Because you have left your comfort zone, doesn't it feel great? :) I hope she says yes! :)

Your comfort zone is what will get you killed the fastest.

I say you are finally living @Erunion:P

So, I just did something I've been hemming and hawing about for the last two weeks - I asked a girl out, sorta - asked a girl if she wanted to meet up. We met years ago, and I had a crush on her then but nothing came of it. We chatted a bit around her birthday this year, and met at an event a couple of weeks ago. She gave me a hug!!! but we both had to go and didn't have time to catch up properly. So I just asked her if she wants to meet up.
Why is my heart beating this fast storm it.

I dunno, even if nothing comes of it - at least I was brave. It's good to be brave. Right? Right??

Yes! Bravery is wonderful! Well done!

Well, it just sounds like you really like her, and if this is something new that you two haven't done before, of course you're going to be nervous. But don't worry, everything will he just fine. All you need to do is act confident.

Yes, I am way, way out of my comfort zone. I have somehow gone through 24 years, a four year relationship and somehow this is only the second time I've asked a girl out like this.

Nervous levels are through the roof.

I really should have waited until after my final exam today - good luck to me on studying now orz.

@ErunionI believe you'll do fine :) this is a positive form of stress, it can help you out actually :)

I definitely feel the Sam Gamgee vibe here - after fighting his way through mordor, throwing the ring into the fire, fighting Saruman's flunkies in the Shire/etc., asking Rosie Cotton out was 'the bravest thing he ever did'

HELP!!

So, there's a guy I have a crush on at school (so surprising). It's complicated, though. His mom did a teacher at the school we go to (she's the really nice teacher everyone loves) and I hang out in her classroom and run copies and grade papers for her. My problem is I really can't tell if he likes me back. We have been friends a long time (the crush is a recent development) and eat lunch together. Recently, he gave me a cupcake and I have no rusting idea what to do. So again HELP!!

Well, first of all, I'm confused. Is his mom a teacher at the school, or did she do a teacher at the school? I'm inclined to believe it's the former, but there's a very big distinction.

Anyway, I honestly can't tell what you should do, based on just what you said in the post. Could you explain the situation more? A guy giving a girl a cupcake doesn't necessarily means he likes her (unless she's the only girl he gave a cupcake to), and you haven't really told us much.

Yes there is >>

Well, what you need first is a rope. A good strong one. Then you're going to tie him up and tell him, "Want some of my cupcakes?"

No you're not and I'm a storming weirdo XD

Anyway. I reckon you should pay attention to the way he behaves around you, clearly he likes you, you'll need to wait and see I'm afraid whether he has a crush on you as well. But should you ask him out, well, there is a massive chance he's going to say yes. Is there like a formal or some form of event happening soon (or later)? Ask him out to some sort of event you're sure he'll enjoy.

@Darkness Ascendant, I think that's a good idea, I just have serious anxiety issues and even thinking about that is making my heart rate go higher than it should, but I will try. (There's actually a Dance coming up on Thursday).

@StrikerEZ his mom is a teacher at my school (sausage fingers and autocorrect don't mix). And I was the only girl he gave the cupcake to, and he blushed and kind of ran off afterwards.

Hmmm... that's a pretty strong sign that he likes you.

Depending on your age it's pretty strong to hard-as-diamond evidence he does.
