my depressed pet rock named dwayne disagrees(upvote if you get the reference). The Quarkbeast is not conceited, mostly just hungry. The one whom we are calling Bob also does not think in the same way that humans do, and cannot be conceited.

"I'm still not sure who exactly TOC's boss is, but I'm sure it'll become relevant at some point."

like seriously. Nameless Ends are above Cosmic entities, and most are inherently chaotic-dark. This does not make them evil. Darkness can - for balance creatures - cause them to become inclined to evil, but it will not necessarily make them so.

You do realize that the Spectra is talking to the Knight?

The one whom we are calling Bob continued to ignore Nameless, and kicked the Machine. it sprang to life, and lights came on in the bunker. He held up the sack for a moment, concentrating, then it vanished. Nameless vanished as well, drawn to attack TOC.

Naturally. The Ennullers are users of ordered-darkness, and the majority of my protagonists are part of them.

But the Witherlord is controlling the Darkbeast. The Witherlord is the manifestation of chaotic darkness. He has influence over every chaotic dark entity.

Every mordite condenser stopped working.

*sigh* The Witherlord has no control over being that are of an equal or higher order. It can Influence them, yes, but control, no. Key difference. What is an Ennuller, and how is that relevant?

good thing the one whom we are calling Bob wasn't using one, and the sack was just a distraction.

The Namless Ends are deaths of universes. The Witherlord is the death of all universes.
