  1. Currently going through The Door Into Winter by Rob Howell as well as Ceephay Queen by Joel Shepherd. I’m about 2/3 through the former and just started the latter, but it’s hook 8 of one of my favorite space operas. Lots of good reading of late.
  2. The last few years short stories have become favorites. I actually make a video on this recently, and the ones I suggested there were Black Arrow by Bruce D Cordell, Power & Prestige by DJ Butler, The Two Best Thieves in Lankhmar by Fritz Leiber, Black Colossus by Robert E Howard, and Hellsgarde by CL Moore. Most recent ones I’ve read have been Trip, Trap by Gene Wolfe, At Moonset Blackcat Comes by Gary Gygax, and The Dark Eidolon by Clark Ashton Smith. All have been great, and would recommend to fantasy/sci-fi fans.
  3. I was just thinking about this! This is a handle I rarely use, but I got it from Trigun (sci-fi western manga/anime) and the main character, Vash the Stampede.
  4. Picking my way through the Rhythm of War chapters, going through a plethora of non-fiction, and I'm on Song of the Saurials (third book of Forgotten Realms: Finder's Stone trilogy) as part of my journey to read every FR novel.
  5. Impossible to choose just one and be completely satisfied, but maybe Elend.
  6. So you like Dianna Wynne Jones? Have you read Howl's Moving Castle? Is it worth the read? Welcome!
  7. *winspren appear around me* I'll take this win.
  8. There's Deadspace: Martyr and Deadspace: Catalyst. I've read neither, the only video game tie-in novels I have are the Halo ones (up to New Blood), which were really good for the most part, and the Runescape ones.
  9. I don't know why all these people offer cookies without a nice steamy cup of tea to accompany it. Welcome!
  10. I hear a naive higher voice with a slight english accent.
  11. Tylin and Mat's relationship, more headdesk than facepalm.
  12. I greatly prefer physical and I most order my books from Amazon and sometimes Book Depository since the closest book store is over two hours away.
  13. I had the same problem with Fitz and I think it's mostly Hobb's writing style. I finished the book but couldn't be bothered to read the second.
  14. Definitely most excited for Stormlight 4 but it's nice to see the swift progress on Starsight!
  15. I would read A Secret History after the trilogy and before Wax and Wayne, maybe some would recommend it after Bands of Mourning though. Yes definitely Warbreaker before Oathbringer. Oh and welcome!
