Bort he/him Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Nice Twilyght, although this time I do have to criticize one thing... Too many pugs. Not enough cats.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 19, 2015 Author Posted October 19, 2015 Nice Twilyght, although this time I do have to criticize one thing... Too many pugs. Not enough cats. You can NEVER have too many pugs. NEVER 3
The Sovereign Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 You can NEVER have too many pugs. NEVER The hypothesis is confirmed. 5
Bort he/him Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) It's like a scene from a nightmare. The pugs... The pugs are coming!!! And when you have zero images of cats, and several of pugs, then you can definitely have too many pugs. Edited October 19, 2015 by Bort 1
Orlion Blight he/him Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I don't know... not enough cats! 1
Orlion Blight he/him Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) Drats, the system tricked me into double posting! Edited October 19, 2015 by Orlion
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 19, 2015 Author Posted October 19, 2015 I had one cat. For this installment, I felt pugs could convey Vin's sense of sorrow and hopelessness better than cats could. I prefer to use cat memes to convey mischief, suspicion, or just a devil-may-care attitude. I do like pugs more than cats (though this is due in part to allergies) but my decision to use more pugs than cats here was an artistic choice, more than a prejudice toward one type of furry creature. 4
Bort he/him Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Apologies, you did have one cat. And if your pug bias is due to (well reasoned) artistic choice, then I can forgive you. 3

RippleGylf she/her Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Seeing as my part of Memelantris won't continue anytime soon, is there any interest for The Memematist? Since I actually own that one, this kind of problem won't pop up again.
bookspren Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 The Memematist sounds great. More memes, please.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Twi, are we ever going to get the rest of Memeborn: The Final Meme?
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 28, 2015 Author Posted October 28, 2015 Twi, are we ever going to get the rest of Memeborn: The Final Meme? Of course! I'll meme it through to the end. I've just been dealing with some RL issues lately that haven't put me in much of a memeing mood, but I'll try and have the next installment up soon. 2
Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Perfect! Just wanted to make sure. Thanks!
RippleGylf she/her Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 And now, I present to you, Part 1 of the Memematist With the prologue, we get a nice, happy introduction to the United Isles. As we begin the non-prologue section of the book, we see Joel get really hyped up about old duels. After explaining how wonderful it was, Joel gets rejected. After rejection, Joel leaves to go spy on the Rithmatic classes to deliver a message. Looking around the classroom, Joel is appalled by the lazy behavior of the students. The class is interrupted by a challenger. Of course, Fitch loses his tenure, and his coat. Disclaimer: the above image may or may not be entirely accurate. Due to this sudden development, Joel is unable to make the delivery. 11
Popular Post TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted November 7, 2015 Author Popular Post Posted November 7, 2015 All righty, everyone, here is the next installment of Memeborn. Apologies for the delay and shortness of this one; I wasn't in a memeing mood there for a while. We pick up with Camon and his crew, celebrating in their safe house. Vin is not so sure they have cause to rejoice. Vin doesn't have friends in the underworld. Still, Ulef is the closest thing to a friend she knows, so she takes a risk and decides to trust him, letting him know they need to flee before the obligators arrive. Rather than asking Vin why she's planning to leave, a course of action that could possibly preserve his backside for another day, Camon decides Vin is the problem here. Despite Vin's attempts to calm him, Camon comes after her, beating her mercilessly. There's no escape; Vin sees the darkness in his eyes and knows he doesn't intend to let her live—but then…. After deposing Camon and shooing away the rest of his crew, Kelsier and Dockson invite Vin to sit with them, offering her something to drink and treating her kindly. Vin's life philosophy does not allow her to easily accept this. After some encouragement, Vin agrees to a few tests that prove something incredible. Shortly thereafter, Kelsier calls a meeting with Camon's former crew and some of his own acquaintances. Many of Camon's former crew members try to get close to her, but Vin is hesitant. Nonetheless, she hears them discuss Mistings and Mistborn. Then Kelsier arrives, and she watches Breeze and the others greet him. Kelsier calls the meeting to order and announces his plans: Topple the Final Empire. Yeden, among others, point out obvious problems with this plan. Kelsier, however, has a few useful secrets. Clubs decides that this whole business is madness and leaves. Vin is unable to believe Kelsier just lets him go. Yeden, however, is more suspicious of Kelsier's claim that Vin is Mistborn. Kelsier gives no indication that he is anything but serious about killing the Lord Ruler and toppling his Empire, leading Vin to a disturbing realization. 27
Young Bard he/him Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 I just binge read the entire thing! This is amazing! 1
Boongeebee Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 I love this thread and look forward to many more posts!
Young Bard he/him Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 I hate to ask, but what happened to this? Did people forget about it?
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted March 22, 2016 Author Posted March 22, 2016 I hate to ask, but what happened to this? Did people forget about it? I kind of lost my mojo with all of the stress of job hunting, and the site I'd been using to host my memes was deactivated, and then I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue with Memeborn or not. If people think I should, though, then I will. 2
Delightful Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 I for one would love more memes, if you're up for it. 2
Sand Master Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 I don't want to do anything against social protocol (from what I've been able to tell, once a thread is dead you're not supposed to post on it again?) but I also didn't want to make an entire new thread for something that already exists. So here's what I'm thinking: a lot of people have talked about doing Memebreaker here, and I have been wanting to reread Warbreaker anyway. If nobody has a problem with it, I'd be interested in posting for Memebreaker.
Sunbird she/her Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 @Sand Master I'm all for reviving this thread. We've got kind of a similar thing going in the RP forum for the Reckoners RPG, which was brought on partly because I was missing the hilarity of this topic.
Grey Knight Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Yes! Necromancy is always fun! And memes. Memes are good. The book memes always were the best. 1
marsoupial they/them Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 (edited) I only just now found this thread... now I know why Twi is God Beyond. Besides that she's totally awesome. May I partake in the meme-y-ness, Eldritch Queen of Pugs? EDIT: I'd be glad to complete "The Final Memepire" for you, and the sequals, the "The Meme of Ascension" and "The Meme-o of Ages" Edited October 4, 2016 by bleeder
