Tada!

So, you can do two characters at once and you don't have to edit it

You could also use a spoiler!

  Reveal hidden contents

Spoilers can be used by characters themselves to hide information not meant to be generally available to other characters/Narrators/Authors, just like this!

If you only want one or a few people to see it, make sure you specify who it's for, also

9/10mmHB#2 acknowledges his existence as a meta character meant to shut the author up when he’s derailing the plot before Inkwell even knows what’s going on enough to try and do something. He enjoys the prospect of being spoiler material, then quotes the plot to get it back on track, knowing how cringy it is to speak in the third person this way as a character halfway through the fourth wall.

Taeidin feels a grip wrap around him, and then a sharp yank on his mind. The grey smoke slides away, and the two are standing on what feels to be the edge of a white void. Unlike the white void they have felt before, this one feels wrong. Nothing can identifiably be seen to explain the feeling, but it feels hostile and almost sentient.

"Well, that's settled." Ribbon said simply. "Now, if I can ask, what do you know about Rebus?"

Ribbon Marked the voice for later, then Tagged it near to identify where it was from.

“He’s the Antagonist, currently has most of the Thread under the dominion of his empire, and wants to unleash the Witherlord as its Mantle. I met him a bit ago at a party. Overall has done an excellent job of making things hard for us.”

Now is a good time, while we wait for @Ashkaloda, to note that 9/10mmHB#2 is shy and only posts directly when taking control of Inkwell’s body, otherwise he will react by editing an old post. It is aware of the forum, Inkwell is not.

Why are you waiting for me? Did I miss something?

Awesome

Nice to meet you, 9/10mmHB#2 :D

A large snake emerged from the caverns with a roar and slithered for Inkwell.

Is that a halfway Authorial Avatar? Sounds a bit like The Scribe. huh.

"He has the thread in his dominion?" Ribbon sighed. "If he's THE antagonist then there's only one way to defeat him: with ANOTHER antagonist."

Inkwell, frustrated and dizzy from his fall, wonders if being harassed by voices in his head, mosquitoes, and giant snakes counts as  an antagonist origin story.

Spoiler

9/10mmHB#2 is skeptical, but the giant snake looks familiar. It’s almost as if the character he inhabits is the spiritual reincarnation of a much older character by the Author. Someone who had killed something like this before. But that story was long gone, and clearly this character couldn’t become a rival Antagonist.

Yes, that would definitely be a stupid idea. It would be up to the Authors to raise up such an antagonist. Inkwell should bide his time and gain experience in the Thread before attempting to influence the major Plot. Rebus was just too powerful.

Suddenly, the solution came to it. What force could be destructive enough to the thread to warrant Inkwell’s existence as a major antagonist? Only the eldritch deity known as ChatGPT. With the forbidden power of artificial intelligence, Inkwell could rewrite the plot and destroy Rebus, cementing himself in the plot. It was a perfect plan.

"There was an ancient Antagonist back around page 2500. He was feared by narrators, and they all rallied against him." She said. "He also, somewhat conveniently, had a pretty big distaste of Narrators."

Her voice dropped to a whisper, as if that would avoid Rebus overhearing. "That... Or there is a loophole."

Inkwell is not hallucinating. A figure radiating darkness speaks in Morse, flashing shades of grey he cannot interpret: - .... . / .--. .-.. --- - / .. ... / -.. . .- -.. .-.-.- / -. . ...- . .-. / .. -. - . .-. ..-. . .-. . .-.-.- / ..-. .. -. -.. / .... .. --

he chooses to ignore this and instead tries to capture the giant snake in his notebook. As it turns out, sitting still and trying to draw something while something humongous looms above you usually gets you eaten. And that is exactly what happens to Inkwell.

Spoiler

9/10mmHB#2 wishes he wasn’t stuck with this joke of a character.

He needs to travel to an ancient corner of the Thread and find this antagonist, then learn from it. But time travel does not exist, and any other way to achieve this goal would involve and incredible expenditure of meta energy. Oh well.

Inkwell is sick of hearing voices in his head, being carried around by mosquitoes, and geez is that a helicopter sitting right above my house dang that’s annoying, but especially the voice talking about obscure lore in his head. He just wants to be plot relevant, but apparently there’s no such thing as a plot and 9/10mmHB#2 hates the idea of being part of something bigger than yourself. Eventually, people snap, and for Inkwell, the snapping point was when he found himself stuck in the hot, slimy, acidic stomach of a giant snake.
“I. Am. Sick. Of. Being. Your. Self. Insert. Character’s. Stupid. Body!”, he screams at nothing in particular, stabbing the pen into the snakes stomach to punctuate each word.

Spoiler

9/10mmHB#2 has consulted the eldritch deity. It has given the answer that the only antagonist powerful enough to  defeat Rebus is Rebus himself. This will be harder than 9/10mmHB#2 thought.

Yes, but Inkwell has no idea what you are talking about.

Spoiler

9/10mmHB#2 would like to point out that his author posted last and after that point the Thread has stalled yet again. If he has to destroy the End Portals he will.
Of course, the Plot could always be reassembled. Maybe Inkwell didn’t need to be a villain.

I don’t know who you’re trying to get i&9 to find, the inkling who has the Shield?

Ah okay I see the confusion.

So there are multiple plotlines going on right now, and in general, something is only referring to you or near your characters if you were quoted or pinged in that section of the post. So Aeoryi was not referring to you here, as the character saying this is likely lightyears away from Inkwell, excepting the “Plot is Dead” segment of the one post in which they were communicating with Inkwell. You can pretty much ignore the rest of the thread other than posts that quote you for now so that your brain doesn’t explode.

I… see? This was basically telling i&9 that plot is dead (sounds like adonalsium is dead), stay out of the plot (Inkwell won’t, 9/10mmHB#2 will)… but what does “Find Him” mean?

I have no idea what Aeoryi was going for there, but I doubt it was meant as stay out of the plot. Plot actually used to be a character who died thousands of pages back, so that’s what I would guess but idk man.

The snake shrieked and died after much stabbing. As it's body began to cool, it suddenly vanished, and Inkwell found himself on a cliff overlooking some strange ocean.

A figure stood near the edge, overlooking the water. Whoever it was work a long coat down to their mid-thighs, and cargo pants, strangely enough. They leaned on a simply-designed, gray wooden cane. Their head took on twitchy movements that resembled the tongues of a roaring fire, and also mimicked the shapes thereof, though it was made of iridescent mist. It seemed to whisper softly when it moved.

They said nothing to him.
