Long Game 14: To Shatter a Shard

Why? Why do we have to call everything a poke vote? Let's make it more real.

A PSA from the board of safe sharders (B.O.S.S)

Poke responsibly, poking people can be a safe way to start conversation flow and reveal information.

But 1 in 12 poke votes result in casualties. Don't become a statistic, always check the person doesn't have any previous votes.

Happy poking!

Okay. I'm just gonna quote what I said earlier.

Also, I wonder what would the benefits be if we keep track of each player's changing of planets? If a player say, shifted from Roshar to Sel, would they see the past PMs in that groups or just the one that were ,aid since his arrival. Because if that happens, the OCs don't need to be in every planets all the time. Or something.

What's the possibility of the OCs having a small group in one planet wrecking havok in there while a smaller group hops planet???

Also, I'm not too fond of D1 lynching. But that's because I'm a sap and wouls always feel sorry for the first lynched hahahaha

I can imagine that if someone on your World dies, then you'd want to leave it immediately.

I'm reasonably sure that the PMs are changed every cycle, right Joe

I'll be upfront with you: I plan to switch worlds almost every cycle (if not every cycle. Next time will probably be Scadrial. Last time we ran this game, nobody moved worlds, and it didn't help that much.

Edit: Winter, what's the point of "poke votes" if they don't mean anything and everyone knows it? This way, we have a possible kill. If that doesn't motivate some talking, I don't know what will.

Winter, Kipper's vote created the actual threat of a lynch and therefore added to the validity of today's discussion. I don't see that as any reason to put a vote on him. 2 votes with lots of time left in the cycle isn't going to create a random lynch by any means.

I'm going to place a vote on Raven. She's being awfully quiet, which is a rather drastic shift from her previous two games, where she was one of the most talkative players. Any particular reason for the silence?

That is an unfortunate event right there. Though it's only a poke vote so there is no need to worry, I'm sure he's active.

So, as Alvron said, anyone wish to reveal that they're Odium? Besides that, can Survival please Invest me ASAP? Oh, and other Shards too! That would be a GREAT idea!

First of the Sun has me, phat, Alvron, and Ravenradiant. Raven hasn't yet posted though she has read it after the most recent post. Alv did an intro-RP thing but nothing else. I made a joke, and phat also hasn't posted.

Wilson, I really, really don't blame you for noticing that I'm not as active in this game as the last two. The reason is simple: college started this Saturday. That's actually one of the reasons I wanted to get killed off in MR8-I wanted to only have to focus on one game at a time. However, it means that I will not be anywhere as active as the last two games because of this. I'm going to try and visit the site at least a couple times a day, and post at least once a day, but I can't promise anything. I don't want to miss out on RL.

Beyond that, like Shallan said, I haven't posted in the First of the Sun PM yet. I'm kind of wanting to take the time to RP there, but I'm not sure when I'll have the time. Maybe tomorrow.

At a quick glance, I see Kipper, Winter, and Mailliw up as names to vote, and I'm pretty sure they all are tied. I'd rather hear from Mailliw before I vote, though that might change depending on my time/his presence on the thread.

Raven. I actually figured it had something to do with school, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the response. :)

Second of the Sky, I seem to recall you saying something about wanting to be more proactive? What are your thoughts about the game so far?

Ooh, skewered. I knew that comment would come back to bite him. :P

Edit: Ninja'd by Odium.

i will start a New World PM every Cycle.

If I want to vote for STINK, then would it still count?

Since I once lynched myself, I'm going to say yes, that counts as a vote.

Then I guess that STINK is actually active and has responded to his poke vote, sorry STINK.

So, in the interest of generating more useful discussion, here's an attempt at role-level analysis.

There are, I believe, 27 players (I'm still on mobile, so I can't check Joe's signature). Shards: Survival, Cultivation, Preservation, Ruin, Honor, Devotion, Dominion, Endowment, and Odium. That is 1/3 of our players, leaving 14 players.

Then we have Hoid, and the minor roles. Awakener, Unmade, Thug, Bloodsealer, (am I missing one?). With 13 players, we may confidently assume 2 of each. That would leave possibly 5 roleless players. I believe that there are not more than that.

I'll leave my thoughts on which are more or less likely to be Champions for a later post.

Just popping in to say that unfortunately, I died too late in the other game to join this one. However, I hope those of you here will uphold the noble ideals of the Contribution Crusade! :D Don't allow people to slide into inactivity without explanation! Let those who post the most live a few extra cycles! Let's keep everyone active and productive in this game!

Plus, anyone who does decide to join the crusade gets to add this really awesome banner to their signature.  B)

As I also said, wanting to be proactive and being proactive are two different things.

I am your Lord Odium.

Lynch him!  LYNCH HIM!!!
