Thanks! I got a few more decent bird photos this evening at the park. There was a nice variety of ducks on the pond, but this guy took the cake--a male Wood Duck in his breeding colors! (2 photos)

So, there's this cute short girl at work. And I'm trying to figure out what I should do. Here are my thoughts:

I don't want to get into another relationship. 

She's cute. Maybe I could ask her to prom? But first it might be smart to actually ask for her phone number. 

Could it be that I'm projecting my lingering affection for my ex to another short girl? Or do I just have a thing for short girls? Should I do anything at all?

Thinking too much never helped anyone, I say banish all thought and see what your heart says. 

Ok, there's my useless advice quota filled. If you need someone to go to prom, ask her, build up to that by asking for her number. Keep an open heart and don't let the past weigh you down.

I'm with @Darkness_ on this one. If you like her ask for her number or ask to buy her lunch or something and see where it goes.

I agree, @Steeldancer, talk to her at work for a bit, then ask her for a coffee or something like that after work, get her number etc. Then, you can ask her to prom. Don't start with the prom, that would freak her out
