TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Quick someone post a random internet picture to cheer me up! Here's Captain Pugmerica! 1
The Invested Beard Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 (edited) Ah yes thank you. Like a salve of inanity. Here's Captain Pugmerica! So I'm not sure but I think that depressed me more. It's the thought that counts though so thank you. Edited February 22, 2016 by The Invested Beard
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 So I'm not sure but I think that depressed me more. It's the thought that counts though so thank you. How is that possible? Ummm…. 3
The Invested Beard Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 How is that possible? Ummm…. Thinking about whoever owns that dog stuffing it into that costume and...well something that I can't really put into words. Dogs in costumes make me uncomfortable for no good reason. Also I think the last pic link is broken. By the title I think I would enjoy it though.

If it helps, I've lived with pugs since I was a teen and I can say that they love costumes. On Halloween this past year, we got a bumblebee costume for our girl pug, Mollie. The first time we tried taking it off of her, she cried; and the second time, she threw a fit until we put it back on. Every time I make a new scarf for Bruno, he'll prance around and show it off to everyone.

Like I said, no good reason. Some kind of subconscious higgledy-piggledy.

Like I said, no good reason. Some kind of subconscious higgledy-piggledy. No, I totally understand. There are some things that just make me sad for no reason I can tell. Also, Reckoners RPers might notice a cameo in the latest chapter of my Potterfic.
Kobold King he/him Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Also, Reckoners RPers might notice a cameo in the latest chapter of my Potterfic. I can't believe I didn't catch that. Seriously, how did I not notice that?
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 I can't believe I didn't catch that. Seriously, how did I not notice that? Because I hid it well, like the ninja I am?
Kobold King he/him Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Because I hid it well, like the ninja I am? Oddly enough though, as soon as you said it I was able to immediately get who it was without checking back. Definitely the best kind of cameo. 1
Zathoth Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 So can I just say being really sick as a married person with 3 kids is way way way crappier than when you're single or even married with no kids? Last week my 6 year old daughter comes down with a nasty virus. Wife and I think okay let's try and quarantine this. Yeah that totally worked. Wednesday night I come down with it. Nasty fever, body aches, chills and then over the course of a couple days turns into what feels like bronchitis. So I'm out of commission on Thursday, wife is trying to keep up with two sickies now. Thursday night, wife and 3 year old son get it. So now it's two sick adults trying to take care of two sick kids and a healthy 9 month old all weekend. Last night, 9 month old gets his fever. I'm at the tail end, still feeling crappy but back at work. Daughter is mostly better but still working on ear infection from the virus with antibiotics, 3 year old son still sick as a dog, wife still sick and developing a sinus infection because of the thing. Baby miserable. Good Lord I hate this. Rant over, sorry. *Adds this to list of reasons why I am not getting married or having children* Oh yeah totally I'm not saying it's inhumane or anything. I think it's just the combination of pug + costume. Like I said, no good reason. Some kind of subconscious higgledy-piggledy. My bearded fellow I am sure you mean huggedly-puggedly That does sound awful. And I just realized: Either I'm getting too old to appreciate new internet memes, or internet memes are getting stupider. I am four years younger than you. Memes have always been stupid. The entire formula is stupid. I am not saying that I havent chuckled at a few, because I have, but they have still been stupid. So option number 3, I guess.
Orlion Blight he/him Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Memes only work if you share in the joy. Kinda like how I used to quote Simpson's quotes all the time because me and my friends enjoy them. Whereas a lot of these "so bad they're good" garbage like that Friday song confuse me. Why spend so much effort on something you know is bad?
The Invested Beard Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 *Adds this to list of reasons why I am not getting married or having children* My bearded fellow I am sure you mean huggedly-puggedly Ah yes. Much more appropriate. 1
The Invested Beard Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 And now, a random beat poem I wrote a looooong time ago about an ex. Because I'm bored and reasons. It is titled: She Must Be an Onion. She must be an onion Though she has no leaves of white I don't find her repugnant Her breath does not have bite She's not in soup She's odorless And onions don't have an adress But she must be an onion For when she passes by My eyes begin to fill with tears And I begin to cry. Thank you. 4

The Invested Beard Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Conclusion: Beardspren form the order of the Poembringers. I have written many. Maybe I'll start a poetry thread for those so inclined if there isn't one already.
Orlion Blight he/him Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 My cat is happily gnawing on my arm. Tonight is a good night.

Why spend so much effort on something you know is bad? The only thing good about "Friday" is that it is clearly destined to be parodied into "Pi Day" 2

Mistrunner Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Me normally: *slowly peels foil off paper of gum wrapper* *painstakingly organizes pennies by luster* *checks dates on coins to see if they're from before 1960* *reads for seven hours straight* *sweats over code for an hour trying to find the mistake* *carefully reshapes candy wrappers to look like there's candy still inside* Me writing essays: "Focus, what's that?" Thank you, brain, for being such a fickle beastie. Hey, it's raining out! Gotta go, I need to watch the drops on the window race. 3

Silverblade5 he/him Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 what you mean accidentals carrying through the measure or the key signature or what I think she means carrying through the measure.
