The subject was heat. It... was an interesting experience. And it was hot upon the sandy beach, the sun's strong beams shine on the empty shore. Soft waves crash in an everlasting reach. I wish the sun would shine forever more. Thy heat is like a pin pricked in my side, the sharp end point spreads poison through my soul. My heart sinks with the ever-changing tide. I now begin to think that love is dull. Jakolby's politics are getting heat, throwing shade as dank as roaring flame. He may think his views are turn't and elite, but #feelthebern's a choo-choo train. Although my passions lack the heat of flame, truth is, this Utah weather is to blame! I am utterly convinced that retrofutirism will be a thing in the future. Think about it, you are a fashion designer in 2153, you need something to be the next big thing, but what? Oh, look at all these silly things the people back in the mid 1900s thought we would wear! Lets go with that. 1

Zathoth Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Hey morzathoth, where does your Profile Picture come from? An old manga called Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Its my favorite. To summarize 25 years of serialization it is about the bizarre adventures of the Joestar family, all who have a name which can be shortened to Jojo (exactly what it says in the title XD). It has a kind of Mistborn structure, like the eras. Each 'Part' is about a different 'Jojo' and is mostly a self contained story (even if having read the previous parts greatly helps, like you dont need to have read era 1 to enjoy The Alloy of Law, but you should) and whatever weird, horrible things that happens to them. My avatar is Hikashikata Josuke, the 'Jojo' of part 4. (Apparently the kanji for 'suke' can be read as 'jo', dont ask me, I dont know japanese) I would recommend watching through the anime, it is awesome. Part 4 starts in a couple weeks (The manga is up to part 8) Questions?

Young Bard he/him Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 It's annoying when you have to sit through a class in which the teacher has no idea what they're talking about and yet tries to pretend they do anyway. I just sat through a lesson in which the teacher essentially tried to feed us a formula for making a creative writing piece. You don't have a formula for creative writing! You can't say that this, this, and this must happen! If you limit it as severely as you do, then it stop's being creative writing. Particularly since in the last assignment task for creative writing, this same teacher marked it and I got full marks for that component, and I quite literally broke about every rule except one in that task. Then there's the elitism that popular fiction can't also count as 'true literature', which annoys me to no end. 1

You mustn't tell the reader the point you're trying to make however, but instead must try to bamboozle them by talking about something completely different so that any meaning they take out of it will probably be completely different to the point you meant to make was anyway. I might have paraphrased slightly. There's more as well, but I'd stopped taking notes by this stage except for points I genuinely considered to be valid (which were few and far between, unfortunately).
