Turns out, Feanor himself was The sandwich, from the battle for the sandwich. An army of folks from his home-thread came in looking for him.

you have no idea what you're unleashing by trapping Feanor in a corner...

Feanor smiled sardonically as the nightmarish spirits zoned in on himself. The master raised his blade so that it was parallel to his nose, falling into a rare sword stance that he'd known all his life like a close friend. The spirits grew closer and closer as Feanor took a deep breath. This was the moment he'd been waiting for. Ahh, and what a glorious moment it was. No-one would ruin his plans, not completely. They could try. Oh they could try. But, in the end, they had to know that they will lose all they hold dear in the process. Feanor remembered teaching upon teaching, layer upon layer of training him to become one of the best warriors in TLT. No, not a warrior, a beast of fury that could tear everything in its path to pieces.

It was time to unleash that beast.

Feanor's eyes snapped open, an animalistic rage seeming to emanate from them and him as he moved with grace, slamming his blade into one spirit after another. Narration grew around him, blocking Platypus from undoing his with expertise and finesse only learned after progressive failure and success. A master at his craft, Feanor mowed through the spirits, slashing them with his blade, a deadly cross between the darkness and the light.

Feanor leapt into the air, sending the spirits with subtle Plot Weavings and Narration to charge Platypus. Narration flares around the master swordsman who is Feanor, bursting into blinding white flames. Feanor lands in front of Platypus, eyes blazing with Narration, white flames all around him like a halo of contrast to the darkness of his cloak, fallen spirits in the millions behind him. Feanor danced, slashing, stabbing, parrying, Narrating, Plot weaving, piercing and far more in an attack on Platypus. He countered every bit of Narration thrown at him with an impossibly precise touch, showing how long he'd been working to this moment.

It was abundantly clear that Platypus was fighting a master of TLT.

He's slashed by Feanor's sword and kicked into Platypus during the flurry of attacks on the spirits.

you don't understand how powerful Platypus' feeling for revenge is, and how powerful his Narration is now. He is no expert, but he has far more raw strength right now. For the record, he is in no way backed into a corner, Platypus is just sick of him and is going to try to stop whatever he's here to do

Platypus watched in grudging respect as Feanor used his power. Platypus knew that the time was come. He split. Then he split again. And again, and again, and again. Soon there were hundreds of Platypus' running around, all held a Narrationblade, but only one held Vengeance. They all grinned menacingly. Then they thought of Chion-Jera-Phow, shawn-zhera-fow his mentor. He thought to the teachings. He remembered how he had been trained to create his own space, take the battle on his own terms. He begins to Narrate. This had never been his strongest, and he starts out clunky, but the Narrations get more and more finesse to them as he goes. Blocking fire, changing his eyes so he wouldn't be blinded, changing his body so he was faster, changing until he was the best he could be for combat.

Platypus moved, and the clones started moving independently. He shut his eyes in concentration as he let them protect him from spirits while he prepared a powerful Narrative blast. As Feanor landed in front of him, he backed away. He brought Vengeance up and let his Narrationblade change into mist. He looked around and saw that he had room. Vengeance was glowing brighter. Suddenly it disappeared. Platypus gasped, then grinned. Now he was glowing. No, glowing was too weak. He was emitting a blazing aura all around him. The air around him lit in colors. His power lit him on fire. He smirked at Feanor, then summoned his Narrationblade again. It formed a broadsword that he wielded with ease.

The subtle Plot Weavings were bludgeoned aside by a powerful Narration. The spirits evaporated in the face of that blast. His eyes flew open, and they were pure white, radiant with power. Platypus formed a drill from his mind and dove into Feanor's mind, even while he danced away from his spinning Blade. Then he jumped to the offensive, slowly pushing Feanor back with his Narrationblade growing bigger as he channeled more and more into it. Slashing and stabbing, it was a delicate dance. Finally they reached a standstill in a clearing. Every time the Blades hit, Narrative power flew.

It slowly became evident that Platypus had no intent of losing.

oh, Thaidakar, is what Feanor doing important to the plot? also, don't kill Platypus

Everything that Feanor does is important. What he's aiming to do to Subversion? Perhaps, perhaps not. I'm kinda just winging it as usual. I have a plan, but it isn't... it's a very flexible plan, shall we say? There are some fun things that will happen soon. I plan to shake Platypus to his core in a moment since I'll be gone until Saturday evening.

Aight, ima just write something rq here to wrap up this one thing 'fore I've gotta do some stuff.

Feanor fought with expert skill, holding back Platypus and earning hits against him. Platypus was good, but so was Feanor. And, yet, Feanor could see that with Vengeance at his side, and Feanor without a Plotblade, the winner was obvious in a quick fight. "Cheater," Feanor muttered. Feanor could, if he wanted to, win the fight, but it would take far, far longer than was feasible or that the clock would allow him. Well... he could do that... why, of course he could... And, perhaps, he would... Yes, yes he would. It was the only way to guarantee that Platypus understood what he was fighting for and what Platypus should be fighting for.

It was time to show Platypus who he truly was.

Continuing to hold off Platypus with expert skill, Feanor laughed, "You're avenging the fallen against me, Platypus?" The villain put a finger to his hood slightly, "Would you like to know who I am? Who I truly am underneath this hood? Only then will you truly and completely understand what this war is and what I am fighting for... And why Thaidakar had to die." The master swordsman used Narration to hold back Vengeance for a bit, "Tell me, would you like to see?"

The spirits continued their sinuous attack on the characters, Narrators, avatars and more all over the battlefield. In the mass of them, a figure formed, Feanor standing there in his vapory cloak, holding aloft a sword. Feanor strode forward towards Subversion, smiling softly, "Subversion! I see you have returned! Welcome back..." His voice echoed forward towards them. "How was being split into ten pieces? Fun... I'd bet..." The villain laughed sarcastically, "Tell me, do you think you will win this entire fight?"

Subversion could barely spare a glance for Feanor, focused entirely on keeping her energy contained safely. Where did Power get this much narration from? did she eat Butt Venture's soul? As the ten new sets of memories arranged themselves in her singular mind, Subversion examined Power's experiences, trying to figure out what had happened. The search was fruitless, however. Power had been almost incoherent, moving solely by instinct, and all Subversion could find out was that she had indeed found some massive source of raw narration and absorbed it.

Subversion shook her head. Whatever the source of the extra power, it was time to use it. Cracks of light were already appearing on her skin, and soon she'd be no better off than Power had been. She cast her eyes around the battlefield, looking for something to Narrate. She could try destroying Feanor, but that would be risky. Too much resistance and she'd lose control. Yes, it was best to do something that she was good at, something that both take a lot of narrative energy and be impossible to stop. Her mind racing, Subversion's eyes fell upon the spirits. Most of them were dead by now, but groups still fought, and even the dead ones had fragments of essence lying around. Perfect.

Subversion raised a hand, and the spirits began to change. She wove her power with expertise, first subverting Feanor's control over the spirits, then repairing those that had been damaged. That done, she began to give them names.

The first of the spirits Subversion named Berrin. Berrin was a somber young woman, owing mostly to her harsh upbringing. Though her family had been kind, Berrin's life after Kalithor's destruction had not.

The next Subversion named Omen. Omen was a mysterious figure, half-real and half nightmare, a product of some insane experiment attempting to reach into the world of Dreams. Despite his terrifying appearance, Omen was kind at heart, and disliked the fear his presence instilled in others.

The third Spirit Subversion named Orchard, so called because of the trees she bonded to her soul.

The fourth spirit, Subversion named Salacar.

The fifth, Laran, and the sixth...

On and on it went. Spirit after spirit, name after name. Subversion unleashed the full might of her narration, not stopping until each and every spirit was fully characterized, insulated from those who would manipulate them. The field of battle was now covered in people, an empty ring around the place where Feanor and Platypus still fought.

Feanor. Subversion narrowed her eyes at the villain, fighting Platypus fiercely. Whoever this mystery villain was, it was clear that they were experienced. More experienced than Subversion herself, if she was honest. Fighting had never been her strong suit. Still helping to defeat this villain was the least Subversion could do, considering what she'd put everyone through.

A piece of Subversion, the piece that had been MGC, was shocked at the guilt she felt for the destruction Power had caused. The rest of her, however, had better things to think about.

Subversion racked her brain, sifting through ten sets of memories for some new skill that would allow her to defeat Feanor. Nothing presented itself that would work, tired as she was from all the narrating. Perhaps she should just summon her Narrationblade and attack, regardless of her lack of skill in combat. An inexperienced ally could be all Platypus needed to tip the scales-

A memory surfaced. It wasn't from any of Subversion's splinters, nor was it from before. No, this memory was older than Subversion. Far older. It came from a mind that Subversion could only dimly feel, a presence that was always with her.

Subversion laughed. Then she started running towards Feanor, shouting at the dark narrator as she quickly crossed the ground separating the two of them. "Hey! You wanted to know how I was going to beat you? Well, I'll tell you my plan if you're ready to hear it!"

I'm like leaving rn. So... @Being of Cacophony Here's how things will go.

Feanor warps them into another realm that works on different time so the fight is basically halted after you do your reaction to the moves that I just put. I'll be back on Saturday.

To make it official: Feanor takes them to another realm where time moves way slower.

Just asking because I had a plan if it was really important. It's a very clever plan.

Platypus heard him mutter and was able to distinguish the word cheater. Guessing the reason, he smirked. He could tell that Feanor had more finesse, but with all the power coursing through him, losing would be nigh impossible.

Feeling surprise at the offer, Platypus disengages. "Whoever you are, it won't be enough to redeem you."

btw, Vengeance was absorbed into Platypus due to him wanting vengeance so bad. Their goals aligned and thus it was absorbed.. It is temporary, but right now he's fighting with the Narrationblade and with the full strength of Plot behind him, so unless he's disrupted, he'll be pretty much impossible to beat. Depending on who Feanor is, that might be enough shock to do it, but probably not.

ok, Have a good time!

Platypus looked at the strange realm, an underground cave area populated only by them and some bioluminesent mushrooms that wilted as they, both glowing with very powerful light, appeared in the cave.

I don't think that's canonically possible. Vengeance could certainly be powering Platypus up quite a bit, but Plot's power is still splintered among all the Plotblades. While Vengeance is the most powerful, it is still only a relatively small piece of Plot's power at the end of the day. Which is still a lot, but nowhere near the full strength of Plot.

sorry, i said full power, I meant full power contained in Vengeance. sorry for the confusion. Still, the statement holds. With Feanor not having a Plotblade, it would be very difficult to defeat him. However, having absorbed the Plotblade does have some downsides that might get revealed later

Feanor attacked again, Subversion recombined and used Power's excess narration to turn all the spirits he was using to attack people into characters, and was going to confront Feanor when he dragged them (himself, Platypus, and Subversion I believe) into an alternate dimension where time flows more slowly. (Thaidakar's gone until Saturday evening, so that's the explanation for why the battle with Feanor isn't continuing till then).

So that leaves everyone else standing on a field that's filled with newly-made characters and the leftover damage from the battle.

Okay, yeah that works. Although I imagine Feanor does have some more tricks up his sleeve.
