It was midnight in the city, and the only light was the flashes of lightning illuminating the heavens. "Lane!" he called out, though nobody was nearby. Sure enough, a hooded figure emerged from the shadows. "Captain?" he asked, his misty cloak not hiding a powerful build. "There are strange things afoot. Make sure the Crown is secured. The villain Had changed since Bacon last had seen him circular scars covered his face, and instead of his typical technological suit of armor he held a wicked black battle axe. "Are my protections sufficient to keep you trapped here? They were intended to prevent Rebus from teleporting in, but will they prevent you from teleporting out?" Context: Malevolence revealed his intent to claim the Witherord while you were gone. After sequence's death Everyone/Ivisyre took control of Sequence's world and former status as a narrator, so Malevolence teleported the vault holding bacon to another location so that he could keep control of it and take the pages from Bacon once you returned. He also got a cool Mordite weapon from the Dreamsmith that changes with his soul. Verdance he/him Posted February 6 Posted February 6 (edited) Inkwell woke up on the porch. His clothes were soaking wet. It seemed rain had come through during the night, and the sky which had been a clear canvas of stars last he had seen was now blank and white. He stiffly got up, went inside, and sat in front of a fire until he was dry. “I guess it’s time…” Spoiler Malevolence is going to steal the Lost Pages from Bacon the Bard and summon the Witherlord to destroy the Thread. “Are you kidding me!?!?” Birds for miles around the foothills inexplicably decided they would rather migrate three months earlier this year.
