Zathoth Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Oh man, my entire town has been in the dumps all day. We've been on a huge winning streak and were one game from making to state. We lost, and to a team with no respect and cheated the entire time. But the refs hate us, so they didn't care. http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/46737-lord-morzathoths-collection-of-oddities/?p=371383 While I am not quite sure how terrifying you is going to make you feel better I wrote this o.o
+Slowswift Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 (edited) Mars is going to get rings! One of its moons is going to collide with the planet, get crushed to dust, and form rings! ...in several million years. Oh, well, until then I guess I can geek out over the fact that 1) all the terrestrial planets do, in fact, have water in some form on them and 2) there is, in fact, a giant cloud of water just chillin' next to a black hole. ThirdGen Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Stock photo, stock image, stereotype. It's a straight-line. Isn't a Mormon a dude whose bottom half is a fish? 2

Fusion in Germany? That's my geek-out subject at the moment. Also a map of the epigenome of wheat but that's way less interesting to most people than it is to me. You kind of have to be a molecular biology student in Australia to get excited about advancements in wheat genetics. 1
Edgedancer he/him Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Is there some sort of website you can go to where you ask "Will I jump the shark with this next scene I'm writing?" and the answer will always be no? Because I'd like one. Don't jump the shark, ride it. Ride it into the infinite space that is insanity and tame it to your will. Then one day you will have the means to write a story who's rule is being able to overrule itself. 2

Wait, Mercury has water? Venus has water?
Voidus Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Wait, Mercury has water? Venus has water? Not liquid water probably but water vapor on Venus and maybe some on Mercury? Not sure.
Orlion Blight he/him Posted December 13, 2015 Author Posted December 13, 2015 Not liquid water probably but water vapor on Venus and maybe some on Mercury? Not sure. I know Venus had sulfuric acid, but I'd be very surprised if Mercury had some sort of water.
Voidus Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 I know Venus had sulfuric acid, but I'd be very surprised if Mercury had some sort of water. To just freak everyone out for a moment Mercury may have water not as a liquid and also not as a vapor but it might have it as ice...

Voidus Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Silence, our ice giant overlords do not want to be disturbed on their vacation home. Well it could only possibly be found in the deepest shadows of a crater on one of the poles so not the best vacation I've ever heard of 1
Haelbarde he/him Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 So I was buying myself a frozen sherbet drink from Hungry Jacks, and as I'm driving out, I notice something awesome. One of the cars had, around the edges of its rear windscreen, stickers of the allomantic symbols of the 16 metals. Unfortunately, I had driven off and entered the main road when the owner walked to and entered the car, otherwise I'd have said hi. If you're an Australian sharder with allomantic stickers on the back of your silver vehicle, you, sir, are awesome. 4

I'm an Australian Sharder who was just at Hungry Jacks but alas no allomantic stickers. Though I shall now Invest in some.

I was hoping it might have been you. I was pretty sure we live in the same state, but beyond that I wasn't sure which side of the city you were to know if it was at all likely you were the culprit. Also, I just (re)discovered that Delightful was a fellow Australian.

Actually, I'll try and restart the Sharder Location thing. That was really interesting. Such a shame it bombed out. I'll do it tomorrow.
