Moni overheard this and began going through an existential crisis.

Abomination did, in fact, smell like cheese. This was because of the metric ton of it that was dumped onto his head by Moni.

And the fact that the ground under him was turned into a ever churning cheese vat that he could never escape by Snotlout As Well As....

But not just the ground beneath Abomination was turning into a cheese vat. Vast swaths of this planet's crust and mantle were becoming cheese, which was catastrophically rupturing its geological and gravitational stability.

This resulted in the death of many including Abomination, decreed Snotlout As Well As...

But because Narrators couldn't die, they just ended up floating in space after the planet collapsed. They eventually landed on another planet where they could continue their conversation.

Also, the University of Universes was secretly a spaceship, so it flew away when the cheese planet had started to collapse.
