Long Game 14: To Shatter a Shard

So Seonid's vote was changed and Phatt's vote dissappeared...

Oh and, you guys said that Joe sometimes puts clues in his Write-Ups right? Then does that mean that there are OCs in those that vote for Lopen? Because the first one to vote for him is Phatt and that does fit with what Wilson is saying above.

Do you just want access to my spread sheet so you can double check all my work before writeups? (Phatt's vote added.)

Right, so I'm Odium. However, that doesn't mean I'm not on the village's side. Apparently the last Odium invested in me before he died, and I received the Shard. But THIS Odium only hates killing! :)

Ok, now this is confusing. I did role block phat but looking back now might have made an error. Now that there are multiple actions that can be done I didn't specify what I wanted blocked. Does that matter? If Phat had changed his poison target and used his kill would ruins block have only stopped one of those actions? If not I have no idea what happened.

Okay so we have a few options.

1) Hoid is evil and role-blocked me. Hoid knows that I have ruin and he also has claimed that he was targeted by survival so had the potential to change sides.

2) Evil Hoid who had been invested in by Odium previously, used a kill and so did Odiums investee knowing that Phat would be role-blocked.

3) I am an OC

4) Wilson is an OC and has just been throwing her teammates under the bus all game. (Highly unlikely)

5) may be other options but I can't think of any.

No, I'm actually Bavadin. I get no special powers from being a Shard, but can have a minor role as well. Basically I'm like the Miller in ToS. He's innocent, but scans as evil.

I didn't.

I highly doubt Hael's compatriot would've given up Odium to you, which means that Hael invested in you, and after he died, the Shard passed to you. Because you had both the investment and Odium on Night 7, you made two attacks, both on me (btw, you're on my kill list for that). And then you attacked Shallan. So....yeah. You did.

There must be a hidden role. Oh fine. My name is actually Bavadin. Hidden roles ftw!!

*ahem* Here:

This is the First and Last game I will say this. THERE ARE NO SECRET ROLES OR RULES.

Care to change that story?

1. I suppose this is potentially possible, though Seonid isn't evil, and I know he isn't. He's been targeted by Survival twice now and he's probably being targeted by Survival again tonight because Survival is a troll. The only way for this to be the case would be if he somehow figured out who the last two OCs were during Day 8, and invested in one of them, turning evil temporarily. He then would've roleblocked you so Phatt could make a kill, and then he promptly would've turned neutral again.

The only problem with this scenario is that we didn't really have any idea who the OC's were at that point, so randomly investing in someone hoping to find an OC likely wouldn't have been very successful. Plus, Seonid invested in me.

2. Didn't happen. Not only because I know he didn't have an Odium investment (Endowment used Dominion on Seonid, redirecting a kill back onto Seonid himself Night 7, so if Seonid had been invested by Odium, he would've hit himself but I was the only one attacked that night) but also because Seonid wasn't previously evil. He couldn't have been.

What it breaks down to is this:

Alv would've had to force Survival to invest in Seonid on Cycle 2. While I'm pretty sure Alv had the knowledge required for the roles at that point (meaning he definitely knew who Hoid was and I suspect he knew who Survival was), I don't think he'd realized that he could force Survival to invest in Hoid. I don't think he realized that was an option until I mentioned it in Cycle 3. By then, Hael was about to be roleblocked and officially caught so they needed to redirect Seonid's roleblock to protect Odium. And then on Cycle 4, Alv redirected Ruin from Seonid to Antillar.

Even if somehow they did turn Seonid neutral and Seonid had gone evil and for some reason Odium hadn't invested in Seonid, which is why he didn't hit himself on Night 7, there's still the question of my own survival that night. Seonid knew about Alvom's Lifeless, but the only lash on me was from Seonid. All the other lashes are accounted for. But I was both lashed and had the Lifeless. Why would Seonid protect me if he was evil and knew I was about to be double tapped? Why would he even offer to protect me? I didn't ask for his protection because I didn't trust him at that point. He chose to protect me. I don't think anyone would've batted an eye if he's said that he was lashing himself, because we'd had him do that at various points as well.

If Seonid was evil, I would've died Night 7. There is literally no reason for an OC team with Seonid on it to want to keep me alive at that point. Seonid didn't know he was under suspicion and the last two were pretty well hidden (one of them in particular). They could've easily knocked out PMs and ridden out the rest of the game to a win. But this didn't happen. Conclusion: Seonid wasn't and isn't evil.

3. True.

4. False.

Who made the second kill if I am evil? I can't be invested with Odium so it couldn't have been me. You think there are 7 OCs!? With the possibility of two more joining them? Which by the way I wouldn't put past Mail and Seonid to both be playing with you and actually be OC aligned.

EDIT: Unless Odium invested in a Worldhopper and they used the kill. Does anyone want to step forward and say it was them? Feel free to just PM Wilson if you don't want to say it in thread.

EDIT2: Apparently I was wrong about me being unable to be invested in. I should have realized that when I got invested by preservation I suppose.

Hahaha. Yeah, thanks Joe.

All I have to say is that Wilson is acting her normal bloodthirsty self again, breaking out the kill lists. I suggest that you guys stop attacking her, because she expects it and is protected up to the neck. Of course, the only reason I said that is because she really isn't protected at all and you can get a free kill on her (at the price of an entry on THE LIST) this Night.

Good luck guys. I'm rooting for the Eliminators.

Oh, did that sound like a death statement? Wasn't.

Edit: I don't PLAN to die tonight.

Ten days: Guilt of the Survivors.

“I’m sorry you know. I thought it was you. Thought it had to be. And now you’re paying for my mistakes.”

Coco was no longer conscious, barely even breathing. Her chest rose and fell slowly, once or twice a minute. She was running out of Pewter, and they couldn’t find more. Devotion had hidden it somewhere before he died.

“If it were in my power, I’d heal you, but we can’t. Your wounds are too deep, your system dependant on a metal we don’t have.”

Her breathing slowed even more as Wilkin watched. It wouldn’t be long soon, but damnation it all if he would leave before she died.

“You’re dying because of me. Just like so many others. but I won’t give up until they’re all dead. Odium and his champions, and any who side with them.”

One breath. Then another. the pauses between them were increasing. She was pale skinned now, her body still bleeding from Endowment's attack.

“I swear to you Coco, I will see the Cosmere itself destroyed before I let Hatred reign. I will make right what I have done to you.”

He waited, watching to see if she would draw another breath. It took a long time, but she did, rasping in just enough. It slowly leaked out of her mouth as he watched. He continued sitting, but the woman drew no more breaths.

Death. It came to the people he swore to protect, often at his own orders. He had more blood on his hands than Odium himself by this point. By the time he was done, there would be too much to wash away.

Wilkin sighed as the back of his neck tingled. That meant he was going to be attacked. Again. He pushed his chair away from Coco’s sickbed and grabbed his sword from where it hung on the wall. He still hadn’t fixed his door from the last attack, so it was wide open. Pressing his back against the wall next to the door, he peeked into the hallway. Two figures walked into view, trailing smoke. He pulled back before they could see him and readied his sword to strike.

Before the first one could come through the door, there was a yelp of surprise, and a clash of steel. Voices cried out as the sounds of combat intensified, crescendoing when a lifeless was kicked through the door, a broken sword embedded in its chest. panicked, uneven footsteps sounded off as someone ran away, obviously wounded by her lifeless.

That only left one.

Wilkin took a step and swung his sword low as the figure stepped through the door. It passed harmlessly through the Odium and bit deep into the wood of the doorframe. He tried to pull it out, but before he could, Odium stretched forth one hand and fired a bolt of power into his chest, launching him backwards through the wooden wall.

He tumbled across dirt and stone, coming to rest a good 20 feet away, feeling the hole burned through his chest. A lethal wound if he was any judge.

He heard more footsteps, signifying Odium’s approach. He stopped next to his head and spoke. “We took your advice this time. Attacking fast, rather than taking the time to taunt. Looks like this time, we’ve finally got you.”

Wilkin grinned through the pain, and released the investiture he had been repressing. It flowed through him, healing his chest and restoring air to his deprived lungs.

There was a long pause as he gasped in a fresh lungful of life, and then,

“No.”

He looked up at his would be killer. “What?”

“NO! This is so dumb! How many times have you been attacked now? Like, 6 or 7?” Despite the lack of facial features, Wilkin could tell he was scowling.

“Yeah, about that many. Three lifeless, several Lashings.”

Odim raised his hands in the air as if beseeching the heavens “Sharddamn it! What is it going to take us to kill you? Do I need to sacrifice a Goat? Pray to Harmony? Do a bloody dance while singing A Little Fall of Rain?

Why does everyone die, except you?!”

Wilkin stared at the Lord of Hatred, and then burst out laughing, his newly healed sides protesting as he expelled all of his breath at the ridiculousness of the situation. They were in agreement it seemed. He could never die, only those he protected could.

Odium scowled down at his tormentor before dropping his arms to his side and shaking his head. “Screw this. I’m going home. See you tomorrow night.” He turned and trudged away, leaving as Wilkin’s desperate laughter changed to sobs.
