Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Storm it! Odium's great and all(I'd know, having held the Shard before), but it's Dalinar "Blackthorn" Kholin. If any non-Shard has a chance of defeating Odium, it's that man.
Moonskin she/her Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I vote for Dalinar as well, prretty much for the same reason than above. (And because I love this character and I just cannot vote against him. We alread lost Adolin, surely we must have a representative of the Kholin family in the next rounds )
Kaladin al'Thor Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Odium. Imo our champion will be kaladin. Unless adolin revives his blade and becomes an edgedancer, then it will be him.
Patar he/him Posted October 16, 2015 Author Posted October 16, 2015 Sooooo, we have a tie. I honestly have no idea what we should do. I can chose the winner randomly if you'd all like, but I kinda feel like there is a better way to do this. Suggestions?
Alfa he/him Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Ehm, Dalinar picks up the Odium Shard?Or you can keep this open one more day, hoping the tie to be solved.
Edgedancer he/him Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Sooooo, we have a tie. I honestly have no idea what we should do. I can chose the winner randomly if you'd all like, but I kinda feel like there is a better way to do this. Suggestions? Well I can't really think of anything more fair than chance at this point... or I guess you could pm a random person that has voted on the tournament, so knows what it is about, but not on this round. Then again one could argue that with how this discussions tended to go on power levels that having a Shard would kind of turn this into a forgone conclusion (with only Nightblood standing a chance) but that's your call.
Unodus he/him Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 (edited) Have Dalinar and Odium team up! Together, they are beyond the lowly abstractions of Anger and Glory- they ascend into mediums of Divine Retribution. The Swords of Repentance, The Storms of Justice.... o.o Edited October 16, 2015 by Unodus
Kaladin al'Thor Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Have someone assign 1 & 2 to dalinar and odium and have them PM someone there answer, then you pick 1 or 2.
DreamEternal Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Dalinar becomes Odium, of course! It is all being set up, with hints of his darker nature and despotic aims.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Odium disbelieves in Odium? Shouldn't you just vote Odium on principle? Probably, but the fact that I'm voting against Odium should mean that Odium loses. Even Odium thinks Dalinar will win.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I'll have to cast my vote for Dalinar. I mean, seriously. Lord of Hatred vs. a guy who pummeled a chasmfiend at an age when most Americans would be joining the AARP? No contest. Dalinar. 1
Patar he/him Posted October 16, 2015 Author Posted October 16, 2015 And the winner is Dalinar in what is the closest match yet! Up next is Spook vs. Marasi.
Alfa he/him Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Marasi, I think. Spook, as long as he was Spook (and not the Lord Mistborn), had pretty bad combat skills. Marasi, on the other hand, had a gun and knew how to use it.
Patar he/him Posted October 16, 2015 Author Posted October 16, 2015 (edited) I wouldnt say he has bad combat skills. Even as just a tineye, he proved that he could at least fend off a handful of guards for a little while. Edited October 16, 2015 by patar365
Alfa he/him Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Still, no match for a good shot with a repeating rifle.
Jozomby he/him Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Well, there's 3 different Spook's to consider. Spook the tineye, Spook with the spike, and Spook the Lord Mistborn. I think Marasi would beat normal Spook, but the other two would beat Marasi, so my vote goes to Spook. Especially since a lot of our time with Spook is when he's spiked.
Unodus he/him Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I vote Spook, he's one of my most favorite character, especially because of the period where he became a savant.
Alvron Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Spook. Marasi would be too overwhelmed meeting Lord Mistborn to fight effectively if at all. 1
Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Spook. As a savant, even without the spike, I think he could handle himself pretty well. Plus, what Alv said. She'd be blushing too much.
natc Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 If Spook the Tin Savant gets to have prior knowledge of firearms and how people use them, he'd actually have the best chance out of everyone other than atium users and steelrunners of dodging Marasi's bullets. It's all in where the rifleman (or woman) is sighting before pulling the trigger . . . If he had his spike he'd just take the shot and reach her before he gets hurt too badly.
RippleGylf she/her Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Definitely Spook. One does not simply beat the Lord Mistborn.
Patar he/him Posted October 17, 2015 Author Posted October 17, 2015 No need to tally this one, Spook cleared house. Up next, a match I'm sure many of you have been waiting for, Wayne vs. Shai!
