"I only need the Mordite. And Michael has it."

The Nohr-maul blade glowed bright white in response.

Unintelligible didn't blink. "Leave. You don't want to fight us."

"I'll leave if you tell me where Mordite is." Desolation smiled, "And if you're lying, it won't go well."

"Well, then I certainly know where some Mordite is. Perhaps right here." Desolation looked at Unintelligible, studying him. "You're the bright one, aren't you? You're the one who used the spheres to knock out Falvan. It would be a shame to kill you"

"That was me, yes." Unintelligible returned Desolation's stare. "I don't want to kill you either. How about we both just agree to leave well enough alone?"

"Very well. But do be warned. If I do not find Mordite, I will come back here."

The blade is in a different location since Desolation used some narration. Hacob is probably in Urithiru or something. Desolation and Hacob are not bound together. Either way, Hacob is not priority for Desolation anyways.

Hacob is linked to the Nohr Maul blade because of the way he banished it. Also, Hacob is not in Urithiru, I know where he is.

Blinking, he sat up. "Blegh."

"Never been banished before?" Platypus asked him. "It ain't fun."

"Where am I, and what are you doing here?" Hacob stood up carefully, leaning on Platypus.

Platypus Narrated a staff for him to lean on into existence. "You're in my lair. As for what I'm doing here, I was bringing you here. You're important. And I need your help. Let's go gather a few more people. You go get the once-Author. I think it's time for me to have a talk with Feanor."

@Ancient Elantrian you were the once-author, right? @Thaidakar the Ghostblood

"Fine." Unintelligible shut the door, leaving Desolation outside, then exhaled. "I think he's leaving."

Yes, I was the once-author. I was busy for a bit, so I couldn’t keep up with everything that happens all the time. Care to explain what’s going on in TLT rn?

um... Desolation (some sort of immortal being called an inkling) is here and is trying to kill all Narrators. He has a sword that can absorb Narration, and most of us are trying to stop him. Hacob was/is an Avatar of Platypus that banished the Nohr Maul blade (the aforementioned sword) at the cost of himself being banished, but since it returned, he returned. Right now Platypus is trying to gather allies against Desolation. Did I miss anything important @Nameless* and @Aeoryi

Desolation can also absorb narration without the sword, though less effectively. And someone contacted Desolation secretly, offering him a way to fulfill his desire to destroy all narrators in exchange for obedience. No one knows about that though.

No one currently in the thread has any way of knowing about it.

yep!

Hacob teleports out of the lair to the field where Platypus fought Rond and then challenged Feanor. This was where he had last heard of the once-Author, so it made sense to start here.

Hmm… what to do. Do I lead you on a hunt? Or make this easy…

A note floats in the air. It has an arrow pointing off to the side, towards a tunnel in the ground.

Yeah.

Was it important? People didn't know.

@Aeoryi, anything else you want to add?

I might have to get off soon.

Are they mutually exclusive?

Hacob looked at the note. Did he trust it? He didn't really have a choice.

Not really I suppose.

The tunnel led deep into the ground, straight down. Glowing green fungus speckled the walls and water dripped from the walls. A cold draft blew from within. Then, from deep within came a quiet, high-pitched whimper.

Hacob froze, hearing a whimper echoing up the tunnel. Then he ran down it, his dagger, made of the same materials of Narrationblades, held in front of him. Platypus had given it to him, just in case he'd need it. Preparing for a fight, he stepped into a large cavern.

In a dark corner of the room there was a large lump. It shifted, breathing. Then it looked up, and in its eyes were crazed fear.

“NO!” The Once-Author screamed. “I won’t let you kill me! I won’t let you! No no no no no no NO!!!” He leapt up and began to run.

Hacob watched in shock. Then, coming to his senses, he lunged and tackled him, pinning him down. "Calm down. I'm not here to hurt you. I have just been sent on a mission by my former current Narrator."
