The shardworld had 25% of Yolen's gravity, was exactly 25 km in circumference, and had exactly 25 ghanderflaffles, each holding 1/25th of the Shard Ghanderflaffle.

But since shards technically have infinite power, each of those Ghanderflaffles had infinite power.

You know what'd be cool? If I could see what percentage of the posts on this thread were mine.

That would be cool...

One of the ghanderflaffles rose up to take control of the entire Shard. So they started killing the other 24 one-by-one.

Oooh, I figured out how to do it! With the magical power of activity streams! @ElephantEarwax Could you tag the thread with "the longest thread" or something random and unique? It'll let me see how many posts I have in this thread.

That ghanderflaffle invited one over for dinner.

That ghanderflaffle snuck a bomb into the lasagna of the other one during dinner, which exploded within them as they were on their way home crossing a bridge. With the bridge destroyed, another ghanderflaffle accidentally tripped where the bridge used to be and drowned. This contaminated the river with toxic lasagna essence, which poisoned another ghanderflaffle when they drank out of it.

Three down. Twenty-one to go. The power-hungry ghanderflaffle was steadily reaching his goal.

Then he realized that one of the 1/25ths of a shard she got was actually of a totally different shard.

Posted

So, as a result of this Shard's influence, the ghanderflaffle dropped all 1/25ths that it had. Except the Bad ideas one.

This phenomenon was known as the Arnutt Paradox. Dockson arrived with his identical clone Dockson, which combined with him Wonder Twins style to create a pair-o'-Docks, which countered the paradox.

Posted

And then the Pair-O'-Docks changed one letter of their name, and became a Pair-O'-Socks.

(I doubt we could possibly have the longest thread on the forum, since Random Stuff has been around for a long time, among others. We'd need to exceed 200 pages or more.)

*chuckles at the memory*

The socks did not smell good.
