very, very bad had happened.

It was relevant to Star, however. 

AJ had died. Actually, he had died a long, long time ago. But now that she had her memories back, she was really messed up.

That wasn't the worst thing that had happened, though.

Tom had shaved his beard.

Tom Bombadil now had only a goatee

And even worse, Samika had taken control of Ralvon.

Thankfully, Ralvon was still a handerfle, so he couldn't really do all that much.

And worst of all, the Narrators had forgotten the protagonist
