Mid-Range Game 16: War of the (Cosmere) Worlds

Well, I'm very afraid this will end with a Nalthis win, but I figure it's likely going to be one regardless of what I do. Elenion. Ecthelion. I don't see any reason to draw this out if El is what I think she is. :/ Which is a kill role.

Round Ten: The Final Three

This has been a topsy turvy game but it has certainly been entertaining.  This is Al Vron announcing the biggest game of the biggest sport of the Cosmere and beyond.  That’s right, it’s Sennti time.

22 combatants entered and only six remain. Who will fall and who will stand on top of the rubble pile.  Find out right here live.

T.B.D is surrounded.  No matter which way he turns, someone is there to block his escape.

I know some seasoned fans think that the glory days are behind them but this season can’t be ignored.  There have been some great twists and turns along the way and it only looks to get better.

There goes Elentari.  It took a bunch of them to drag her down.  Pretty good tactics out there.  If you take out the ace first you can take a breather and then worry about the little guys.  There’s a whole lot of extra pressure being on top of the pyramid and it looks like today she just couldn’t take it.

I hear one of the contestants has been trying crazy voodoo curses in order to win.  We will see if anyone can out mojo the voodoo.

Ryth the newly returned has returned to the grave.  Is it for the final time or will he rise again.

TBD - Ecthelion III has been lynched.  He was from Roshar.
Elentari - Elbereth has been killed.  She was from Nalthis.
Ryth - Silverblade has been killed.  He was from Sel.

Round Ten brings us another Lottery.
Two items are up for grabs today.

Flash Bang Grenade:  This one use grenade can be used to cancel the vote and action of one player.
Syphon:  This diabolical device can be used to drain one life from another player and add it to your own.  If the player targeted only has one life then this will kill that player.  (Contains one charge.)

Mandos crouched to the ground, a small semicircle of spirits gathering around in a reverent silence.

Elentari. No. It can't be you. Not now. Not this far.

He picked up a stone from under her head and flipped it, conjuring the mists of the next life. They failed to coalesce. Mandos tried again, but still nothing. Her spirit was still in transit. He would not be able to talk to her for a few days, until her spirit truly reformed from what it had temporarily become. Mandos sighed, defeated, and began a burial chant. It was not long, but it plodded along slowly, like the footsteps of a thousand ghostly pallbearers. After what felt like hours, Mandos stood and spoke the final words. As he intoned the final syllable, her body burst into flames. He reverently looked away, but found himself staring at the sky. The cold, foreboding sky. A storm was coming. And within himself he could feel a storm rising to meet it, until his emotions burst into a watery crescendo of their own.

After a few minutes, Mandos looked back. There was nothing left: the cremating fire had left no trace upon the rocks, except for a few strands of stray hair. She was gone. Mandos wiped his face with the sleeve of his torn jacket. He again looked out at the sky, the night, the storm. And then a new emotion surged up inside of him. Turning to the circle of spirits, he raised his hands and spoke a single word of power, which rippled out from him across the desolate plains. The mist grew stronger, darker, deeper. The spell returned to him in a flash of understanding, and Mandos shivered as he gave the command to his ghostly throng. They surged forward as one; angels of death gliding across the rocks of ruin.

Round Eleven: The Interview

22 contestants entered and now only three remain.  This is Al Vron bringing you the play by play in this action packed finale.  This is it folks, the final battle of the season.

Ialla.  Mandos.  Volke.  Those are our last three fighters.  Which if any will take the victory?  Find out right now.

There seems to be a lot of talking going on between Volke and Ialla.  Are they planning on taking out Mandos together?  Do they know that Mandos isn’t what he seems?  Do they even care at this point?

Ah, I see. Ialla is distracting Volke, probably so Mandos can get the drop on him.

And speaking of Mandos, there he is, just on the other side of the rubble pile that crushed the life out of Star Thief.  He’s slowly working his way around so he’s behind Volke.

Ooh.  You could hear Volke’s neck snap all the way up here.  Mandos seems to be shouting something.  I can barely make it out.  I think he’s yelling “Justice”.  Yep, he is.  I wonder why he’s yelling that?

That’s it, that’s it.  It’s all over, Mandos and Ialla are our winners.  What an upset.  Mandos and Ialla, two fresh faces to this region of the Cosmere and both walk away champs..  I haven’t seen such action since the 17th season where  Joe King and Terry Bill swept all in their path.  Surely the names of Ialla and Mandos will join some of the greats of Sennti like last years winner, Figgldygrak.

In just a moment we will go down and interview Mandos and Ialla so stay tuned Sennti fans.


Congratulations to Ialla, Mandos and Nalthis as a whole. Take a bow O' Champions of the Ruins.

Extra congratulations to Elenion for holding Cuddles at the end of the match.  Cuddles now belongs to you until either you give it to another or you are absent for six months or more, in which case, it is returned to the dusty cupboard to await the next Sennti games.

And a well done to Luckat for having the highest amount of Firemarks.  You are the Gambling Queen.

Mandos and his ghostly companions surged over the dark and rocky hills, bringing with them a gale of freezing wind and fog. The wind whipped their clothes around them, making their clothes flap like birds’ wings. As he ran, his mind began to wander.

Mandos stared at the rocky wall, holding the item he had won. A Plushie, emblazoned with the emblem of the 17th Shard. He brought the Plushie to his shoulder, ready to throw.

*******

 As one particularly strong gust of wind hit Mandos, he heard a ripping sound from behind him. He thought nothing of it and drifted off again.

*******

I must look so stupid doing this. But Mandos threw the Plushie, which struck the rock wall and ricocheted back at him, right as planned.

*******

A few gusts more and the tattered cloak that Mandos was wearing ripped free of its wearer’s neck and soared off in the wind, kept aloft by the freezing wind that the ghostly throng threw up in front of it.

*******

The Plushie hit him in a flash of light. Pain, joyous pain and a rush of power.

*******

Mandos looked down at his freed arms, grinning as he saw them glowing in the moonlight, glowing with the slivers he had gained that night. The same slivers that had given him the power to kill Joe, Conquestor, Stick, and Silverblade.

Well, I tried using the reviver on El. I guess it didn't work because the game ended?

Indeed.  El would've been revived at the start of this cycle but the game ended right before it so she remains dead.

Personally I was really hoping that Nyali was going to last minute vote for Len so he was lynched as Lopen was killed leaving her as the sole survivor.  But alas, it didn't happen.

I would have rooted for that as well, from a 'the coolest scenario' perspective, but I had to see Nalthis win.

I was tempted to kill Nyali as Lopen was lynched, but decided that keeping my word was the best option.

Anyways, thanks for the awesome game Alv! And good call about not reviving El. My vengeance for Stick's murder was carried out! XD

Heh, that was kinda the idea.  Everyone wanted Cuddles but getting it just meant you had a target on your back.   Despite that, no one was lynched holding Cuddles.   Came close though.

Who had Cuddles before this game?

Cuddles was created in LG4 by the Pahn Kahl, a team consisting of myself, Jason Penguin, Tulir, El Warko, Aspren, and Joe. Peng held the sword. Unfortunately, before we could even use it, it was stolen by Dainard and used to kill Aspren and Tulir (I was also killed by it, but that was flavor because I was actually lynched). Dainard never played a game after LG4, so Alv claims that he found it in a dusty cupboard, even though Original Wilson had been in the sword and was (somehow) extracted out of it by Nale (who she used to work for....sort of).

Which leads me to my next question. Len, can I have Cuddles? I helped create it, I didn't reveal your kill when all strategic sense should've led me to at least tell my teammates about it, and I formed the ASA, which is the only reason Nalthis won. I'd like Cuddles as payment. Do you accept?

Your loyalty to the secret was something I would not have trusted even myself to have, and you paid the cost for it in both player death and team loss. You may have the sword.
