+Slowswift Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 You, being from Australia, are the only person I have to worry about actually making it through the Sonoran Desert. Few other people on this forum have experience with the sort of frightening landscapes Arizona and Australia deal in. Edit: How was it depressing, Slowswift? You're certainly safe from me. I can't stand the heat. It was limp, floppy, half flavorless, and, worst of all, had chunks of what appeared to be cardboard in three of them.

+Slowswift Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Sad. As someone who loves ravioli, I know a bad one can sour your whole day. Though I've always wanted to try making my own…. Homemade ravioli are delicious.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Homemade ravioli are delicious. I want to try and replicate the spicy fried ravioli at a restaurant here. They toss their ravioli in spices before frying, but they also add a pinch of pepper—I think it's cayenne, though they might also use red chile—to the cheese mixture. They are fabulous. 1

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Oooh, that does sound good... They're fantastic. I've often considered ordering some just for the heck of it, but I always talk myself out of it for some reason.
+Slowswift Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 They're fantastic. I've often considered ordering some just for the heck of it, but I always talk myself out of it for some reason. So don't order for the heck of it, order it because you're hungry. 6

Kaymyth she/her Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Smallish city in southeast Washington. Though at least people who've watched Arthur on PBS have heard the name. Nobody outside of Washington knows what or where Wenatchee is. I...I've heard of Wenatchee before. I've heard of a lot of oddball towns in the US and Canada thanks to work. 1

Young Bard he/him Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Does it say Gorlan behind that Christmas Tree? Any other Rangers Apprentice fans around here? 1
Elbereth she/her Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Oooh! Me! Me! I like Ranger's Apprentice a lot. At least, some of them. A few of the books I'm not so fond of, particularly the third. But they're very good, and it's been far too long since I read them.
Voidus Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Does it say Gorlan behind that Christmas Tree? Any other Rangers Apprentice fans around here? That's probably 'Garland' Sort of? I read the first 4 or 5 then got absorbed into something else so I never read beyond that. Book 1 was pretty awesome though.
Young Bard he/him Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Completely switching topics, because YOLO. 4

Delightful Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Loved the Rangers apparentice! Not the later books, they got a bit annoying when Will was a full ranger and still tagging along with Halt. (That was his name right? I'm thinking Hoid). So I just visited the Jordan where apparently Jesus was baptised. I took some pictures for the Christians among us, I'll see if I can upload them later if y'all are interested. 1
