Voidus do you have any complaints to Borrower working with the MEC for a bit?

I don't but they probably would, I doubt many Epics would work with Borrower comfortably given Calamity's influence. Happy to discuss it though, would be a very interesting situation.

Yea, I see what you’re saying. I was thinking about hiding borrowers main ability, and just revealing his shapeshifting. This way he seems more like a minor epic, and the MEC wouldn’t be as worried.

I do not think the term was ever used in the books.

Possibly because they are very rare (assuming you don’t classify transference as a meta power, which I personally do).

Even including transference, it’s still rare in books. Including transference, there’s: Conflux, Prof, Calamity, and...? Is that it? A few more name dropped, probably.

Anyway, I edited my Red’s post. The shift didn’t feel natural.

Digzone, of course.

...and a rather large post for Taya is now up.

She (I hope) has an interesting story, and it takes a bit of doing to set the stage for her exploits in this RP. Hopefully the story is to your liking.

And now for something completely different.

If you're talking about Taya, she does have baggage that we haven't gotten to yet. (also, did I mention that Edmonton currently lacks any healer epics...)

Quietus though, I'll admit that he had a pretty boring and peaceful life before getting powers.

@Drake Marshall - Just so you know, I'm not sure if you had a healing epic in mind or not for helping Taya, but Skinsaver's abilities should be able to help her out, and he's coming to Edmonton.  It would also be a reason for our characters to bump into each other.

Yes, I noticed Skinsaver's abilities. He is possibly the only epic in Edmonton that could cure Taya (although, you are free to have Skinsaver refuse to help her, if you want to; I can write about either scenario). Taya might take issue with Skinsaver killing off a host to cure her (if she knew about it, anyway), but somehow I don't think she would mind at all if Skinsaver held on to the poison with the intention of weaponizing it.

In any case, she's definitely going to have reasons to interact with the Corvallis refugee group a fair bit.

Coma, how do you feel about me writing a death scene for Taylor then posting it in outside of canon? (It won't let me ping right now for some reason) I don't know why, I just want to for whatever reason.

Winter, I like your criticism. Not much else to say.

Well put, Winter. I really enjoy how people go out of their way to explore unusual character ideas in this, beyond the standard superhero package with a Calamitous twist. Going somewhere interesting with the foundation of the superhero genre, and the Reckoners canon. That is also one of the reasons I enjoyed Worm. I have high hopes for this RP. And I'm hoping I'll learn to be a better writer from it too.

If you have some out of canon stuff I’d definitely be down to have it posted.

@winter devotion I like how you set out your points.  Interesting thoughts.  I don’t 100% agree but totally understand where you are coming from and I liked reading it.

On the point of teleporters and meta powers, I know originally we tried to keep meta powers limited (after we learned they existed because before that we just didn’t use them) and we tried to cut back on teleporters after Book 3 came out, but we already had a lot.  I agree that teleportation and meta powers are fun, but I also think finding creative ways of working within the rules set by the books is part of the fun of these sorts of projects for me, so personally I kind of like limits.

I definitely agree that the RP has managed to take the world in fun new directions not  explored by the books and that is all kinds of fun.

Scribbler could maybe help her too.

That'd probably be a stretch for her at the moment, both abilities wise and also in giving her a motivation to help. She'd be more likely to interrogate Taya for Fume's location then try to kill him instead.

Trying to pick a nice entry location into the city proper for Scribbler at the moment, anyone interested in a meetup?

@winter devotion great post, I think that Reckoners handled the transition of media pretty well but I definitely agree on all the things that have made this RP great :)
