One of these days I'll get around to reading Sorting Hat Chats. -_-

Also, Scrivener and Scapple: a good investment?

Slytherclaws of the world unite!!

Also, Slytherclaws of the thread unite. We can probably take over on one of the slow days.  :P

Wouldn't be too hard.

I think between the three of us we've got a good shot right now.

Is that a call to strike?

Knowing us?  "Striking" would just involve us dancing around gleefully declaring how awesome we are, and then turning the thread into a ball pit.

Sounds like a takeover to me. :P

An awesome takeover that will fill the thread with fun!  How could anyone object?  Someone turn on the bubble machine!

*brings out a bubble machine AND a soda machine and turns both on*

LET THE SLYTHERCLAW TAKEOVER BEGIN!!

Im really just trying to find an excuse to post this picture so here you have it.

I sent this to my siblings. Apparently, the Red Cross had called my sister just two hours before, begging her to donate her precious O-negative blood.

The timing was perfect.

Our University cancelled classes due to "dangerous conditions" (us Georgians really need to learn to handle snow/ice better). This was pretty much my day:

I woke up, and my roommate told me that classes were cancelled for today. I thought, Sweet! I can use this time responsibly and catch up on some of the work that I've missed!

I then proceeded to wander about in the snow for four hours. By the time I got back, my hands and feet were freezing, so I took a nice shower. Alright, I thought, Fun time is over. Time to get this work done. So, of course, I took a nap.

I woke up an hour or so later when my roommate busted into our room saying how there was about to be a huge snowball fight in a field nearby, so I continued to put of my work (Can you blame me though? It's a giant snowball fight!). The work remains undone to this moment, and it's looking like it's going to remain that way for some time longer. I know this is a terrible idea, but I'm kind of banking on classes being cancelled tomorrow too

The Red Cross doesn't give half a fig about my sad A-positive vitae.  Which is fine by me, 'cause they can't have it.   (At least, not until they find a way to use needles that aren't larger than my rusting veins.)

Kaymyth I also want to read your work and vote for serialised. :)

It's coming out pretty unanimous then.  Serialized it is!  It'll take a little under two months to do that way, assuming a Mon-Wed-Fri update schedule.

I didn't weigh enough in high school to donate, so they still don't know about my O-negative blood. (It's kind of weird, but everyone in my immediate family has the same blood type.)

And then her blood shall rain from the heavens and the blood shall rule! Or something like that.

You know what you are going to regret when you are old? All the time you spent studying instead of joining snowball fights. Fight on brave Patar!

I have never been more inspired to not do my work in my entire life.

In all seriousness though, no matter how well I do on this assignment, I'm not going to regret putting it off. I had the time of my life just messing around in the snow. As you said, I'm not going to remember studying, I'm going to remember the times I went exploring in caves, had a shopping cart jousting tournament, or had a giant snowball fight with dozens of other people. I'd take something like that over studying any day.

Of course you should study, As much as you need that to do whatever it is you want to do, but in the end having fun is what is important.

But really, some lessons are so pointless you will learn more messing around in the snow, like tactics and stuff, very useful.

And I forgot something very important my last post...

You know what's disconcerting? To be happily reading a book published in the 1930s, enjoying it, taking in all of its cool concepts, and then coming to a chapter that cheerfully describes eugenics as the path to a better future.
