"To exist across all times is to be oblivious to the Eschaton, the limit of those times, and Mog-Pharau is that limit. The Eschaton."

Me: *le gasp!* I know what an Eschaton is! I get that reference!

The point? Reading widely, including outside your preferences, makes for a more fulfilling reading experience later on. I would not get as much joy from this sentence from a R Scott Bakker book if I hadn't read some books I thought (and still think)  were garbage at the time!

Fire on the Mountain by Terry Bisson - an alternate history about a world where John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry had succeeded.  was recommended to me by a firend, and its pretty interesting so far - though I'm currently more invested in the "historical" 1859 accounts of the alternate civil war era than I am in the "present day" 1959 storyline.

Picking my way through the Rhythm of War chapters, going through a plethora of non-fiction, and I'm on Song of the Saurials (third book of Forgotten Realms: Finder's Stone trilogy) as part of my journey to read every FR novel.

Finished Gaunt’s Ghost 3 yesterday. Finished Morning Star just now. If SLA 4 wasn’t so close I’d go into the next of series but I’m definitely starting Gaunt 4 no doubt about it.

Its one of the best visual novels I've ever read. Leaps and bounds ahead of E17. I didnt hate E17 but I had really big, really glaring issues with it that weren't there in R11 at all.

As for playing it, I have links to a fan translation since it's not officially released. Though it was a pain to do even then so in the end I had to ask some people on a Discord and they got me a pre-patched version

Moreso than audio books, and if THAT'S counted as reading, this is too! B)

Do you have a Discord account? Doing it in Discord would be most convenient for me. If not, no worries

So uh idk of you know about this book, its pretty niche, but I got it today and I'm planning on reading it. For some weird reason they released a whole part of the book online for free, thats weird, but I'm gonna be reading from after that point. Also the books flap is a map so thats neat.

I’m ditching Outlander 5 for now till I’m more in the mood. Was going to hold off on starting Iron Gold but I can’t get my hands on RoW till I go back to TX it looks like so I’m gonna go ahead with it after all.

So Gaunt 4, Iron Gold and Blood and Bone for current reads.

Iron Gold

Some people are not as impressed with Browns sequel trilogy but in my opinion it’s better than the original. One of favorite character is the Minotaur of Mars who you will meet in Iron Gold. He has limited screen time but steals the scene whenever he appears. Can’t wait for you to read Dark Age. That book is just insane...imagine Golden Son on steroids.

edit: Havnt you been reading Blood and Bone for about 15 months? Seriously bk you need to switch to the audiobook if it’s given you this many problems. Banks is a fantastic narrator and you’ll be done in a week.
