I'm younger than you and I refuse...refuse!...to get an ebook in any of its forms...be it for first or subsequent readings, home or travel, give me books or give me ramen noodles! (Which would almost certainly lead to death)

I grab the ebook versions for two specific reasons

1) Gives more money to the authors and publishers I love

2) Searching. I can actually search for information

2.5) And within searching, books that have Kindle X-Ray enabled are just awesome. I love X-Ray. Seriously, give it a shot with WoK or WoR at some point, and learn how your old searching methods are worthless! MWUAHAHAHAHA!

But yeah, I never actually read my ebooks...

Hmm :P I went to get Bands of Mourning after work and now I'll start reading it. :) And yes, I'm telling

you that because I'm mean and feel some malicious joy to see that some Americans didn't get it yet while I

already got it. :P

I'll probably have to wait until tomorrow *sob! Woe is me!*

I was able to get Firefight early but not Shadows of Self.

I also think the City of Stairs sequel is out this week, so... squeeee!*

I've had two interviews in the past month, with another in the works.

And I'm having a hard time believing I'm ever going to get a job.

That's the brain weasels talking.  Don't listen to them!

Heh.  I do have a Kindle, and I use it for some things, but not for others.  My Cosmere books and my Dresden Files - those need to be real books or it doesn't count.

Embrace your emotions! Come to the nerd side!

I also much prefer physical books. I've read a couple books on kindle but it's just so much harder to keep going back to it for some odd reason. Short stories published on the internet I can handle, I guess that goes into a different part of my brain or something? "Internet" and not "fiction"? Maybe?

  she keeps using that word. I dont think she knows what "tolerant" means.

I looked it up. Nowhere does the definition say "saves up resentment over past incidents and overreacts to them when they feel they need to let off some steam."

Gah, I can't believe I used to think she was the perfect mother. <_<

Well, she would make a perfect generic evil step mother, so that is not too wrong.

Yeah….she really would.

I'm basing a villain on her, so there you go.

Are we your good magical fairy mothers? ... are you Cintwirella now? That didnt work... TwiLyght and the Seventeen Shards... a lot better...

You should, and make her fail terribly

"You need to be more sorry"

Well gee sorry my emotions don't quite add up to what you'd like them to be. Guess you can blame my parents for that.

Seriously that would be a wonderful/terrible line for you to throw at her. "It must be the result of bad parenting"

I will train up a pony brigade to free the Land from the tyranny of Twimom!

And the upvote quota hits now….<_<

But yeah. Bruce pees on her stuff, and I don't care. I know that's not a very moral thing to say, but I don't care. I just don't. And the more she scolds me, the less I care. If my emotions here were measured in storms I gave, I'd be in the negatives right now.

That should be nice and cathartic.  :D

Two weeks.  That's all it took.  Two weeks of being off-project, and other people have left my widget room a disaster!

(OK, it's not that bad.  I'm mostly annoyed because people moved stuff around and unplugged everything at my workstation.  But.  There are bits of Styrofoam peanuts everywhere and it's driving me nuts.)

And my radio flips over to "Shut Up And Smile."  Thanks, Bowling for Soup, for telling me what I needed to hear.
