I just came across this and I am interested. When are you guys getting together?

Since Kandra are simply a pile of muscles, tissue and brain matter they don't need a circulatory system. So, do they have a beating heart? It's a muscle, so they could make one and have it beat, but I wonder if they typically do. I don't remember one bleeding either. If not it's a good way to find them. Your thoughts?

Boongeebee replied to Thealps's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
I'd join that group! -
And... BOOM!
Boongeebee replied to Green Hoodie Mistborn's topic in Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians
Yeah!!! -
I was a little confused by question 2 of the Elantris one.

Are the city Skaa leased? I believe they got paid. Not enough to actually accumulate wealth, but they seemed slightly better off than the plantation Skaa. They were not kept track of like plantation skaa. How else could the crew walk around without being conscripted?

Thanks! Possibly, but not every house in the Final Empire had Atium. Kelsier asks Dockson who to raid for Atium in early in Mistborn: The Final Empire, so not all houses had a stash. Also, if you don't have a mistborn or need to hire a kandra, why would you keep some on hand?

I thought there must be taxes, after all what government doesn't tax it's people. Thanks for the info! I am running a MAG campaign where the crew is trying to topple a great house. I was trying to think of secrets the house could have that would be damaging. I figured doing something against the Steel Ministry would fit the bill, but no tax evasion with no taxes and I couldn't remember taxes mentioned in the books.

How does the Steel Ministry support itself? It has been a little while since I read the books, but I don't remember any taxes. I remember only a few ways the Ministry gets money 1. The nobility pays Obligators to witness things, but that seemed to go to the individual Obligator and didn't seem to be that much money. 2. The plantation nobility also leased the Skaa, but that doesn't seem to be enough to support a government. Especially with all the "special" projects done by the Lord Ruler. 3. Atium. Again doesn't seem to make enough money for an entire government.

The Nature of Allomancy as it relates to AonDor
Boongeebee replied to tobar14's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think the two systems are fundamentally different. AonDor seems to affect mostly external things and Allomancy seems to affect mostly internal things. It is an interesting theory though. -
The Nature of Allomancy as it relates to AonDor
Boongeebee replied to tobar14's topic in Cosmere Discussion
So, your theory suggests that someone who has snapped would only need to have a model of a pewter (or any other allomantic metal) molecule and channel preservation through it in order to gain the benefits of said metal? -
The Nature of Allomancy as it relates to AonDor
Boongeebee replied to tobar14's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I always believed that the metal needed to be in their stomach in order to "burn" it. I wonder if it has something to do with metals inside someone else being hard to affect with allomancy. I suppose that maybe it's a force of will to "burn" a metal and the location doesn't matter. If so, what happens when two allomancers try to "burn" the same piece of metal outside of their body? -
My favorite is from history too. Also from the Spartans, they must have been good at smack talk. At the Battle of Thermopylae when Leonidas was told by Xerxes, "We will darken the sky with our arrows!" Leonidas responded,"They we will fight in the shade." Pure ancient awesomeness!

Why did TLR pierce the Atium bracer through his skin?
Boongeebee replied to Red Ferring's topic in Mistborn
I don't think Metalminds need to be outside the body to charge. When Sazed was fighting Marsh, he tapped the rings that were embedded in him with no trouble. I don't think that charging would be any different. -
Duel to the Death: Vin and Shallan vs. Kaladin and Wayne
Boongeebee replied to Turos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think it's Vin and Shallan by a hair. Vin and Kaladin would be the tanks with Shallan and Wayne as support. With both Wayne and Kaladin being able to heal I would give it to them, but I'm assuming that everyone has access to all of their abilities and that means Vin has Atium. That pushes her team ahead. -
Duel to the Death: The Lord Ruler or Vasher?
Boongeebee replied to Turos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
The Lord Ruler just has too many options.Vasher goes down. -
Duel to the Death: Dalinar/Marsh vs. Raoden/Sazed
Boongeebee replied to Turos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think Dalinar and Marsh have the advantage of speed. Their powers do not require as much time to use. On the other hand, Raoden and Sazed are, in my opinion, have more options and are more powerful. Especially Raoden in Elantris. -
Then how would the mechanical have developed and helped the people survive up until Vin and Kelsier? Feruchemy is not mechanically based after the ascension. It is still genetically based. Why else would TLR have instituted the breeding program.

Also, does the Mistborn have Atium? For those who favor the Knights Radiant, what about a Mistborn/Feruchemist?

Well, we do know the mistwraiths did not come before the humans on Scadrial.
