Master of Sorrows by Justin Call. Evidently he belongs to the same church as Sanderson and a resident of Utah. It’s pretty slow so far but interesting. It’s a inversion of a fantasy trope (the prophesied Savior) but instead he’s the Dark One.

I've got them all. I wish I had Fablehaven instead.

Oh, that's sad! I love the character names.

Finished Battle Ground. So good. Hard to rate the book imo though...I will say again this split of Peace/Battle was not really needed. Yeah it would have been a large Dresden book at 700+ pgs but so what? Plenty of 700+ pg books out there ya know? $$$ that’s all.

Spoiler

tfw the biggest change is the main characters death. Wonder how this is gonna be followed up, because he sure isn't dead in later books.

Finished my Through the Looking-Glass reread. My goal in life is to develop an internal monologue on Alice's level.

Typo. I'll take the opportunity to comment on the weather. It's really cold since yesterday's evening fsr

My Halloween read this year is Stephen King's Salem's Lot. Fifty pages to go. I'm mostly lukewarm on it. I guess it's a neat, strikingly traditional spin on the vampire mythos. But then again, it takes the first half to really get going and takes some easy ways out once it does. Not really a strong opinion on this one.

After that, I'll retreat to reading short stories only, so I don't have to drop anyhting once Dawnshard is released. *trembling intensifies*

What, I prefer Fablehaven! Plus, then I'd have 5 books instead of 3.

I prefer 5 kingdoms by a landslide but Fablehaven is decent but I agree with Frustration that Beyonders better
